I think we need a thread about "Election" and totalitarian ideologies like Communism. Communism always sells itself as being the champion of "the people" or "the oppressed," and then it speaks for them and uses them to obtain power, usually destroying them along the way. 🧵
If you don't understand Marxism/Communism as a Sociognostic (Social Gnostic) faith based on the idea that certain people have Woke up to a hidden truth that changes everything and only they can direct the affairs, you don't understand it at all, so that's first.
Originally, Marxists had Woke up to the belief that human beings are intrinsically social, by which they meant socialist. Marx was very clear that only by remembering his true social nature could man realize his true human nature. In fact, he made social(ist) and human synonyms.
Famously, one of the impacts of this self-serving cultist belief is that people who aren't socialists, that is, people who aren't Woke to the true structure of the world and man's nature, aren't fully human or renounce their humanity. They're animals or worse than animals.
Mao Zedong probably said it the most explicitly in 1958: "Not to have a correct political orientation is like not having a soul." Well, if non-socialists aren't human, they can be beaten, bullied, robbed, and murdered because they don't qualify for "human rights" at all.
That's tangential to my point, though, believe it or not. Central to the point I want to make is that only people who qualify as human, according to Marxists, can have power over other people. That is, only socialists can rule. Of course, the Marxists center themselves in power.
Moreover, only the Woke understand the world in this cult belief system. Therefore, only they can speak, and when they speak, they speak on behalf of everyone else because most people have "false consciousness" about the world, humanity, and how things work. This is important.
Marxism also operates based on a model of class conflict or class antagonism, i.e., group identity politics. Everyone is in a class, but not everyone is class conscious. Only the Woke socialists are class conscious, so they speak in particular for the class they "represent."
Now we can get to the point and a lot of examples. Totalitarian thinking, including Marxist, believes that only the properly Woke people can speak with authority, and their voice is authoritative for the class they represent. This allows them to pull one of their biggest tricks.
That trick, in general, is that if you criticize the Wokes, you will be accused (often credibly but falsely) of attacking the class interest the Wokes claim to represent. You therefore cannot criticize a Marxist without being "against the people," for example.
This same trick plays out in every single totalitarian program, whether Marxist, Fascist, religio-fascist, or otherwise. There are Elect Wokes who represent the "right understanding" of the world (the "Science"), and if you criticize them, you have "attacked" the group.
In Critical Race Theory (Race Marxism), "antiracism" is the Woke belief. If you attack CRT or its grifters, then you're "racist" and attacking "people of color," especially BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color). That's obviously false, but it's a trick that works.
In radical feminism (Sex Marxism), "feminism" is the Woke belief. If you attack feminism or feminist grifters, then you're "sexist" and a "misogynist" who "hates women." That's obviously false, but it's a trick that works.
In Queer Theory (Sexual/Queer Marxism), "queer" is the Woke belief. If you attack Queer Theory or Activism or its grifters, activism, or avatars, then you're "homophobic" or "transphobic" and engaging in "anti-LGBTQ hate." That's obviously false, but it's a trick that works.
In Fascism, the Woke belief is an ethnonationalist (Volkish) identity and conformity as strength. If you attack Fascism or Fascists, you're attacking the nation, the people, its history, or its traditions. That's obviously false, but it's a trick that works.
In the Woke Right (Woke Neo-Fascism), the Woke belief is similarly Volkish and blames either Jews, women, gays, or the "post-war liberal consensus" for our woes. If you criticize it, you're a "neocon," a "Jew," a "Zionist," a "libtard," or a "shitlib." Obviously false but works.
In Christian Nationalism (Woke Christofascism), the Woke belief is Christian (Ethno)-Nationlism. If you criticize Christian Nationalism, you "hate Christians," "attack Christian brothers," or are a "degenerate" or "atheist." Obviously false, but the trick works.
In Islamofascism, the Woke belief is Islamic supremacy and the rectitude of Sharia. If you criticize Islamofascism, you are "Islamophobic," "xenophobic," or "racist." This is obviously false, but the trick works.
In Soviet Russia under korenizatsiya, the Woke belief was Sovietism. If you criticized any of the ethnic or national minorities for their adoption or application of socialism, you were a "Great-Russian chauvinist." This is obviously false, but the trick works.
In the People's Republic of China, the Woke belief was Chinese Communism. If you criticized any of the ethnic minorities for their adoption or application of socialism, you were a "Han chauvinist." This is obviously false, but the trick works.
