i've been working on a proper article, but due to recent events i want to get this news on record as a thread:

popular anonymous race scientist "Crémieux Receuil" is actually a graduate student named Jordan Lasker

🧵
Crémieux is a big deal in tech circles on twitter

Elon Musk and Garry Tan both have subscriptions to him while Balaji Snrivasan and Marc Andreessen have both also interacted with him on here Screenshot of Elon Musk subscribing to Crémieux
Screenshot of Garry Tan subscribing to Crémieux
Screenshot of Marc Andreessen QRTing a tweet from Crémieux about corporate executive diversity
Screenshot of Balaji QRTing a tweet from Crémieux about traffic enforcement in SF
Crémieux is notable for writing an article called "Elites are genetically different
" for the white supremacist substack Aporia

this was noted in an excellent article by @thebafflermag about the return of race science

thebaffler.com/salvos/live-fr…Screenshot of Aporia's homepage with the tagline "Ideas for a future worth wanting". Featured articles include: Elites are genetically different How to solve demographic collapse Human Biodiversity: A Guide Embryo Selection: Toward a healthier society
allegations that Jordan Lasker is Crémieux have been floating around for a while, but no one has compiled comprehensive evidence of it...until now

(we'll get to the Reddit stuff later)

**Emil Kirkegaard**

Emil Kirkegaard is a race scientist who's been featured in many articles about its resurgence, including yesterday in @guardian

theguardian.com/world/2024/oct…

Kirkegaard has co-authored 8 out of 18 papers on Lasker's Google Scholars page

scholar.google.com/citations?hl=e…
Kirkegaard and Crémieux seem to enjoy a close relationship, interacting on twitter

they also follow each other on Substack, though they don't draw too much attention to each other

substack.com/@cremieux/reads
substack.com/@kirkegaard/re… Screenshots of tweets from @cremieuxrecueil to @KirkegaardEmil
Screenshots of tweets from @KirkegaardEmil to @cremieuxrecueil
for example, Kirkegaard posted a list of blogs he reads, focusing on "HBD" (human biodiversity, a euphemism for race science), including Aporia

both Crémieux and Jordan Lasker are mentioned in comments liked by Kirkegaard

emilkirkegaard.com/p/blogs-im-rea…Screenshot of blogs from https://www.emilkirkegaard.com/p/blogs-im-reading-september-2023 they include: "Astral Codex Ten / Slate Star Codex, Scott Alexander is a masterful writer on just about any topic. Aporia Magazine, Matt Archer, Bo Winegard, Noah Carl and others started a new magazine. Razib Khan. The best summarizer of population genetics and history. Steve Sailer. He needs little introduction. Bet on it, by Bryan Caplan. Libertarian perspectives on everything. Very prolific."

on Oct 13, 2022 the Chronicle of Higher Education (@chronicle) published a piece about race science that focused on papers co-authored by Kirkegaard, Lasker, and John Pesta

it makes it clear why Lasker would want to keep his race science anonymous

chronicle.com/article/racial…For “Global Ancestry and Cognitive Ability,” in 2019, Pesta had three co-authors: Jordan Lasker, John G.R. Fuerst, and Emil O.W. Kirkegaard. The Chronicle attempted to contact all of them via publicly listed email addresses, but received no replies. Lasker listed his affiliation as the department of economics at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. However, he’s not listed on the department’s faculty page. Nor did he appear on any archived version of the page since 2016. The University of Minnesota didn’t respond to a request for information about Lasker’s affiliation.
Pesta was officially fired on March 4, 2022, two and a half years after his article was published. In a February 2022 paper by Pesta, Kirkegaard, Fuerst, and Lasker, Kirkegaard still lists his affiliation as the Ulster Institute. Fuerst has dropped mention of Cleveland State, now listing himself as at the Ulster Institute as well. And Lasker now lists Texas Tech University as his home institution. His Substack profile says he is a Ph.D. student there. "It’s obvious I am unemployable in academics now,” Pesta told The Chronicle in an email. “I’d rather not share my current employment s...
then, just 2 days later, Crémieux broke his 2 year hiatus from Medium to make a final post attacking the Chronicle article

however, he only references the authors as "Pesta et al" without mentioning either Kirkegaard or Lasker by name 🤔

cremieux.medium.com/fraud-incompet…
Crémieux's rise coincided with Lasker disappearing from the net

Lasker's Substack hasn't had any activity since the Chronicle article while Crémieux officially launched his own page just a few weeks later on Oct 29

Crémieux appeared using a voice changer on an episode of "The Jolly Heretic" podcast titled "Bad Science vs Based Science"

*The Jolly Heretic*'s Substack tagline is "Fed up with our woke joke universities? Learn based science with The Jolly Heretic"

jollyheretic.com/p/bad-science-…
besides Crémieux, the Heretic has featured Steve Sailer, a far-right writer who coined the term "human biodiversity"

there are also two interviews with Kirkegaard, one of which was on Bitchute before the Heretic moved to Substack

