A water fast is straightforward:

This is a twist on the 7-day water fast.

You start with just water for the first 24 hours, possibly adding some no-calorie electrolytes.

Then, you can have bone broth for the next two days.

3. How does it work?

After about 24 hours…

Your glycogen stores start to deplete.

Once your glycogen is mostly gone…

Your liver begins converting fat into ketones.

However, I would only recommend using it as a tool.

If your goal is to lose weight and build muscle.

Your focus should be:
• Staying in a healthy caloric deficit
• Resistance training 4-5x per week
• Eating 1g of protein per lb you weigh
