🚨🚨MUST READ: TONS OF BRAND NEW DETAILS ON THE ISRAELI ATTACK ON IRAN 🧵: Below you will find some unbelievable new details on the operation, courtesy of IDF Radio and with the approval of the military censor👇
The attack destroyed ALL of Iran's long-range surface-to-air missile batteries. Iran had two such models: the Russian S-300 and an Iranian-made model. All long-range detection radars were also destroyed. Iran is left with only short-range batteries of local Iranian models.
The main damage to the SAM batteries was done in Tehran and western Iran. The Iranian capital is now exposed and vulnerable. Western Iran is where the ballistic missiles were launched at Israel, which has "operational considerations" for the future.
The IDF's assessment: Iran has lost its strategic defense capabilities for the next 2-3 years. Russia will not be able to provide new systems due to the war in Ukraine, and it will take a long time to produce domestic Iranian systems.
Iran possesses more than 2,000 long-range ballistic missiles. The existing arsenal was not affected - but the production of new missiles was crippled. From now on, Iran will operate with a finite supply because the stockpile it has will not be able to grow for months or years.
More than 140 aircraft participated in the attack, and more than 50% of the pilots and navigators were reservists. Contrary to various reports and publications, the Iranian drone system was not damaged.
The IDF estimated that the Iranians were preparing to respond with an attack of 200 ballistic missiles while the Israeli planes were still in the air. The Air Force was ready with a continuity plan, which would allow both to defend against such an attack, complete all three waves of the strikes, and not give up the destruction of any target.
In the end, the Iranians chose not to respond immediately. Senior security officials said, "Any time that passes and they don't react means that they are doing damage control, thinking from their head and not from their stomach, and considering their steps."
If the Iranians respond, the Americans are expected to participate heavily in defense—through the THAAD battery in Israel and US Navy warships with the AEGIS defense system in the Persian Gulf.

SINWAR, A PISTOL, AND A NIGHT IN NOVEMBER THAT CHANGED THE MIDDLE EAST FOREVER 🧵
A dusty room in a ruined house. A body in the rubble. IDF soldiers cautiously move toward it and carefully pluck the Glock 19 pistol in its waistband to toss it on the floor. The body is Yahya Sinwar. The IDF killed him on Wednesday. The pistol.....well.... now that's where the story really gets interesting.
It is a dark and overcast night on November 11, 2018. A small minibus approaches a Hamas checkpoint in Khan Yunis, where it is stopped. The guards at the checkpoint ask for the driver's identification and peer inside the vehicle at a few other men and women. The driver explains that he and his extended family from Gaza City in the north are visiting family in Khan Yunis. The IDs are legitimate, the Arabic spoken is native, and the occupants are Gazan Muslims. Everything seems routine until it isn't.
SINWAR FROM 10/7 UNTIL THIS WEEK: THE FULL STORY🧵Sinwar started the war on 10/7 in a massive tunnel complex underneath a civilian neighborhood in Khan Yunis. He stayed there and ran the war until December/January, when the 98th Division began operating in Khan Yunis. Commando elements from the 98th discovered the tunnel and raided it, which caused Sinwar and other senior Hams officials, including Muhammad Deif, to flee south to Rafah.
It is still unclear how they escaped south at that time, but the IDF will investigate how they managed to elude them despite Khan Yunis's encirclement. The current assessment is that the encirclement was not tight enough, something the IDF swiftly corrected in Rafah.
In May, the IDF began the ground operation into Rafah, which caused Muhammad Deif to flee north back to Khan Yunis and eventually make a mistake that led to his death in July. However, Sinwar was not able to escape the IDF encirclement and remained in Rafah until his death a few days ago.
A MUST-WATCH virtual tour by Doron Kadosh (IDF Radio) of the neighborhood and house where Sinwar was killed. A thread 🧵
"We already know the route that Sinwar took in the last hours of his life, but today, we can see it with our own eyes: he moved in a small squad with 3 other close bodyguards, a close and very limited circle of secret partners. Here, they encountered IDF forces and split into buildings."
"Looking at the building from the outside - one can perhaps understand why Sinwar fled to it: of all the buildings in the area, it is one of the only ones that remain relatively intact and standing. In the photos here, you can see the impact of the tank shells on the building - from here, the shell penetrated the wall to the second floor - and eliminated Sinwar."
🚨EXCLUSIVE NEW DETAILS ABOUT THE PAGERS - A THREAD: Just when you thought it couldn't get crazier, Reuters released brand new details about Mossad's brilliant pager operation against Hezbollah in September. I will break down the most important parts and the exciting moments.
Let's start with the construction of the pagers themselves. The explosive component, Pentaerythritol tetranitrate (otherwise known as PETN), did the most damage. Mossad technicians found a way to insert a very thin square sheet of PETN between two battery cells and a strip of highly flammable material to act as a detonator. This entire package was placed into a plastic sleeve, which was encapsulated in a metal case roughly the size of a matchbox.
When the command was given, the flammable strip generated a spark to light the detonator and trigger the PETN to explode. The explosives took away some of the battery's power, which Hezbollah noticed when the battery would drain faster than expected. However, they never put two and two together and continued to use and issue the devices.
🔴MUST READ INSIDE STORY ON THE PAGER OPERATION: A summary of the Washington Post exclusive about how the Mossad's pager operation against Hezbollah unfolded. A thread 👇
This operation started in 2022, when the Mossad came up with the idea. At this point, Hezbollah was increasingly worried about its vulnerability to Israeli electronic surveillance and was looking for unconventional means of communication. The group specifically sought a "hack-proof electronic network for relaying messages." This is where the Mossad came in.
The first phase of this plan actually started on a smaller scale in 2015 when the Mossad began clandestinely inserting booby-trapped radios into Lebanon. The article describes them as "two-way radios containing oversized battery packs, a hidden explosive, and a transmission system." This gave Israel full access to Hezbollah's internal communications network for eavesdropping; the explosives were considered a bonus.
🔴🧵📰INSIDE THE MANHUNT FOR SINWAR A THREAD: The IDF (Division 98) came close to Sinwar a few times but missed him by an hour. Items, money, and weapons that were found indicated he stayed there hours before the IDF got to him.
We are closer to him than before," states Shalom Ben Hanan, a former senior member of the Shin Bet. "Sometimes such opportunities arise within a minute. Suddenly, the "Golden Intel" arrives; someone sees him, and he makes some mistake. Undoubtedly, if we manage to reach the operational opportunity and the appropriate intelligence, there will be an elimination."
Despite the American assessment that Sinwar has not left his hiding place in the tunnels in the Khan Yunis area since the beginning of the war, some believe that the leader of Hams in Gaza remains on the move and changes his hiding places. "He needs to move," assesses Ben Hanan. "Wanted persons move from place to place. They usually do not stay in the same place for too long. If you are in one place for too long, there is a greater chance of getting intelligence on you."
