Here's Bottom 10 Tamil movies from 2024 that pander to D ideology by either targeting a micro community, or by peddling anti-H, or anti-nationalistic communist dialogues.

These films will have to be named and shamed, for these are the Gems of Dravidawood:
1) Ayalaan - great care is taken for a 5 sec "comedy" clip making a random TB mama fall into the sewage drain.

To pick a junior artist, dress him up in a TB mama attire, do multiple retakes to get it right requires ideological passion.

In D-wood film, villain's company is named "Aaryan" industries.Image

2) Lal Salaam - imagine a director going out of the way in her audio launch to claim that superstar is not a Sanghi.

And then makes a substandard secular film with Rajini as Moideen Bhai giving lessons on haram and halal.

What's a secular film, u ask? Simple. One in which the do-gooder hero is a M and the villain is a H.

Thanks to the lost hard disk, otherwise LoL Salaam would have won all Acadummy awards only.Image
3) Hit List - in the debut film of Vijay Kanishka, son of director Vikraman, a deliberate scene is cooked up to malign Hs.

In covid times ICU, one comrade doc requests for oxygen for a pregnant woman from a fellow patient as supply is scarce.

The one who selfishly denies help to a pregnant woman struggling to breathe could have just been anyone. But no.

Dravidawood will make sure this random selfish character is dressed in saffron, having a japa mala, smeared in vibhuti, kungumam, having a Ganesha idol next to his hospital bed to show that religion makes one forget humanity.

And according to Tamil cinema, it is always, one religion's practitioners only that forget humanity. Always.Image

4) In the movie 'Blue Star' directed by Ranjith's AD Jayakumar, one of the nepo-kids who gets picked for cricket at the expense of the (underprivileged) protagonist is named Ashwin.

Do you know which cricketer the team talked to, for promoting this same movie?
Ravichandran Ashwin.

Just the usual Kollywood shenanigans.

If characters with -ve shades are named Ashwin, what is the protagonist's name you ask? Ranjith.

These subpar movies have extensive support from the ecosystem - see FC and TNM reviews, for, these movies exist for posterity to further their ideology.Image

5) Boat might be the most brazen D movie of 2024, that seeks to consolidate its D in-group against the Aryan outgroups.

With deliberately chosen characters & dialogues, this poorly staged film would put Goebells to shame in terms of propaganda.

6) Raayan makes no fuss about metaphorically glorifying Raavana, who fights for his sister's revenge, even when his brothers (Vibheeshana) betray him.

Dhanush himself writes such lyrics: "அடங்காத அசுரன் தான், வணங்காத மனுஷன்தான்" glorifying Asuras as some rebels, a D trope. Image
Image
7) Raghu Thaatha - a political satire film about Hindi imposition, directed by Suman of 'The Family Man' fame.

With dialogues openly glorifying EVR and with scenes where the heroine is at the forefront of protests demanding shutting down of Prachar Sabha, D-wood has normalised Hindi hate for government school kids, even as their leaders run CBSE schools with Hindi being taught well.Image
8) Thangalaan, of Pa Ranjith is yet another cherry on top of his Dravidian cake, rated 5/5 stars on the world's most neutral news portal TNM.

Ranjith's project is to pitch Buddhism as the antidote to Br@hmanism, and also to make an imaginary historical case that the downtrodden people were all Buddhists.

In a 100 years, this film will be cited as the source in D research circles. You can already see how Sura and Asura have been ridiculously defined by such researchers for their agenda.Image
Image
9) Vettaiyan, that features Superstar, fondly referred to as Thalaivar (leader) by his fans, leads his followers to glorify Macualay - the Former Paymaster General of the United Kingdom.

The good fellas in this film are named - Saranya, Guna, Patrick, Nazeema while the ones on the bad side are - Swetha Dhakshinamoorthy, Harish Kumar, Natraj Shanmugam.

We got it, Gnanavel. Criminals will not be found in colonies, only in corporate houses, except producers who fund your films.Image
10) Viduthalai 2 - touted as the weakest Vetrimaaran film, is also perhaps his first BO failure.

VM threw all caution and subtlety to the winds, and went full-on lecture mode in Viduthalai 2. At one point, you wouldn't know if you're sitting in a cinema theatre or in some Communist political meeting.

Apart from justifying Ma0ist vi0lence, VM subtly gives a hat tip to one great leader who put his head on a railway track during a protest.

For the fact-checker that VM is, it'd have been nicer if he had checked which platform the train came and which platform the leader put his head upon. But why let facts get in the way of a good Dravidawood propaganda?Image

Movies are a powerful influential visual medium that Dharmics should never give up on!