I hope you're getting the point without the need for further examples, which are endless thanks to the intersectional constellation and lots of evil history. The totalitarians Elect themselves to representative of "the people" or group because they are Woke (Gnostic Elect).
They use this Elect status to claim to uniquely speak on behalf of "the people" or group and, more importantly, to externalize all criticism onto the group itself so as to inflame the group and its sympathizers to support their "representative" power base.
This is a simple trick that only requires a little bit of learned discernment to spot and to stop falling for, or indeed to call out. It's a very common trick in all nasty and totalitarian politics, so it's worthwhile to get familiar with it and learn to resist it.

I spent the day carefully reading Joseph Stalin's most notable work of Marxist Theory today, "Marxism and the National Question," and it has greatly clarified our contemporary debates about nationalism under the threat of Marxism.
First, let me lay out what this thread is NOT. It is NOT an argument for or against nationalism of any kind. This thread is an explainer that explains how Marxists have been extremely savvy and effective at utilizing nationalist circumstances to their advantage for a century.
In other words, this thread is a warning that if you wish to walk a nationalistic road, which may or may not be a good idea, there is a predictable line of attack from Marxists that has proved extremely successful in many contexts that's highly refined, so be ready.
It's very important to understand that above all else, Marxism is a scam. This includes Woke Marxism. A lot of Woke or Woke-sympathetic people today do not realize that Marxism is a deliberate scam that uses the apparent plight of the less fortunate to gain power for itself. 🧵
Marxism sells itself by being "for the oppressed," whether that's class oppression, racial oppression, sexual oppression, or any other kind of oppression, but that's just the sales pitch. Marxism is a scam. It champions those causes to position itself to steal power. Here's how.
The mechanism of Marxism is always the same, whether Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, or any others, including the Woke today. There's some "Enlightened" group of theorists who concentrate in a Party and in committees (Soviets) who will administer the redistribution system. Always.
We're hearing a ton about the political "pendulum" swinging back now that Woke Marxism is so widely reviled. It's extremely important to understand that the globalist demons who control the pendulum will make sure it swings to their advantage, not according to a natural course.🧵
I actually did a short podcast with a helpful graphic about this "pendulum" dynamic, so you should definitely check that out, but I want to add a little more color and depth to what I was saying here in this thread. newdiscourses.com/2024/02/how-th…
The dynamic in play is not between Left and Right, as in the issue is not that Communists pull the politics way too far to the Left so it will naturally swing way too far back to the Right. That's a constructed and purposed lie meant to advance the agenda of the evil behind it.
Fascism (Woke Right) is the bastard child of Communism (Woke Left). This is a visceral but real metaphor. After Communism comes along and rapes a healthy society, its bastard son, Fascism, is born, taking up most of its father's characteristics but with even less wisdom.
It's not a mystery to me at all now where Fascism comes from or how it takes root. It takes root purely in reaction to the destruction of Communism by stealing its methods and applying them with even less restraint and strategy, mostly fueled by disgust and a desire for revenge.
All true anti-Fascists must therefore be anti-Communists first, because Fascism is the bastard son of Communism. There's a twist, though, to the Communist's advantage in allowing the Fascist turn. It can't last. It never lasts. And Communism gets to pick up the pieces.
"But, James," I get asked (all the time), "aren't you concerned that electing Trump might open the door to an American Fascism?"
Well, to tell you the truth, I am, and it's because of the clear rise of the obviously Fascist Woke Right, but that has very little to do with Trump.
If you aren't hip to the phenomenon called the "Woke Right" (better name pending), it's a postmodernist neo-Fascist movement ("post-liberal" or "post-liberty") on the American "Right" that acts Woke and is Woke after its own fashion. Let's talk about them and electoral things.
What makes them "Woke"? Well, that's simple. They've Woke up to a structural marginalizing ideology in society that prevents the True Conservatism/Rightism they represent from gaining political power. They call it the "post-war liberal consensus." They're WOKE to its influence.
Marxism utilizes a broad Continental school of thought I'd call "dialectical sociology," if I was giving it a technical name. It might be useful to people's understanding to outline what I mean by this school of thought. It's a central piece of what I've called Social Gnosticism.
Obviously, there's a lot to unpack on this to make it clear, so an essay or podcast may have to follow (or both). I'm going to start with Rousseau for this description as well. Generally, Continental Enlightenment philosophy (not Scottish!) regards men as imprisoned by society.
The question at the heart of their thought is ultimately, what does it mean to be human? especially given all the apparently artificial aspects of civilization and civilized life. They were therefore, like others, obsessed with understanding the "State of Nature" of man.
