1/ Let's talk about how the Committee to Protect Journalists, under the leadership of @jodieginsberg and @arlenegetz responded to the largest journalist mass-murder spree in human history. 🧵
2/ Jodie Ginsberg pretended to be stupid for as long as she could, arguing that experts just can't figure out if Israel's journalist mass-murder spree was intentional, or if the IDF was stumbling around accidentally murdering journalist after journalist, often in their homes.
3/ CPJ refused to count nearly half of the journalists Israel murdered.
4/ Denying their life work by excluding the journalists wasn't enough. CPJ then did a stealth mass-deletion (still unexplained to this day) of Palestinian journalists.
5/ CPJ refuses to call it murder, over 95% of the time, when Israel kills a journalist.

(They call it murder 60-100% for Iran, Russia, and China.)
6/ Despite Israel's widely-known "Where's Daddy" policy of murdering people in their homes, CPJ won't call it murder when Israel uses a precision airstrike to murder a journalist in their home. Even after threats and incitement.
7/ We had to publicly humiliate CPJ before they even pretended to care.
8/ All of CPJ's decisions (undercount, deletion, "not murder") seem carefully designed to grant Israel impunity from their "Impunity Index" they release every year.

The Impunity Index is the only item they follow up on year after year, and is widely cited. A clear coverup.
9/ CPJ keeps trying to pull the "Israel must explain" distraction, even as Israel publicly brags about beheading journalists.
10/ And now, after 193 murdered journalists -- or 5 murders, by CPJ's count -- the IDF just put 6 well known journalists on a public hit list.

CPJ's only response is that they "are aware of accusations."
11/ There is apparently no limit to what Israel does that can make CPJ do anything meaningful. A mass-murder spree of journalists? A literal hit list?

The institution is simply too racist to care. This is why we say: "Except Palestine" Image
12/ CPJ handed Israel a "Dangerous Assignment, NOT MURDER" rubber stamp, & Israel ran with it.

Notice the five (5) red marks in the top right. Those represent the only times CPJ called it murder.