The BO failures of Thangalaan, Viduthalai 2 and the success of Amaran must encourage us!

Here are my Top 10 Tamil films from 2024 that are D ideology free and make for excellent OTT watches:
1) Garudan: A rooted, raw and riveting film that explores an untouched area in Tamil cinema - of politicians trying to loot temple property.

The film is unapologetically H, down to its bones and its very soul. Don't fall for the VM credit gimmick. Garudan is D-free (Amzn Prime) Image
2) Barring the deliberate hiding of Major's comm, Amaran is a thoroughly well-made film that's a fitting tribute to the courageous sacrifice of our soldier. A tearjerker that'd make grown men cry.

Its BO success is a slap in the face of ideologues who detest nationalism(Ntflix) Image

Day 1: Reach Colombo airport and go to Kandy, if you have time, you can visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage enroute.

Here, based on the timings, you can watch a herd of elephants eating/ bathing. You can also take a walk with, or feed the elephant for extra cost.

Entry fee is less for Indians than other foreigners, thanks to SAARC. Show your passport to get a 6$ discount.
Check-in at Kandy aka Senkadagalapura, the last seat of royal power in Lanka. Explore this ancient capital city of Sinhala kings which is a UNESCO World heritage site.

Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses Buddha's tooth is famous and filled with pilgrims and tourists. Entry to the complex is 2000LKR for all foreigners.

They provide a cloth to cover your legs just in case. Pilgrims offer flowers to Buddha's relic, and some can be seen lighting lamps.

The complex also has many museums if you're interested. A cultural dance performance is also near Kandy lake, for those interested in recalling Perahera festival vibes from Ponniyin SelvanImage

Today is Bharathiyaar's birthday.

142 years have passed & nobody even comes close to his poetic prowess.

A selfless patriot & a peerless poet, his Dharmic poems rouse nationalism, bhakti & courage in everyone.

Here are 5 places you can visit today to pay your respects! (1/6) Image
Pondicherry folks can pay a visit to this Mahakavi memorial house. Entry free.

He lived here for 10 years from 1908-18 and composed immortal poetry - Kannan Paatu and Kuyil Paatu here.

In 2022, only 500 people per month (~ 16 a day) visited here🥲

Chennaites can visit Mahakavi's memorial house in Triplicane.

He spent the latter portion of his life here. The house he lived is now a museum displaying original manuscripts.

Touching a pillar that Bharathi touched would make patriots of us all.

You must have heard the word 'பன்னாடை' (Pannaadai) as a common insult.

This word is mentioned in 12th century Tamil grammar work 'Nannool' to illustrate the nature of a bad student.

The set of examples for top, mid & bottom tier of students has a life lesson for us all (1/6) Image
Image
Bhavanandhi Munivar, writer of Nanool classifies students into 3 tiers.

The top tier students are like swan and cow.
The mid tier students are like mud and parrot.
The bottom tier students are like broken pot, goat, buffalo and Pannaadai.

What do these examples mean? Image
Mythical swans can separate out the water from milk - it has the ability to discern useful things even out of an adulterated product.

Good students can filter out what's unnecessary.

Cows eat fast but chew slowly. A good student must get a quick download of lessons when learning, but recall it at leisure, and absorb the lessons well.Image

Shouldn't an army Major be remembered for his bravery rather than his caste?

Then, why are some RW handles being "casteist" in demanding an accurate portrayal of Major Mukund's roots in his excellently crafted biopic Amaran?

A thread that offers nuance on biopics (1/10) Image
First off, members of our forces - be it Indian Army, or Navy, or Air Force, these brave warriors cannot be boxed to the confines of caste, creed or religion.

They are unanimously respected for what they do - their selfless service to the nation. Not for who they're born to.
Then why are some RW handles hellbent on showing the real identity of Mukund Varadarajan - a TamBrahm?

If you're irked by it, consider this - how would Tamils have reacted if he was depicted as Major Mukund Menon - from Kochi?

Identity distortion in biopic films is wrong. Image

How should Nandhan's plot have been, for Drav media to have celebrated it?

A hypothetical plot:
First of all, the film must've been titled Kamsan instead of Nandhan - notice the 'subtle' elements in the poster

(1/8) Image
First off, start the film by thanking God Almighty with such an image.

Everybody knows who this ONLY ONE God Almighty is, but still, make things explicit to be double sure. Image
Kamsan is an innocent hardworking atheist who works under Koppulingam's family.

Koppu is a naive politician but has a shrewd assistant named Parthasarathy - who keeps praising him, and instilling evil ideas in him.

When the Panchayat is announced as Reserved, he suggests Kamsan's name to Koppulingam as he'd be loyal.Image