Crémieux also appeared on an episode of *Subversive with Alex Kaschuta*, a podcast about "ideas that may not fit neatly into the Overton window"

🤔

podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/aksub…
Alex Kaschuta describes him as being "let loose onto the world" by Elon Musk after he "lifted the ban on wrongthink" on twitter

(recall that Elon is personally subscribed to Crémieux)
in the podcast, Crémieux discusses the possibility of demographic collapse and talks about how he became a Twitter celebrity - he claims to often DM scientists offering "corrections" or his own information to their tweets
one of these scientists he "corrected" was Dr. Julia M. Roher, who mentioned in a blog post that Crémieux DMed her a paper by none other than Jordan Lasker

the100.ci/2024/01/10/a-c…"Crémieux kindly reached out to me to inform me that actually, John’s analysis may simply be missing violations of measurement invariance that are clearly there when the data are analyzed correctly. Jordan Lasker makes this point in a preprint and provides a re-analysis. And here I thought I had found a nice way to wrap things up with an empirical finding…"
I reached out to Dr. Roherm who was kind enough to send me the full DM text: "Someone wrote a preprint on this"

the DM doesn't mention Lasker by name, which is consistent with Crémieux not drawing too much attention to his connection to Lasker
**Richard Hanania**

Jordan Lasker has appeared on The Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, a Substack run by neo-Nazi Richard Hanania

cspicenter.com/p/about-those-…

Lasker also appeared on CSPI's podcast

youtube.com/watch?v=ptVS4W…
on Twitter, Hanania has interacted with Crémieux's account since started shortly after it was created, indicating that they probably knew each other

Hanania praised one of Crémieux's earlier essays as "discreditinf all of science except one field"

Crémieux and Hanania are also close enough to have a friendly wrestling match! this happened at Manifest, a conference that was recently covered by @guardian for its promotion of eugenicists

theguardian.com/technology/art…

cremieux.xyz/p/meetups-are-… There was gambling on competitions, gambling on coin flips, gambling about how many people would attend a given talk, and even gambling done to ensure something happened. For example, my friend gambled that I wouldn’t get into a physical fight with Richard Hanania. When I learned about the bet, I walked outside, found him, and challenged him to a wrestling match that I won by pinning him in under 15 seconds. “The market had to clear!” and so the market cleared: [Image of a Manifold bet called "Will @cremieaux fight Richard Hanania at Manifest 2024"] The biggest counterparty to ...
to make all of this worse, Lasker was invited this year to @Stanford University's "Classical Liberalism Initiative"!!!

I don't know how Lasker's work came to their attention, especially since he's only a graduate student and known to be a race scientist

cli.stanford.edu/seminarsTalk by Jordan Lasker from March 14, 2024 called " The Academic and Career Trajectories of Underqualified College Admits" at the Stanford Graduate School of Business
for context: the Classical Liberalism Initiative also recently hosted a talk called "Race and the Origins of Wokism"

their next lecture is "From Hysteria to Gender Dysphoria"

🤔 Talk called "Race and the Origins of Wokism - IN PERSON" by Nathan Cofnas
Talk called "Race and the Origins of Wokism - IN PERSON" by Mia Hughes. it's happening on October 24, 2024
**u/tr*nnypornO**

there's also been rumors floating around that Crémieux's old Reddit name was "tr*nnypornO"

the account is a mod on r/psychometrics, r/heredity, r/evopolitics/, r/CrimeStudies, and r/decentralization

reddit.com/user/TrannyPor…screenshot of "Tr*nnyPornO"s Reddit account. it says "Science is an unrelenting battle against ad hoc explanation
allegations that they're the same person date back to 4chan in 2019

(based on some of his older posts, the name doesn't seem to be a joke)

warosu.org/sci/thread/S10…

pumpkinperson.com/2020/01/27/est… Screenshot of a 4chan /sci/ post that says "trannypornO/Crémieux is well connected with researchers as evidenced by his access to unpublished manuscripts and his medium posts get linked on twitter by people with pubs in the field."
A comment thread from https://pumpkinperson.com/2020/01/27/estimating-the-iq-of-39-countries-new-data-from-2015/#comment-151817 King meLo: Trannyporno went pretty hard on it in r/heredity. RaceRealist: What did Jordan Lasker say other than “That’s why he needs to get it published”? King meLo: Who's Jordan Lasker? RaceRealist: TrannyPornO, he publishes with Kirkegaard.
screenshot of a Reddit thread called "The Human Pangenome’s sequence conservation reveals a landscape of polymorphic structural variations" on Unddit with deleted comments restored NitilusBeanus: Hey, does anyone here know how to contact TPO? I have some questions for him. Jamescao_95: He has not been online for some time, it seems. I am not sure if he will return. NitilusBeanus: He wrote a new medium article which is why I was asking! Jamescao_95: Can you please link the article? I was not aware he had a Medium account. NitilusBeanus: https://cremieux.medium.com/fraud-incomp...
there's more connecting evidence, but i'm at the limit for the number of tweets in a thread

stay tuned for part 2!
