A new thread covering the events in Syria. In and around Aleppo, rebel forces have continued their advance, taking control of several more previously SAA-held area's. It is also reported that small pockets of SAA resistance remain inside Aleppo.

Toward Hama, SAA forces appear to have retaken some towns immediately north of the provincial capital: Jabal Zain al-Abidin and Qomhana. Rebel forces have shifted focus to the west, claiming control of Arbaeen and Umm nir. Image
In Aleppo countryside, rebel forces took over two important places, previously abandoned by SAA forces: As-Safirah and the Aleppo Thermal Power Plant. Image

The SAA has retaken Taybat al-Imam, ~15km north of Hama. It seems clear that rebel forces managed to get inside the capital but were unable to gain a foothold after SAA redeployed heavy equipment. Rebel control goes as far as Suran. Image

According to SyriaTV, Iran will send Afghan Shia militias (Liwa Fatemiyoun Brigade) led by Revolutionary Guards advisors to fight in Syria alongside the SAA in an attempt to retake Aleppo and its countryside. Image
Like we expected. Several L-39ZA/ZO Albatros trainer aircraft, a batch of unguided rockets and also an Mi-8 helicopter fell into the hands of rebel forces when taking over Kuweires Military Airbase.

While rebels declare Aleppo free of government forces, Pro-Assad forces have reportedly sent a security delegation to Antalya, Turkey, for negotiations aimed at halting the rebels' advance toward Damascus, Damaspost claims.
The rebel forces Operations Room declares that after the capture of Kuweires Air Base, radar systems as well as drones were seized previously belonging to the SAA. In one of the recent video's an abandoned HESA Ababil-3 (Iranian made) reconaissance drone is visible.
🇮🇷 Iran pledges unwavering support for Syria. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced his trip to Damascus to deliver Tehran's message of backing the Syrian army and government, citing efforts to counter "sinister plots" in the region.

Rebel forces captured an SAA Strela-10 short-range air defense system.
On the Aleppo-Al-Safira-Khanassir road, a large group of SAA soldiers were captured. Previously, rebels Operations Room already confirmed a group of 30 were captured in this particular area.
Rebel forces captured several T-72 tanks in As-Safira. In addition, a BMP-1 is visible. These were abandoned by SAA forces.

Heavy clashes are reported between the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE/SDF) and rebel forces (mainly HTS) north of Aleppo in the Afrin countryside near Hazwan and Herbel.

In the northern countryside of Aleppo, Syrian rebels (SNA and HTS led forces) have quickly taken over SDF territory. Only few towns remain under SDF control of which is is unknown if there is any SDF presence left at all. Tell-Rifaat is reportedly either captured or surrounded. Image

SDF in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo has accepted a rebel forces (HTS-led) offer for safe passage towards Raqqa. They will leave the area that will allow the rebel forces to completely take control over all of Aleppo. Image
Rebel forces showcased more L-39ZA/ZO Albatros trainer aircraft, captured at Aleppo International Airport from the SAA. These trainer aircraft were likely subject to repair or used for spare parts.

A new thread about the daily events in Syria.

Following the advances yesterday near Saraqib south of Aleppo, rebel forces pushed further east, capturing numerous new towns. And -as expected- entered Abu al-Duhur Air Base. Next stop: Tall ad-Daman. SAA lines completely crumbled.

Rebel forces captured Al-Rayyan, Al-Kanais, Tal Dibs, Tal Karsyan, Tal Karsyan, Al-Rasafa, Kafr Amim, Hazan, Ryan, Bjfas, Al-Buwayti, Blitta, Tal Al-Aghar, Talafah, Al-Dhahabia, Jaleba, Maasran (Russian base was there), Dana, Tel Touqan and Jarada. All in the Aleppo and/or Idlib countryside.

Rebels are also present inside Abu Dhuhur Airport.Image

In a rapid offensive during the last 48 hours, anti-government rebels in northern Syria have captured dozens of villages. Most important: they have entered -and already claim control over- Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria.

A thread is opened to cover the most important events.
Syrian General Maher al-Assad, brother of President Bashar al-Assad, just said that troop gathering is finished within hours and that the SAA (Syrian Arab Army) will not allow Aleppo to fall. Image
Rebels have seized the Political Security Department building in Aleppo. Meanwhile there are reports of new rebel convoys entering the western part of the city.
