Congress gave The National Endowment for the Arts *207,000,000*, and then told the NEA to fund projects focused on "the history of Systemic Racism"

Let's look at what the NEA did with your money.

A thread🧵 Image
Image
2/
Congress has the power to fund agencies and tell them how to spend their funding, and Congress told the NEA to "Continue prioritizing diversity" and to prioritize increasing diversity among "NEA staff, the National Council of the Arts, Discipline Directors, and Peer Panelists" Image
3/
In 2021 the NEA said they were "centering equity and justice along the lines of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, gender identity and sexual orientation, geography, poverty, and the infinite ways these intersect in everything we do"

So this isn't something new.Image
4/
The NEA funds wokeness several ways, one of which is the artsHERE program.

artsHERE provides support and grants to "organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to equity within their practices and programming."

So this is funding for explicitly woke organizations. Image
5/
artsHERE handed out 112 grant totaling*12.3 Million Dollars* to organizations who "demonstrated commitment to equity within their practices and programming."

This means the NEA handed out grants to organizations that adhered to the Social Justice politics of the left. Image
6/
So, why is this happening?

In 2021 the NEA created a new strategic plan which stated that the NEA was going to "model diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the arts through all its activities and operations."

So DEI is quite literally part of the plan.Image
7/
According to this plan, one of the goals is to "Invest in the Capacity of Arts Organizations and Artists to Serve a Broader Public through Digital or Emergent Technology."

The reason for this is because tech artists engage with "climate change and racial justice." Image
8/
To be clear, I don't oppose artists who make political art, I'm in favor of free speech. But this is different. The NEA is only funding art that agrees with leftist Social Justice politics. So in effect they are advancing their politics using taxpayer money.
9/
The NEA also says that it is going to implement racial quotas in selecting panelists.

This is basically intersectional bean counting. IT is to hire people are select them for roles because of their race or ethnicity, rather then their qualifications.

This is tokenism. Image

The United States National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration is funding research about:

-How capitalism is oppressive
-Environmental racism
-Latinx Allyship in Atmospheric sciences
-Latinx community recognition

The corruption of government science agencies,

The NOAA is supposed to:

-forecast weather
-monitor ocean and atmospheric conditions
-conduct deep-sea exploration
-manage fishing and protection of marine mammals

However, the NOAA now uses it's resources to spread and advance woke politics and ideology
3/
Here is an article funded by NOAA partners which is specifically about how to use government initiatives, NGO's, Grassroots activists, and education to accomplish explicitly left-wing political and social change.

This isn't science, it's political strategizing for leftists. Image

Woke is a way of thinking abut the world.

Woke activists, in an insane paper about (and this is real) "womxn of color with hxrstories of colonization," give us a definition of the term woke.

They define woke as "Critical Consciousness to intersecting systems of oppression." Image
2/
Woke ideology says society is stratified along group lines and intersecting systems of oppression embedded in every aspect of society ensure certain groups benefit at the expense of other groups. These systems maintain power by conditioning everyone to accept the system.
3/
Thus, according to woke ideology the entire society is a system of ideology that serves the ruling class by conditioning the masses to accept the legitimacy of the system by embedding ruling class values and beliefs in the culture and making them the default views for everyone

The fact that the left is run entirely by college educated women means they can't reach men, and don't even have the ability to even make the attempt.

The right has a host of influencers who speak to men on life issues (parenting, marriage, health, etc) who does the left have? Image
So many male influencers who "code" as right speak to men on issues of life and health: Jordan Peterson, Matt Walsh, Joe Rogan, Andrew Huberman, Chris Wiliamson, Rob Henderson, Bret Weinstein, Jocko Wilink...ETC.

I'm sure not all these guys are conservative republicans, but...
taken as a whole their message and content is at home in the diet of the typical Western English speaking male and fits in with traditional masculinity (strength, bravery, toughness, emotional control, discipline, etc).

None of their content is at home in a "woke" context.

This is what people mean when they talk about "woke right."

The idea that the entire culture is a system of ideology operating at the subconscious level that brainwashes the masses comes directly from the radical-leftist counterculture of the 60's.

It's also totally wrong🧵 Image

2/
There is a segment on the right who saw the dominance of the left and have been studying the leftist counterculture literature. They accept the left's view regarding how culture and society work, and have decided to adopt the radical lefts worldview, methods and tactics...
3/
as well as the leftists intellectual tool of "critical theory" in the service of achieving right-wing political ends.

It's a huge mistake to adopt the left's worldview and it's understanding of culture because that worldview is the reason the left went insane from 2016-2022.

Healthcare organizations are bringing DEI into everything because accreditation agencies that give the accreditation required to receive medicare funding (effectively gatekeeping medicare funding) are making DEI part of their mission.

Woke Accreditation agencies,

Let begin with medical education.

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education accredits organizations offering continuing medical education.

They have decided to make DEI initiatives central to what they do Image
Image
3/
Their strategic plans says they are "incorporating the issues of diversity, health equity, and inclusion into all aspects of accredited education."

This means medical organizations that do continuing education will be required to have DEI incorporated into their programs. Image

Gen z is going through gender-based asymmetric polarization because the left convinced women everything is political and refusal to adopt leftist politics makes one complicit in oppression

This idea has been floating around universities since the 90's

It's also clearly wrong... Image
The problem with the claim was pointed out in 1993 by John Searle:

That a thing has political consequences does not mean the essence of the thing is political, the purpose of the thing is political or the standards by which the thing is judged ought to be political standards... Image
By way of example: every action humans do (an most thoughts they have) effects their heart-rate.

This does not mean that "everything is cardiovascular," or that the standard by which everything is judged it "what effect does this have on heart-rate."

That would be silly...
