A few years ago, I received a call from my son's school he was then in grade 6, I was told it's a really important issue that had to be dealt with in person, I was with a client which was an hour away, so they have to wait until I got there in "the Quiet room" when I arrived...
At the office the principal summoned my son and proceed to inform me that my son had pushed another kid. I am not one to condone violence however something didn't seem right so I asked for more details about the incident. The principal told me the details were unimportant as the school had a zero-tolerance policy when it came to violence. I explained to him that without knowing the facts I would not be able to give my son the proper punishment. The principal again objected so I finally asked my son for his side of the story
It turns out the child my son had pushed was beating up a classmate who was confined to a wheelchair. My son pushed the bully to stop him from hurting the kid in a wheelchair.

I asked the principal if this was true and he corroborated my son’s story. I was stunned. The principal then informed me that my son will have to serve a one day suspension.

I was getting a little upset at this point but I managed to keep calm. I thought for a few seconds and looked at my son and said "tomorrow you and I are going to get up early and we are going
for breakfast. After that I am taking you to the video game store as soon as it opens and you can buy any game you want. You can spend the rest of the day playing video games.”

The principal looked shocked at my response and said "I am trying to teach your son a lesson here and you are undermining my authority! We have a zero-tolerance policy for physical violence, and you are sending the wrong message!”
I looked at the principal and explained it was him who was sending the wrong message and that
my son’s only alternative to allowing the bully to beat up a wheelchair bound child was to push him away. I explained that had my son escalated the situation I would be more upset however he didn't.

Ironically, I was able to use this principal’s overreaction as a valuable lesson. I explained to my son that sometimes even when you do the right thing there will be consequences.

Turns out the guy that was pushed his parents are a big donors of the school but I don't care what is wrong is wrong

I have a funny one most people don’t know, it's about Presidents Obamas visit to a restaurant Estela in NYC.

Michelle and President Obama came for dinner, while the secret service politely placed themselves in the kitchen and asked multiple questions about the meal and our....
night Come bill time, President Obama placed his credit card on the bill and our server when to process the payment. Declined. Awkward. What to do?

I should also add that the server was nervous enough to actually spill hot tea on the President during his meal. (He was a great sport about the situation I might add)

Upon the server returning, She politely said something to the notion “Mr President, your card has been declined”. Michelle and President Obama had a good laugh with the Server and Michelle reached
into her purse and provided her credit card for payment.

Before leaving the restaurant, the President told our server “I won't tell anyone you spilled tea on me, if you don’t tell anyone my card was declined”.

Everyone laughed and took a group photo outside the restaurant together. It was a great night for everyone, it was fun and an honor.

I got an advice from my father which helped my marriage for over 4 decades and counting

He knew a thing or 3 about lifelong love when my mother passed away, they had just celebrated their 63rd anniversary

I was working long hours and feeling put-upon when I would come home...
to my wife needing help with the housework and the baby. She didn't come right out and accuse me of slacking, but I felt the suspicions. I was lamenting to my Dad that I just wanted a 50-50 split, thinking, in my naivete that would be an egalitarian solution.

He nodded and in his own no-nonsense way, gave me the sagest piece of life's wisdom. There is no such thing as a 50-50 split. Things will always be unequal between partners.
Some days you will be called on to give more because your wife needs more help, but the scales always tip back and next week you may need her support. At times, you may be called on to give 100%, or you may need her complete support because you have nothing left to give.

Here's the important part: if you are not willing to accept this temporarily unequal state of affairs, then you shouldn't be married. If you don't love your wife enough to put her happiness and wellbeing above your own, then you don't deserve it when she does that for you.

My Dad's been gone for seven years now, but by following his advice, my wife and I have been married for 44 years. We have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren. As we've aged, my Dad's advice has been even more pertinent. In the past year we each had to undergo heart surgery.

My mother loved with all her heart and lost I guess she never recovered Read till the end

My dad left my mom after 20 years of marriage for another woman. They married. My dad left behind 3 kids, 2 of us grown and one an 11 year old boy. At one point, years later, my dad had...
a series of strokes and his “new” wife put him in an Alzheimers ward. We got him out and brought him back to his hometown. We overlooked our bitterness & helped him heal.

My mom and he got back together. I begged my mom to not give him another chance to break her, she had been
healing too. She took him back. We got him restored him to health and he left again, in the middle of the night, to the woman that he had left my mom for.

20 years later…my mom died last year. I sat in her hospital room and stroked her hair as she suffered from COPD and

Girl prank her boyfriend and things gone from bad to worse read till the end

There was a time in my relationship when I thought my boyfriend has fall out of love bcos he went days without kissing or touching me, I felt like he was being distant and unloving, so I wanted to...
know how he will REACT if I left without telling him anything, so I wrote him letter saying i was tired of the relationship and i don't want to live with him anymore, i knew this was really petty and childish but I needed to know how my BF really felt about me.

I mean this is just like a prank or something right 🤷 So I wrote the letter and put it in our room where he can easily find it when he comes back,
then I hide under the bed few mins later he walked in and i see him walking towards the letter, I am peeking under the bed and i see him grab the letter

after a little bit of silence i see him pick up a pen and wrote something on the letter, now I was there wondering what could he have added to this letter then I see him going towards our closet dressing up while he was doing this he seems happy
