10 Crypto Predictions For 2025. 🧵👇

Every year, I do this series where I lay out my predictions for the coming year.

Last year, I got a lot right (the H1 $BTC correction, growth of the AI sector, big airdrops).

But I also got a some things wrong (ETH and Cosmos eco underperformance).

So, it's that time of the year to do it all again, and shoot my shot at my predictions for 2025!

Let's dive in.

1. $BTC dominance has already topped for the cycle.

Although I think dominance will experience periods of outperformance, I expect 61.5% to be the cycle top.

2. The real fun (on altcoins) won't happen until the 2nd half of the year.

Macro is against us for the time being, and recent PA has delayed the cycle slightly imo.

Only contradictory data is that altcoin seasonality typically favors H1, so maybe we see 2 runs.

3. ETH/BTC will reverse.

I made this prediction last year, but I have to be right eventually - right?

4. $BTC will hit $140k.

I've seen many $200k+ predictions, but I think this is a little far fetched for the next 12 months.

I personally believe Bitcoin will eventually be a $1m asset, but for 2025, $140k seems reasonable.

5. AI will continue to be the dominant narrative of 2025, with a focus on agents.

DeFi and on-chain trading will go through a major transformation (this is the next iteration of AI agents imo), with multiple agents above $1b mkt cap.

6. RWA will go from strength to strength, ending the year as one of the dominant narratives.

Asset tokenisation is only just beginning under Trump, and Larry Fink is likely going to continue pushing his agenda which is great for the sector overall.

7. Major DeFi utility coins (i.e. $LINK, $AAVE, $ENA, $UNI) will outperform.

The market is still undervaluing the Trump administration's affect on DeFi, with income-generating utility protocols set to be a major beneficiary.

8. $SOL and $XRP get ETF approvals.

BTC and ETH approvals + the new regulatory regime should pave the way for more relaxed approvals in 2025.

Coins like $LTC and $HBAR are also in line, but I think demand for SOL and XRP will be stronger.

9. We are going to get a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the US.

The wheels are already in motion, and I expect to see it finalised this year.

That leads me to my next prediction.

10. Many other countries will follow suit and start adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets.

I'm expecting much more sovereign and institutional adoption in 2025.

As always, I'm looking forward to looking back on these predictions in a year's time and seeing what I got right/wrong.
