Google just threw a $2.7 TRILLION wrench into the economy
Millions of companies will shut down. SEO is changed forever & you have NO idea what's going on
The AI revolution is HERE
If your business' revenue depends on Organic traffic (at all), YOU NEED TO READ THIS 👇
This year, $6.9 Trillion will be spent online, purchasing products and services
43% of that spend is driven by Organic search results. Searches like:
• Best Pizza recipe
• What car should I buy?
• How to lose weight
Who benefits most from these searches? SMALL BUSINESSES...
To capture these searches, businesses have 2 options:
1. Pay for search real estate (PPC) 2. Optimize their websites & create content (SEO)
SEO focuses on specific "keywords" (for many businesses "Long Tail" Keywords) that help the algo put your biz at the top
Businesses sink LOTS of time & money into SEO because 43% of sales come through Organic search
Remind me again, who OWNS search?
Oh ya, Google!
Google's Organic search will facilitate at least $2.7 Trillion THIS YEAR and there isn't even a close 2nd
Because of this & increasing competition, companies look to differentiate their SEO by focusing on "Long Tail Keywords"
These are specific, longer phrases that are more likely to convert to customers
Think smaller number of leads but higher intent
Just look at their usage 👇
Well, what happens when AI generated answers are placed ABOVE company sites that have spent YEARS optimizing for those keywords?
Will people keep scrolling to find those companies?
We are about to find out and people are LOSING their minds
Why is this a big deal? Who cares if a specific answer is given?
Great question! It all comes down to the Sales Funnel
Many companies use SEO as a major "Awareness" channel
It's their top of funnel & Google is effectively taking it away. What happens when you lose that?
Second, those AI generated answers were trained on data, but WHAT data?
YOUR business's data!
All that effort to hone your SEO now being used against you!
But does Google OWN that data? Do you?
The courts will likely decide that but not before millions of businesses fail
So what does it all mean?
For Businesses
- Less Organic Traffic
- Less sales
- New sales channels
For Google
- More time on platform
- More ad revenue (less Organic means people will pay for ad real estate)
- Greater Market Share dominance
Enough of the doom and gloom
I believe that every disruption is also an opportunity.
How many companies were created during the dot-com boom in the 90s?
How many during the shift to mobile in 2008?
What my companies are CURRENTLY doing to prep 👇
1. Investing in Content
We are betting that Google will prioritize high quality content even more as it continues to train and refine its models
The answer to this problem isn't to abandon content; it is to double down on QUALITY content
Quality Content -> Trust -> Purchases
2. Own your Platform
If a simple algo change at Facebook or Google can disrupt your "business" overnight, you don't have a business. You have a ticking time bomb
You need to get your customers OFF platform:
- Collect emails
- Collect phone numbers
- Get addresses
3. Get Educated
Things are changing rapidly. You cannot afford to outsource your understanding of lead generation or sales funnels
Set aside time each week to read, listen, watch, study, talk or do whatever it is you do to get EDUCATED
The winners of tomorrow are made today
4. Go Local
Local search is up 150% YoY. 46% of ALL Google searches seek local info
That's why you're seeing more focus on Google Business Profiles & local rankings (the pic below)
We're so bullish on local that WE LAUNCHED A NEW AGENCY helping SMBs make the switch
tl;dr
- Google just changed SEO forever
- If you depend on Organic search, you're in trouble
- Get prepared by:
* Quality Content
* Owning your Platform
* Getting Educated
AI will be awesome but remember: riding the wave is way more fun when you know how to surf!

As a bonus, check out how a biz went from $350k to $1.7M by focusing on LOCAL search👇
The healthcare industry is WAY behind the times in almost every facet. There is huge opportunity to leverage tech in:
- Diagnostics
- Office Admin
- Billing & Coding
- QA
Tired of doing $25k/month but can't figure how to drive more business?
I sat down with a lead gen machine who's built multiple 7-figure businesses
He's used the same, proven framework every. single. time
Here's exactly how YOU can improve your lead flow and boost sales
Comprehensive Outreach
@mattymclain always uses a multi-channel approach he calls the "Sales Flywheel"
You NEED multiple lead funnels beyond the typical paid ads or SEO. Build your OWN proprietary lists.
• Scrape data
• Cold call & text
• Mailers
• Social Media outreach
Targeted Approach
You need to have your ICP dialed in. Start niche, then expand
Start building COMPREHENSIVE lists of targets, considering every point of entry
For example, Matty currently has a list of all LASIK surgeons AND their staff:
- Phone Numbers
- Emails
- Addresses
