THE WAY FORWARD!!!🚨 Securing the Future of U.S. Elections: A thread. 🧵
After more than a decade working in the election integrity space, we’ve seen a lot. Now, with the majority of America demanding election process improvements, let’s start a dialogue about a better way forward.
@TrueTheVote has put together a comprehensive roadmap to help rebuild trust and improve accuracy and efficiency in our electoral system - through 10 key reforms.
Let’s dive into the highlights of this plan to safeguard integrity and protect voter rights. 🗳️
🧵 1. American Voter ID (AVID)
A decentralized, state-managed photo ID system using technology similar to blockchain. Distributed ledger among states, secure and accurate verification, no compromise of privacy. Public support? 84% of Americans back this reform! 📸
🧵2. Clean Voter Rolls
Approx 16% of voter records across America contain disqualifying inaccuracies—posing a significant risk to election integrity. Modern data practices and interagency collaboration are proposed and detailed in our report. 🔄
🧵 3. Paper Ballots
Move to secure, auditable paper ballots. Why? They’re immune to hacking, provide a clear audit trail, boost public trust, and more. 📝
🧵 4. Transparent Ballot Counting
Real-time public access to tallies and reconciliation processes will enhance confidence in results. Proposed reforms include live-streaming counts and improving ballot curing. 📊
🧵 5. Eliminate Unsupervised Drop Boxes
Citing security concerns, our report advocates for supervised drop-off locations and expanded polling places to ensure safe, fair access for all voters. 🚫
🧵 6. Limit Mail Ballots
Mail-in voting restricted to exceptional cases (military, overseas voters) to minimize risks like ballot harvesting and strengthen accountability. 📬
🧵 7. National Voter Info Campaign
Educating voters on their rights & voting procedures is essential to combat misinformation and strengthen election integrity. Let’s go big with this! Every American should be fired up to vote!! 🤝
🧵 8. Equal Access to Election Data
All stakeholders, not just select groups, should have fair access to critical election data. Transparency builds trust. 🔍
🧵 9. Federal Election Standards
Update outdated laws like the NVRA & HAVA for modern security, including cybersecurity measures and a national Election Day holiday. 🛡️
🧵 10. Foster Election Innovation
We’re proposing “Right to Try” legislation for testing innovative election technologies without fear of politically motivated litigation. Innovation is key to staying ahead. 💡
Reform requires courage and collaboration. This plan centers on fairness, transparency, and empowering voters.
YES, FLORIDA!!!🚨Florida is the FIRST state to sue DHS over their refusal to release noncitizen data so that Florida can clean its voter rolls.
The clock is ticking, and they’re swimming upstream from NVRA since we are past the 90 safe harbor - but better late than never! Let’s hope more states join in!

🚨BREAKING! THREAD! 🧵1. Ohio NGO “Black Fork Strategies” exposed by citizen activists for submitting “FRAUDULENT” voter registrations!
A @truethevote exclusive MUST READ report by @wmahoney5.
THREAD! 🚨🧵2. It seems Black Fork Strategies is at it again in Ohio for the November 2024 election. This is despite a referral in 2023 from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (BOE) to the Secretary of State’s Public Integrity Division for allegedly re-registering voters who didn’t initiate the requests. Thus far, there has been no word about the results of the referral from the SoS.
THREAD! 🚨🧵3. The progressive get-out-the-vote NGO helped register 11,000 Cuyahoga County voters in 2023. The County BOE “flagged at least 18 irregularities in their voter records, including mismatched signatures and address changes voters said they didn’t initiate,” according to local reporting.
True the Vote, Gregg, and I filed a motion seeking the recusal of Judge Kenneth Hoyt in Konnech's litigation against us. That motion was GRANTED today. Recusals in federal court are rare, and this decision reflects the gravity of this matter. 1/5
Judge Hoyt sought unbridled discovery in this case before the most basic elements were litigated, and sent us to prison without bond. He was reversed and admonished by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. 2/5
Konnech has sought to deflect attention from their wrongdoing through litigation, and Judge Hoyt's removal from this matter is a big step forward in unwinding the truth of Konnech's role in U.S. elections and elections around the world. 3/5
