HERE IS A THREAD OF NEW TRAITS + CHAMPS 🧵
ACADEMY
The Academy sponsors 3 items each game. Copies of sponsored items grant bonus max Health and Damage Amp. Academy units holding sponsored items gain double the amount, plus an additional 5% Health and Damage Amp.
AUTOMATA
Automata gain a crystal when they deal damage. At 20 crystals, they blast their current target, dealing magic damage + 20% of damage dealt since the previous blast and reset. They also gain Armor and Magic Resist
BLACK ROSE
(3) Summon a chained Sion. He is freed after 5 casts from Black Rose units or when he drops below 65% health. (4) Sion grows stronger and his enemies take more damage from Black Rose units. (5) Sion unleashes dark magic and heals to full Health when freed. (7) When Sion dies, he restores to life with power beyond death!
CHEM BARON
Gain Shimmer after each player combat. If your loss streak is at least 3, gain more. At each stack of 100 Shimmer, the Black Market offers you contraband that only Chem-Barons can use. Chem-Barons gain max Health for each Black Market you pass on.
CONQUEROR
Conquerors' takedowns grant stacks of Conquest. After gaining enough Conquest, open War Chests full of loot! Conquerors gain Attack Damage and Ability Power, increased by 3% for each War Chest opened.
EMISSARY
This trait is active only when you have exactly 1 or 4 unique Emissaries. (1) Gain that Emissary's bonus (4) Gain all bonuses. Emissaries gain 300 Health and 30% DA
ENFORCER
Combat Start: Enforcers gain Shield and Damage Amp. The highest Health enemy units become WANTED! When a Wanted enemy dies, Enforcers gain 30% Attack Speed.
EXPERIMENT
Gain Laboratory hexes on your board. Combat start: Experiments standing on Laboratory hexes gain the Experiment bonuses of all Experiments on Laboratory hexes, plus max Health.
FAMILY
Family members support each other, reducing their max Mana and gaining extra bonuses. (3) 25% reduction, 12% DR (4) 30% reduction, 20% AS (5) 40% reduction, heist on topside! After combat, progress the heist, increased for each surviving family member!
FIRELIGHT
Every 6 seconds, Firelights dash. While dashing, they attack with infinite range and heal a percentage of the damage taken since their last dash.
REBEL
Rebels gain 12% max Health. After your team loses 30% of their Health, a smoke signal appears, granting Rebels 60% Attack Speed for 4 seconds and extra power for the rest of combat.
SCRAP
Combat start: Components held by Scrap units temporarily turn into full items. Scrap units gain Shield for 30 seconds for each component held by your team, including those that make up a full item

Just went 2nd in Tacticians Cup #2, here are the FOUR main comps I played to get that result. None of these comps need spats or conditional augments to play. I will be writing my thoughts on these comps as well as a flowchart near the end of the thread.
Let's dive in!
1. Faerie Kalista
This one is no surprise, its THE strongest comp in the game. Requires very little gold, very stable on Kalista 1 and Rakan 1, and has high win-con. Very good matchups into most comps. You should force it whenever you have a guinsoo or bow opener. It's also a comp you can fall back on if your opener sucks, just take econ augment and full open, bow on carousel, into 4-2 roll down.
HOWEVER, i think people are getting baited into forcing this a bit too hard. If you have a strong AP opener, you should just play AP. Having a strong early/mid game into playing an uncontested line is super valuable.
- Kalista items: Guinsoo x 2 is BIS but hard to get. Guinsoo + LW is good enough
- Rakan items: ANY tank items work but BIS is Warmogs Gargoyle or Steadfast. However just slam whatever you can make (adaptive, dclaw, bramble, etc)
- Extra items go on Katarina/Hecarim/Camille but you don't really want/need extra items
- If you have Faerie + 1, just drop Trist for Bard/Morg. Only play 7 Faerie if you have Katarina items
- Good augments: Econ augments, Royal Guard, Avenge the Fallen, Immovable Object, Giant and Mighty, Scoreboard Scrapper, Combat Bandages
2. Arcana Varus
This comp is gaining traction every single day, AVP is going up as people figure out how to play it. It's very strong and has high cap. Play with sword opener (Shojin/IE). I would not play this from full open though.
Varus items: Shojin IE + 1 (IE x 2 is BIS, can be LW, Redbuff, another Shojin, Deathblade)
Tank items on Shen/Tahm: Vow/adaptive is BIS
AP items on Bard until Xerath, AA on Xerath helps against Faerie matchup
Arcana charm on Tahm. You get infinite HP because of your traits.
Play any preserver before you hit Xerath
Good augments: Arcane Conduit, Arcana Crown/Crest, Final Ascension, Econ augments, Avenge the Fallen
You have to be kind of flexible when playing this comp, there's different variations. If you hit Nasus 2 / Briar on roll down, you can play it over Shen/Hec or the scholars. If you hit blaster + 1, you should play 6 blaster + arcana. If you hit pyro + 1, you should play 5 pyro. If you are not playing that many traits, you Arcana hecarim instead.
Katarina reroll currently averaging a 4.35 in GM+ only outplaced by twin terror comps. I spammed 3 games of Katarina right when patch started and went 1-4-1. (last game I pivoted to Ziggs carry)
Here's how to play it -

- Play with Kat orb drop or glove components
- Kat items: HOJ HOJ JG (you get HOJ from Superfan)
- Other items that work: Rabadon, Nashors, BB, GS, Gunblade, Guardbreaker
- Neeko/Ekko: Spark + 2
- AD items on Zed/Yone
- BOTH headliners work, you just play slightly different boards
- CD Kat caps with 6 CD, Country Kat caps with Thresh and Yorick for 4 guardian

LEVELING/TEMPO GUIDE
- You want to roll on level 6 for Kat headliner and take the first one you see.
- Stabilize on level 6 with a superfan board and then push level 7.
- Similar to Jax reroll, you usually want to reroll on level 7 since the board spikes on 7.
- Once you hit Kat 3, push levels for cap
- Below are boards for CD Kat and Country Kat on level 7
- On level 8, for CD Kat, you can drop Ekko for 6 CD if you hit Qiyana
- On level 8 for Country Kat, you can drop Ekko for Thresh and drop Urgot for 4 CD
1. If you pass a headliner, the next time you see that champion it will have the other trait.
For example, if you pass Edgelord Riven, the next Riven will 100% be 8 Bit Riven
If a unit has 3 traits, it will 50/50 be the other 2 traits. Once you've seen 2 traits. it resets to the other 2 traits.

2. If you pass a headliner, you CAN'T find that same champion for the next x shops. This depends on what cost the unit is. For 1/2/3 costs, its 7 shops. For 4 cost its 5 shops. For 5 costs its 4 shops.
If you pass Executioner Samira, you CAN'T find any Samira's for the next 7 shops
If you pass 8 Bit Caitlyn, you CAN'T find any Caitlyns for the next 5 shops.

3. If you pass a headliner, you will not find a champion that shares a trait with that headliner's +1 trait for the next 4 shops.
For example, if you pass Crowd Diver Katarina, the next 4 shops will NOT have ANY Yones.
What's important here is that it's only champs that share the Crowd Diver trait, so you can still find Samira and Urgot chosens.
However, if it was Country Kat that you skipped, than you CAN'T find any Urgots or Samiras for the next 4 shops, but Yone will appear.
