1/ It is so bizarre hearing reporters ask if Israel "has done enough," when Israel intentionally engineered this entire pre-planned famine by using starvation as a weapon of war.
The famine was announced, in advance, by Israeli leadership.
2/ Starvation was the plan from day one. This is from the person who created the plan to ethnically cleanse North Gaza.
3/ Two days in to the genocide, from the person in charge of coordination between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
4/ Five days in to the genocide, from the person who just got promoted to Minister of Defense.
5/ Same person, six days in.
6/ The new Minister of Defense, 8 days in:
7/ From a member of the Knesset, 9 days in to the genocide:
8/ 10 days in, from a Minister another minister in the government:
9/ Another minister, also ten days in to the genocide.
10/ Another MK, 16 days in.
11/ From the Minister of Defense at the time, one month in to the genocide.
12/ From a Major General, in January.
13/ From the Minister of National Security, in February.
14/ In May, one of the most powerful MKs, the Deputy Speaker demanded aid stop. He *personally* blocked aid from entering Gaza.
15/ When he blocked the aid, he was worried he wasn't getting credit for it. So he went on Israeli media to brag about it. Again, a powerful MK.
16/ And it is important to note Israel has been attempting to use starvation and denial of water as a weapon to ethnically cleanse Gaza for decades.
This is from 1967, from the former Prime Minister of Israel.
17/ Journalists might want to consider phrasing in a manner that isn't "is Israel doing enough to provide aid" and instead ask the more honest question:
"Why is the US complicit in Israel intentionally starving the population of Gaza?"

18/ A post script. Listen to Palestinian journalists.
Betar US, an extremist surveillance group that engages in bomb threats, is denying that disgraced sex criminal Ross Glick is their Executive Director.
Let's explore.
1/ Video, posted by Betar, on 17 January, just two weeks before Betar said it is not true, where Ross says he is their Executive Director.
Again, posted by Betar.
2/ The video Betar posted wasn't the first time Ross Glick claimed to be executive director.
On the 2nd of December 2024, Ross Glick gave an interview to the Times of Israel about Betar's surveillance of US students and activists. He claimed to be the executive director of Betar.
We archive videos. I just noticed we published almost 10,000 videos. What does it mean for us to "publish" a video? And how is that different from when we "archive" a video? 🧵
2 - Every video we publish gets categorized with 5 different taxonomies (category, location, type of target, weapon used, military unit) and is linked to the relevant people and organizations. We also group videos by events.
3 - We often (though not always) add archivist notes for videos and/or events, in addition to the categorization.
We do not write news stories, these are just our notes that we hope will be helpful to researchers. We include links in our notes.
1/ The Zionism Observer genocide archival project is 1 year old today.
A year ago I asked myself what a software developer could do for Palestine, in the face of a genocide. A year ago, I founded a "startup" dedicated to memory and accountability for the Zionist genocide.
Some thoughts, after a year. 🧵
2/ We have a done a lot of archiving.
Over 12,000 videos of the genocide, over 500 quotes demonstrating genocidal intent, and we made custom maps for over 50 forced displacement orders targeting Gaza, and more.
(Links to archival projects are in the bio.)
3/ We built an amazing core team of archivists.
I could never do all this work myself and I am humbled and honored to have assembled such an amazing team. We are still (carefully) growing.
2/ First, it is important to note: Benny Morris advocates lying in service of Israel.
Treating Benny Morris as an objective academic is insane.
3/ Benny Morris doesn't just advocate lying, he is a liar. Here he is either ignorant of his field of expertise, or lying by pretending he doesn't know Israel bombs hospitals:
1/ Let's talk about Kamal Adwan Hospital, and its heroic director. 🧵
On 7 October 2024, the IDF ordered the hospitals in North Gaza "evacuated" as part of Israel's ethnic cleansing strategy of forced displacement from North Gaza.
