Another New Study Shows That Youngest People Are By Far Hardest Hit By Serious #LongCovid Brain Diseases Such as Memory Loss, Seizures, Movement Disorders, Etc, From 'Mild' Virus
'Younger and middle-age individuals are disproportionally affected' by Long Covid brain diseases 'regardless of acute COVID-19 severity' study shows.
The latest study which is published in the Annals of Neurology journal is just the latest to show that 'mild' Covid is far more severe in younger people than older ones:
This is a consistent finding across multiple studies at this point:
Covid, of course, loves to infect the brain and cause multiple serious ongoing diseases after acute infection:
In the present study, they found that:
'Younger and middle-age individuals are disproportionally affected by Neuro-PASC )post-acute sequelae)...
...regardless of acute COVID-19 severity.'
Noting that:
'younger and middle-age patients suffer from a higher burden of Neuro-PASC symptoms and cognitive dysfunction contributing to decreased QoL (Quality of Life)...
....Neuro-PASC principally affects adults in their prime, contributing to profound public health and socioeconomic impacts warranting dedicated resources for prevention, diagnosis and interventions'

Some of the Long Covid brain disease symptoms noted in the study are shown here:
The study looked at both hospitalized and those not hospitalized (ie: 'mild' acute cases) and found that younger people were far more likely to develop serious brain diseases as a result of...
...infection.
The ages of those studied were split into 3 categories: with 18-44 making up the youngest group, followed by 45-64 (representing middle-aged) and lastly, older people: 65+
As well as younger people being far harder hit by Long Covid brain diseases...
...they also found that they are much more likely to have ongoing shortness of breath, depression/anxiety, insomnia, ongoing chest pain, etc..
Further, the study found that younger people reported a much lower quality of life (QoL) as a result of Long Covid diseases:
'Quality of life and cognitive results in post-hospitalization (PNP) and non-hospitalized (NNP) neurologic post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (Neuro-PASC) patients, ages 18–44, 45–64, and 65+ years...
...Patient-reported outcomes measurement information system (PROMIS) T-scores for PNP (A), and NNP (B) patients show significant differences in NNP patients in the quality of life (QoL) domains of fatigue and sleep disturbance...
...National Institutes of Health (NIH) Toolbox T-scores for PNP (C), and NNP (D) patients reveal borderline age-related differences in executive function in the PNP group and significant age-related differences in the NNP group for executive function and working memory.'
As is noted in the conclusion to the study: the findings have:
'far-reaching implications for public health. Because younger and middle-age people are the most frequently and severely affected by Neuro-PASC, whether this could potentially translate into a higher or earlier incidence...
...of subsequent cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases in this population is a matter of serious concern for our clinic patients.'
They also note the already well-established link between Covid and developing serious, degenerative brain diseases, such as dementia,,,
...and Parkinson's:
'A study of electronic medical records of 35,362 COVID-19 outpatients in Denmark showed an increased relative risk (RR) of 3.5 for...
....Alzheimer's disease and 2.6 for Parkinson's disease compared to outpatients who did not have COVID-19.36 A meta-analysis of 12 studies including 2.6 million post-COVID-19 cases and...
...30.4 million controls showed a significant association between SARS-CoV-2 infection and increased risk of new-onset Alzheimer's disease (HR = 1.50), dementia (HR = 1.66), and Parkinson's disease (HR = 1.44) among COVID-19 survivors'
They note that contrary to the many lies (they say very generously hypothesis ) of 'mild' in young people, the hardest hit by the virus are the youngest people:
'Together, these data refute our initial hypothesis that the burden of Neuro-PASC will be greater for older adults. Our study demonstrates the opposite finding that younger and middle-age...
...patients with Neuro-PASC are more severely affected than older patients, regardless of the severity of their acute COVID-19 and hospitalization status.'
Why are younger people so much harder hit by the 'mild' virus?
The Authors speculate that this is because younger people have a better immune response and as much of the serious disease caused by Covid is actually due to the immune system going into overdrive...
...which again is the exact opposite of the original hypothesis - where younger people and kids were supposed to be 'mildly' affected due to their superior immune systems: of course, you could believe that if you knew nothing about Covid and what it actually does.
#XEC On the packed bus with a two women hacking up their lungs - Covid style/lung scarring style - the retching etc...
What gets me are the people sitting around them who start to get nervous—pulling their shirts up so they cover a nostril surreptitiously.
... and nervously squirming in the seat, looking like they want to get up and sit somewhere else but don't want to be rude.
Even the hacking up their lungs women started to vaguely cover their mouths with their shirts occasionally as if to try and hemorrhage their retching...
Covid and masks very firmly a social taboo at this point - leading to these strange behaviors - in the UK we've had years now of people just openly, proudly coughing and hacking up their lungs everywhere:
(Another) Study Shows N95 Masks Are Near Perfect At Blocking Covid #XEC
Specifically: the present study looked at masks preventing infection from spreading from the infected to everyone else: rather than protection from the unmasked infected to the masked uninfected:
Nonetheless, the study showed that N95s masks were nearly perfect at preventing the masked infected from spreading to everyone else and further the results show that even a cloth mask is pretty effective in this regard:
The latest guide for workers who are exposed to the deadly novel bird flu virus states clearly that the virus:
'could make you sick if you breathe it in or if it gets in your eyes, nose, or mouth.'
And recommends that a:
...'NIOSH Approved® particulate respirator (such as an N95®)' be worn as well as:
'Head cover or hair cover
· Safety goggles
. Optional face shield over the
top of goggles
Sleeved apron that keeps you dry...
...· Disposable gloves with optional
outer work gloves
· Boot covers or boots'
Strangely though, despite stating that the virus can be breathed in and advising N95 usage they don't go so far as to say it can infect through airborne route:

Virus is known to have 'pandemic potential'....
The UK'S CDC (UKHSA) has now confirmed a further two cases following on from the one announced last week: bringing the official total in the UK up to 3: this is almost certainly an undercount and likely many cases are going untested...
New Hope As Breakthrough Japanese Covid Antiviral Drug Shows Impressive Results At Preventing Virus Symptoms In Big Phase 3 Trial & Has Potential For #LongCovid Treatment
'Significant reduction' in Covid symptoms reported
The new drug, an antiviral that works by stopping the virus from replicating, called ensitrelvir (Scorpion-PEP) has announced good results in a huge, global phase 3 trial that appears to prevent symptomatic Covid infection:
The phase 3 trial looked at how effective the drug was at preventing symptoms when people were exposed to household contact with the virus up to 10 days after symptom onset:

The British Singer, Tim Booth, recently posted a tweet stating that they had performed at a recent show with the 'beginnings of a sore throat' - Which they then go on to claim was seemingly cured 'by the healing power of music' 🙄...
In response to this, a fan who had attended the show said that they'd come down with the virus after going to it:
