🧵From Maryland to Gaza: How a Company Commander & his soldiers are using Palestinians as human shields
On 29 Oct near 4 AM local time, a story was posted by a soldier in the “Latak” Platoon of Operational Company Mitzvait” of the 435 Rotem Battalion of the Givati Brigade ->
The story shows a collection of 3 pictures in which 2 pictures show a blindfolded Palestinian man dressed in military uniform in Jabalia Refugee Camp, where the unit is currently launching an ethnic cleansing. The soldiers are smiling and chillingly posing for a picture taken ->
from a nearby building. The picture was quickly deleted from the account after I shared it hours later
The footage captures Israeli troops clearly using a Palestinian as a human shield. This image is significant as it represents a rare and revealing case where Israeli military->
personnel are visibly identified in a war crime involving a Palestinian captive.
This investigation aims to provide international stakeholders and human rights organisations with a comprehensive account to hold those involved accountable.
The images feature three identifiable Israeli soldiers from the platoon: First Sergeants Tamir Camisa, Maor Seren, and Shir Balaly, standing in front of a blindfolded Palestinian dressed in military uniform.
All soldiers are currently operating in Jabalia Refugee Camp
Outlined below is the chain of command involved in implementing the use of a human shield.
The names highlighted in the yellow are the soldiers mentioned above
The purpose of presenting the chain of command is to underscore the systemic nature of indiscipline and misconduct throughout the ranks. The soldiers engaging in acts such as burning schools or homes and using Palestinians as human shields in Gaza are not isolated actors ->
rather, they are acting under authority granted—or at least condoned—by their commanders. Incidents like those seen in Jabalia, Rafah & other areas underscore that these violations of Intl law are part of a broader pattern. Captain Yona Kornstein, the company commander ->
authorised and highly likely engaged himself in the the use of human shields given his position as a commander of the soldiers.
Yona is a U.S. immigrant from Maryland with a troubling criminal record, including a prison sentence for attempted murder!
In a Channel 12 interview, Cpt. Kornstein shared details of his past, incl accounts of beating up people in the street, with clubs & knives and also recounted how he admitted to beating passersby for as little as refusing to give him a cigarette
He spent time in Israeli prisons.
This isn’t the first instance of the Latak Platoon using Palestinians as human shields. On May 24, Lt. Amit Nechmya, the platoon commander is seen ordering an elderly man with a partially covered face to move to an unknown location in Rafah. The video was recorded by Sgt Camisa
Other pictures shows the unit abducting and undressing two Palestinians including an elderly man in Rafah
On September 2, Sergeant Tamir Camisa filmed himself at a barbecue on the military base, boasting about how his platoon had “eliminated Gaza.”
Lt. Amit Nechmya, the platoon commander implicated in using Palestinians as human shields, has demonstrated a clear lack of discipline.
He shared photos of himself wearing women’s clothing taken from displaced Palestinian families in Gaza City. His soldiers followed his lead
Another image features 1st sergant Shapira posing with clothes of displaced Palestinians and joking around with the lingerie of women along with his team member Maor Seren.
The entire company was involved in the raid on Nasser Medical Hospital in Khan Younis back in February, and several soldiers, including Maor Seren, shared images of themselves during that operation.
Another soldier from Platoon "Ratak" shared photos of himself inside Nasser Hospital. First Sergeant Ofek Carmon posted images of him reading a book while blindfolded and semi-naked Palestinians were visible in poor condition nearby.
The company also circulated photos of themselves burning a Palestinian school and posing in front of it, captioning it: “A bit of the experiences.”
Their platoon commander, Lt. Osher Bitao, recorded himself setting fire to a home in the city of Khan Younis and shared it on his social media account.
The practice of arson became so widespread that even his soldiers joined the wave
Sgt.Danny Nagoso, from his platoon, uploaded a YouTube clip featuring a song he produced, which included a montage of him and his unit burning homes in the strip.
His fellow soldier from the same platoon, Guy Keynan also posted a photo of himself engaged in the same act in Khan Younis.
The unit has only used schools after displacing families sheltering inside as military bases
The Unit was also involved in forcibly displacing Palestinians from Khan Younis back in Fen. Sgt. Guy & his teammate Noam Amar recorded and mocked the forced displacement. I covered it back then, the military stated that an investigation was launched. Everything is still up
SECTION 2:
The soldiers involved in burning [@alijla2021] house in Tel Hawwa Gaza City was committed by Israeli soldiers of the 890 paratroopers battalion including Maor Ben David, Yair Shimoni and Oded Senvetu back in December.
@alijla2021 This house was burned in December but was very recently flattened along with other homes in the neighborhood, by Israeli soldiers from Company A of the 749 Battalion. I wrote an article about it, detailing the destruction in this area by the unit. You’re welcome to read it
@alijla2021 The video was posted by Maor Ben David showing him burning the home & was only uploaded in mar 2024. He is setting up the 2nd floor on flames
The unit took a selfie at the 1st floor of Abdelhadi family’s home. Maor is also seen inside the home’s first floor before getting burned

🧵Exclusive Investigation: The fanatic settler leader behind Rafah’s Annihilation
Back in January, a settler outlet proudly declared: “If you’re wondering who flattened Rafah, meet ‘Team Uriah’ — the victorious D9 crew!”
At the center of it all: 𝐔𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐦 ->
“If you’re wondering who flattened Rafah, meet ‘Team Uriah’ — the victorious heavy machinery crew!”.
That’s how the Israeli settler news outlet Baz Hadashot triumphantly introduced a then-obscure team of bulldozer operators in Rafah on January 2025.
At the time, “Uriah’s Force” was a name very few had heard. But for those closely following the relentless destruction in Rafah since the genocide resumed back in March, it would soon become shorthand for one of the most aggressive & ideologically charged demolition campaigns!
