In January 2023, Tesla did something unthinkable:

They slashed ALL prices by 20% & destroyed their profit margins overnight.

No one understood why they did it.

But Elon saw something no one else did...

Here's the real explanation (& why it's his boldest move yet) 🧵 Image
For years, Tesla had dominated the EV market with premium pricing.

Their strategy was simple: Position as a luxury brand, maintain high margins.

But on January 12, 2023, Musk made an unprecedented move that shocked the industry... Image
Tesla slashed prices across ALL models by 10-20%.

• The Model Y: Down $13,000.
• The Model 3: Down $7,000.

Wall Street was stunned. Billions in market value vanished overnight.

But that was just the beginning...
The ripple effects were immediate:

• Used Tesla prices plummeted
• Existing owners protested
• Competitors panicked

Ford had to cut Mach-E prices by $5,900 just to stay competitive.

The entire EV market was in chaos. But why did Musk do it?
The answer lies in Tesla's unique business model:

Unlike traditional car makers who sell through dealerships...

Tesla sells direct-to-consumer.

This means they can adjust prices instantly based on demand.

But there was a bigger strategy at play... Image
Musk was playing 4D chess:

By slashing prices, he forced competitors into a price war they couldn't win.

But the results shocked everyone...

Tesla's Q3 2023 numbers tell the story: Image
• Operating margin crashed from 17.2% to 7.6%
• Operating income plunged 52% to $1.7B
• Stock price fell 40% since January

Wall Street was panicking. But the damage went deeper...
The used car market imploded:

Some Tesla models lost 28.9% of their value in ONE year.

Even more shocking:

A 2020 Model 3 saw the same depreciation in 3 years as a 2022 Model 3 saw in 1 year.

The entire industry was in chaos. But Musk had a secret weapon...
While competitors focused on car prices, Tesla was building their real profit engine:

Full Self-Driving (FSD) software.

At $12,000 per vehicle, it's nearly pure profit.

And that's just the beginning...
Musk's master plan:

1. Cut prices to gain market share
2. Get more Teslas on the road
3. Upsell high-margin software
4. Launch robotaxi network

Traditional automakers can't compete with this model. They don't have the software expertise.

Think about it:
Even with lower margins on cars, Tesla can make it up through:

• FSD subscriptions
• Over-the-air upgrades
• Future robotaxi revenue

It's the ultimate moat. The most amazing part about this all:
Despite this massive transformation...

Despite the price wars...

Despite the chaos...

They still spend $0 on advertising.

Meanwhile:

• Ford spends $2.2B on ads yearly
• GM spends $3.3B
• Toyota spends $4.1B

Yet...
Tesla sells more electric vehicles than all of them combined.

How? They cracked the modern marketing code:

Traditional advertising is dying:

• TV ads get skipped
• Billboards get ignored
• Digital ads get blocked

But Tesla?
They get millions in free publicity through:

• Musk's tweets
• Word-of-mouth
• Customer evangelism

All because they built in public. This is the future of business: Image
People don't trust corporate ads anymore. They trust authentic voices.

Instead of burning cash on ads, the best founders are building personal brands that:

• Create trust at scale
• Attract customers organically
• Generate opportunities on autopilot

Just like Elon did. So:

Betty Robinson won Olympic gold at 16 after just 4 months of training.

At 19, a plane crash tragically ended her life.

She was pronounced dead at the morgue.

But 7 weeks later, she opened her eyes.

And decided to pull off humanity's greatest comeback: Image
Betty Robinson grew up in an era when competitive running was forbidden for girls.

No women's track teams. No female coaches.

She'd never even considered herself an athlete until one ordinary afternoon changed everything...
Her science teacher, Charles Price, spotted her sprinting after school to catch a train.

Against all odds, she made it.

So stunned by her speed, he asked to time her the next day.

Those results would reshape women's athletics forever...

Trump and Bernie Sanders just joined forces.

They both backed the U.S. government to buy 9.9% of Intel for $8.9 billion.

Forget politics...

When sworn enemies unite, the threat is real.

Here's what made Trump and Sanders become allies overnight: Image
First, some context.

For decades, America championed free markets, and the government stayed out of business.

But that era just ended––$8.9 billion changed hands last week.

To understand why, you need to see the bigger picture:
The global chip market will hit $700 billion at the end of 2025.

By 2030? $1 trillion.

Every AI system, defense weapon, and smartphone runs on advanced semiconductors. Control the chips, control the future.

And America just discovered it's losing:

Elon Musk just stole 18 of Mark Zuckerberg's best AI engineers.

Zuckerberg offered his engineers $250 million each to stay at Meta.

But Elon gave them something money couldn't buy, and they abandoned Meta immediately.

Here's the offer that Zuck's own team couldn't resist: Image
Meta is spending $70 billion on AI this year alone.

They acquired Alexandr Wang's startup for $14.3 billion and assembled one of the world's most elite AI teams.

Which is why no one could explain what started happening in February 2025...
Engineers started leaving.

Not for Google. Not for OpenAI.

They were joining a startup with 1,200 employees.

A company that couldn't match Meta's compensation...

But it could offer something 10x more attractive:

But 1,800 patients just got diagnosed with something far worse.

Ozempic never disclosed the devastating risk.

Now victims are fighting for $2 BILLION in compensation.

Here's the horrifying side effect Ozempic tried to hide: Image
Hollywood's weight-loss miracle wasn't supposed to be a weight-loss drug.

The FDA approved it in 2017 to help people with type 2 diabetes.

But something unexpected happened...
Patients started dropping massive amounts of weight.

Celebrities whispered about their secret weapon, and by 2022...

Nearly 40 million prescriptions had been sold.

The most dangerous man in tech isn't Elon Musk or Sam Altman.

It's the ex-CEO of Twitter that Musk fired.

He's been quietly building an AI empire that crushes Chat GPT-5.

Now he's about to unleash it.

Here's how Parag Agrawal just outplayed the entire AI industry: Image
Who is Parag Agrawal?

Stanford PhD. Former Twitter CTO.

The engineer who built Twitter's AI recommendation engine that served 250 million users daily.

November 2021: He becomes CEO.

But 11 months later...
Elon Musk completes his $44 billion Twitter acquisition.

Within hours, security escorts Agrawal from the building.

No goodbye. No transition.

Just gone.

Then Musk tweeted this meme:

NY's top prosecutor just SLAPPED Trump with a $454M fraud case.

The media labelled it "the biggest takedown of Trump's career."

But while she celebrated on TV, Trump built his revenge case.

Now she's under federal investigation.

Here's the perfect trap Trump set: Image
Letitia James is New York's Attorney General.

In 2024, she won a massive case against Donald Trump:

$454 million for business fraud.

One of the biggest penalties ever imposed on a former president.

Then Trump returned to power:
The Department of Justice just opened a criminal investigation.

Into Letitia herself.

Federal prosecutors claim she violated Trump's civil rights when she prosecuted him.

They're using a law that's never been used like this before: Image
