Holy cow!! The assistant volleyball coach at San Jose St Uni (SJSU), the team with the boy on it, has filed a Title IX complaint over this against her own school. Melissa Batie-Smoose is standing with the girls and the allegations are astounding!!
1/
Allegedly, things are falling apart at that school. It sounds like an absolute nightmare for all the girls on the team.
For one thing, they are afraid of being hurt in practice. When the boy spikes the ball the girls are turning away! They don’t want to be hurt. 2/
They tried complaining to the head coach, but he is on the boy’s side. Maybe bc his job is being threatened or maybe bc he is a true believer, but he is calling the girls on the team bigots for complaining.
This is not going over well. 3/
All but three of the women are unhappy about this situation. There is incredible tension. The players are mad the head coach. He is calling them names. Players are skipping practice. People are supposedly very unhappy. 4/
The team captain is reportedly having her scholarship threatened for speaking up.
The ladies don’t like to lose but they also don’t feel like a win is a win either. There is no joy. Even if they win a championship it won’t be a real win. 5/
The team captain is put in the position of wanting to help her team win but not feeling like it’s fair. She is alleged to feel numb about it all.
Can you imagine what they are putting these women through? 6/
One woman allegedly had a panic attack in class when it was revealed to that she was on this volleyball team. The story about this is heartbreaking. 7/
And then there is an allegation that the boy and a player from an opposing team colluded to have the ball repeatedly spiked at the team captain. I’m summarizing this and you just have to read this article. 8/
There is so much in this story that if it turns out to be true is absolutely astounding. I’ve been at this a long time and my jaw was open reading most of it.
Their entire volleyball program is melting down it appears. 9/
Read the whole thing here. You have to read this. Seriously.
Whoever thought this was an ok thing to do was not thinking.
For three hours today I watched a man go on and on about exactly what criteria it should take to allow men into the ladies room. He’s had surgery so he’s decided that the compromise is to let him into our spaces.
Where do they get the nerve to think they can decide? 1/
Then I watched some women say they were fine with it. One of them I know is a man, but others could be women. Where do they get the nerve to think they can decide to open our spaces to anyone?
2/
And all of this for what? Because they can’t bear to say no to these particular men?
It’s ok. They’ll get over it.
Better to tell them no than to cross a woman’s boundaries.

So, I posted yesterday about Keith Olberman’d weird obsession with Riley Gaines. Then I did a search for some of his comments about her. This is just the most recent stuff. There were so many comments I’d be taking screenshots all day.
1/
Here are some more.
2/
And yet another. All his comments are vicious. He is enraged with her for what? For protecting women’s sports? For speaking about schools putting men in the girl’s locker rooms? For saying no?
What she’s doing is amazing. She’s standing up for young girls. 3/
1. How many times does someone says “including others doesn’t hurt you”? We hear it all day long.
They are wrong. They know it. They don’t want you to know it.
2. Let’s start here. When women are a subset of women they cannot lay claim to anything that was separately a woman’s. In one linguistic sleight of hand, women have lost their individuality that determines who has control of something. Be it sports or prison or their name.
3. Now the woman is just a grumpy member of the group trying to keep something away from other WOMEN.
EVERY reason why we have separate spaces women is instantly wiped out with this trick. We are stunned.
We try to explain. We are sure it’s a misunderstanding.
If you don’t know just how blatantly anti woman this whole gender ideology is, here’s the perfect example. Two articles, same site, same day. Discussing the issue for men they know what a man is. But when it comes to women, we are nothing but owners of body parts. 1/
Here, women have lost their existence altogether. I can’t even repeat this headline it’s so demeaning.
I mean. COME ON. 2/
But you say, those aren’t serious publications. Actual distinguished people don’t say ridiculous things like that. You’re being hyperbolic!
Am I really? This is the Lancet. It’s a very high brow organization.
