MORE/ Don't get me wrong: you can go to a specific event or place where you think your ideology-neutral voter registration drive will pick up more new Republican or Democratic voters. What you can't do is have part of the process be an explicit commitment to one political agenda.

MORE/ That evidence would be sufficient for a criminal investigation. As far as stealing the election is concerned, if Trump wins by a narrow margin and GOP registration figures appear to be wildly skewed from past data, it creates reasonable suspicion for a larger investigation.
MORE/ "Reasonable suspicion" is the lowest standard of proof acknowledged by the law, and is the level of proof required to launch a criminal investigation. There is more than enough hard data and evidence out there now to launch both types of investigation I have described here.
MORE/ And this is just the tip of the iceberg. As a Musk biographer my guess is that he did little legal vetting before launching this scheme—or if he did do vetting, he decided to ignore the advice he received. This is shades of the 2020 election-theft scandal with Donald Trump.