💥In this morning’s edition of [@alqudsnewspaper], we reveal.
Just three days after his dismissal, Major Nikolai Ashurov, the officer who executed the 15 paramedics, rescue workers & UN staff in Rafah, has surfaced in DRC Congo as a mercenary, training their military forces.
-> Nikolai Ashurov is one of 3 managers in Fortress International Mission, a private Israeli security firm, owned by former Mossad Chief’s Danny Yatom’ son Nir Yatom.
-> Two months ago, Danny Yatom told Israel Hayom about his son’s company, saying, “In my opinion, Nir will not want to speak with you, because in this type of activity, it’s better to avoid publicity” israelhayom.co.il/magazine/shish…
1/ New Revelations Regarding the Paramedic Massacre in Rafah
One month ago, on 23 March, Israeli forces executed 15 Palestinian aid workers—among them Red Cresent paramedics, rescue teams, and UN staff. In the same operation, troops killed at least 10 civilians, including five children and a woman. However, evidence suggest that the actual number from that day is significantly higher
Today, the PAL Commission on War Crimes, Justice, Reparations, and Return [The Commission] Legal Director and Chief Counsel- alongside Criminal Defense Attorney Maira Pinheiro,
Investigative Journalist Younis Tirawi formally submitted the first fully exhaustive legal dossier detailing its findings on the Tel Sultan Massacre to both the Palestinian Red Crescent and the UN Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and the ICJ South African Legal Team
The dossier titled "You identify anyone, you eliminate him” consisting of hundreds of pages forensically documents the Tel Sultan Massacre in unprecedented detail, identifies the
commanders and officers directly responsible—circumventing IDF efforts to conceal their identities, establishes the legal foundation for prosecution—and reveals a coordinated operation
involving multiple battalions, multiple commanders, and a sequence of orders delivered through a chain of command that has been painstakingly reconstructed and verified.
It identifies by name key military figures who gave direct orders, fired upon aid workers, buried bodies to conceal war crimes, and terrorized civilians with coercive threats and psychological warfare.
The Commission will announce specific legal actions in the coming period. This submission marks the first phase in our campaign to secure justice for the victims and ensure accountability for the perpetrators
2/ Key Findings:
1. The IDF has acknowledged that the deputy battalion commander led troops on that day and issued the initial order to open fire on the paramedics—, prompting his subordinates to follow suit. Through our investigation, we have identified this officer as 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐯
2. The IDF said that the brigade commander ordered the bodies to be dumped and that the ambulances, UN vehicles and firetrucks to be crushed and buried. The brigade commander of the 14th Brigade is Col. Tal ElKobi.
We suspect that Lt. Col. Asaf Shalem, who served as the brigade’s combat operations officer, played a central role in the decision-making process.
Given his position as the brigade’s combat controller during the invasion and operation in the Tel Sultan neighborhood, it is likely that he was closely involved in the planning and execution of the events that unfolded there.
Israeli Soldiers Hailed ‘Hit on Target’ on Gaza’s Only Cancer Hospital in Netzarim
Now, at least 13 Israeli officers involved in the attack will be taken to court in Turkey, following legal efforts conducted by Turkish-based [@wolasorg] & Pal Commission 1/X ->
The WorldWide Lawyers Association (WOLAS) is pending to file a formal complaint before a Turkish court, presenting substantial evidence in collaboration with the PAL Commission, an international justice project based in New York and operating across 29 countries ->
On March 21, the Israeli military bombed the Turkish Hospital, and leaked footage shows both the Medical Faculty and the hospital being targeted. On Mar 24, Haaretz reported that IDF is investigating Yehuda Vach reg responsibility for the destruction -> haaretz.com/israel-news/20…
“That and also that all the Arabs will d**!
Amen!”
Hello friends,
I am not back yet (hopefully soon), but I want to bring attention to a crime that has taken place on Brazilian territory.
A group of Israeli soldiers/reservists on leave recorded themselves performing genocidal chants and calling for the death of all Arabs.
According to Article 20 of Brazilian Law No. 7.716/1989, it is a crime to “practice, induce, or incite discrimination or prejudice based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, or national origin.” When committed through social media, the penalty ranges from 2 to 5 years in prison.
The Brazilian authorities (including the public persecution and federal police) have been alerted in the state of Bahia about the criminal actions of reservist corporal Shaked Pinchas and her reservist boyfriend Liron Shvartzman, who participated in this offense. Pinchas and Shvartzman are currently in Morro de São Paulo, Cairu municipality.

These individuals seem to believe they are in Israel, where they can openly express racist and genocidal chants against other ethnic groups without consequence.
However, Brazil has very serious anti-racism laws, and I encourage all Brazilians to share this. If an Arab gathering had made similar disgusting statements against Israelis or jews, there would be nationwide outrage. Hate speech and calls for genocide should be condemned, regardless of the ethnic group.
a new outpost is stealing the town's lands and making the residents' life insufferable. One of the settlers is Eitan Ze'ev, known for shooting Palestinians.
Bardala is located in the north Jordan Valley. At the end of last month, an outpost appeared, close to Palestinian-owned private land, and constructions for a road to connect it to the main road are done daily on palestinian private land.
2. Since then, every time the residents tried to access their fields, they were met with a combined settler-soldier militia that physically assaulted them, threw gas bombs at them, and kidnapped a few Palestinian farmers to a nearby military base for a few hours of detention.
3. Since the outpost was established, army and settler invasions to Bardala increased, and one time settlers accompanied by army forces even invaded Bardala's school, assaulted people and shot live fire. The person wearing flanel shirt in the first video is called Eitan Ze'ev, and the settler pointing his gun and screaming in the second video is called Shai Eigner. Remember these names.
