This is Marc Andreessen.

Co-founder of Netscape and one of the most controversial minds in Silicon Valley.

He sat down with Joe Rogan and shared some mind-blowing revelations about how the government really works.

Here are 8 of his most shocking insights:
(No. 7 is terrifying) Image
1/ Censorship through Big Tech

Tech companies didn’t just cave to censorship… they were coerced.

The U.S. government applied pressure through threats, funding, and backdoor influence.

This wasn’t just social media policy—it was outright suppression of free speech.
2/ NGO’s: The Government’s Censorship “Hitmen”

Marc described how they used NGOs as intermediaries to do what the First Amendment prevented them from doing:

Censoring.

“Outsourced oppression,” he calls it.

Quite the legal loophole to crush free speech.
But censorship and control go much deeper than just social media.

Here’s where it gets darker…
3/ Social Credit Systems Are Already Here

Marc warned that unlike in China, these systems are hidden behind private companies and services like banking and insurance.

Want to buy a house? Travel? Access your bank??

Comply…or else.
4/ Control Through Regulation

The ideal situation for the government?

Having a handful of huge companies that control a sector that THEY then control through regulatory structures.

Any potential competitors die before they can even start because of all the regulations.
5/ AI Warfare Will Reshape the World

The battlefield is next.

Marc says drones powered by AI will make traditional armies obsolete.

No pilots. No human risk.

But what happens when conflicts feel like video games?

A terrifying thought.
6/ Health Decline Due to Government Control

Marc explains that the most toxic elements of food in the US have come from government agencies inserting themselves in the food system.

Conflicting interests leading to things like…

High fructose corn syrup.
7/ AI Censorship Will Be A Whole New Level…

AI will become the “control layer around everything.”

If that is compromised or weaponized things will look very dystopian.

Marc says the Biden administration were on this path.

Crazy.
But Marc doesn’t believe all hope is lost.

If anything, these challenges reveal the power of dissent, free expression, and innovation…
8/ Heretics Drive Progress

If society can’t tolerate dissent, innovation dies.

Suppression leads to stagnation, stagnation leads to decline.

All great ideas begin as heresy.
Marc’s vision is bold, controversial, and at times…deeply unsettling.

Whether you agree or not, one thing is clear:

We’re living through a HUGE transformation.

Which idea insight hit you the hardest?

Is this the hardest Permanent Residency to obtain?

- 120,000 applications per year
- Only 30,000 accepted
- Even billionaire CEOs get rejected

So what’s causing this 80% rejection rate?

Here’s what you need to know about Singapore's PR program: Image
In 1965, Lee Kuan Yew faced a daunting challenge:

Transform a small, resource-limited island into a global economic powerhouse.

How did he achieve this?

Meritocracy.

Even after his passing, his principles steadfastly remain.
Here’s the situation with the PR:

- 20% acceptance rate
- Wait times can be up to a year
- Real criteria quite unknown
- Zero transparency

Even qualified applicants with:

- Advanced degrees
- High net worth
- Tech leadership roles...get rejected.

This is Europe vs Asia:

• Europe: High tax, high quality of life
• Asia: Huge growth, untapped opportunities
• Which is right for you?

I'm Italian, doing business in Singapore, living in Portugal.

Here's my breakdown of which continent to choose for your future (and why): Image
Let's set the stage:

Europe:

- 44 countries, €15T combined GDP
- World's largest trading bloc
- 447M people, aging population

Asia:

- 48 countries, 60% of world population
- 50% of global GDP by 2025
- 2.3B people under age 30

Two continents, vastly different trajectories.
While Europe preserves/stagnates, Asia builds.

The numbers are clear (somewhat).

But there’s MUCH more nuance to this story.

Some realities may surprise you…

(e.g. Millionaires are still migrating to Europe…why?)

Let’s break it down: Image

Bitcoin is no longer questionable…

It's simply UNIGNORABLE.

Institutional adoption is here:

- $46B already in the hands of countries
- $34B in public companies
- $100B+ in ETFs

If you want to take advantage...

Here are 5 key principles you need to pay attention to: Image
It's no longer a matter of IF, but WHEN.

This time, BTC is irreversibly crossing the chasm.

And UX will play a key role, although few are saying that.

In the meantime…

Here are 5 principles guiding this historic phase:
1. Government-led, NOT retail-led.

Over $180 billion is already held by institutions—not retail, but countries!

Buthan has 1/3 of their GDP in Bitcoin. El Salvador is mining as well.

In the future, if your treasury won't mine will underperform. Image

This is Greece's Golden Visa:

- €250k-€800k property investment required
- One of the most affordable in Europe
- EU residency in 2-3 months

In 2025, startup investment will be allowed – this is huge.

Here’s what you need to know about one of Europe's top passport programs: Image
First, let's understand what makes it unique:

Started in 2013 during the financial crisis.

Now:

- One of Europe's most accessible golden visa
- Over 15,000 investors already approved
- Potentially cheaper than other programs

Quick breakdown here from @NomadCapitalist:
Key Numbers:

- €400k-800k minimum real estate investment (€250k for special cases)
- 3-4 months processing time
- 7 years to potential citizenship application
- Visa-free access: 27 Schengen countries

Despite recent updated terms, the opportunity is still compelling:

This is Mexico:

- Path to citizenship in 6 years
- World's 12th largest economy
- 1.6 million Americans live there

Home to Tesla's newest and potentially largest Gigafactory.

Here are 7 reasons why you should take notice of Latin America's rising powerhouse: Image
First, let's understand Mexico's story:

From ancient Aztec capital to Spanish colony to global economic force, Mexico's evolution has been fascinating.

The land that mastered gold and silver is now becoming a key player in global supply chains.

Great video from @HISTORY:
The numbers that tell the story:

- In 2023, Mexico overtook China as America's top trading partner.
- 400+ companies moved production here from Asia.
- In 2023, Mexico received $36.1 billion in foreign direct investment

But the transformation is just beginning.

This is the Uruguayan passport:

- Only passport in the world to not work as a passport
- Shows nationality as country of birth
- Lack of naturalization path

But big changes are being made.

Here’s what you need to know about this unique situation:

(And why you should care) Image
I recently became aware of Uruguay’s appreciation and consideration as a relocation option.

Mainly from doing a thread that garnered 22mm views.

@imidaily added an important clarification about Uruguay’s passport that I was shocked to learn…
Uruguay’s citizenship system is unique.

Unlike other countries,"nationals" are not recognized - only "natural" and "legal" citizens.

Natural citizens = Born in Uruguay or have Uruguayan parents/grandparents

Legal citizens = Foreigners who gained citizenship
