Few years ago I was on a train in Switzerland, the train came to a stop & the conductor's voice came over the loudspeaker & delivered a message in German, Italian, then French. I had made the mistake of not learning any of those languages before my vacation, everyone started... getting off the train, and an old woman saw I was confused and stressed (I had to catch an overnight train to Rome, and I was flying home from there). She spoke some English, and she told me that an accident had happened on the tracks.

She asked me where I was trying to get to, then went and talked to some workers, and came back to tell me that we'd have to hop trains 3 or 4 times to get there. I was really glad she was headed the same way, because it would have been hopeless for me to figure it out on my own. So we went from one train station to the next, getting to know each other along the way. She was really the sweetest woman.

I traveled so much over the years, I have sat next to all kinds of people, But by far my most interesting encounter was with an 9 year old girl, who sat next to me on a 4hour flight in 2016

She was traveling with her parents; apparently, there'd been an issue with their... tickets, and they were forced to sit separately --- her mom and dad sat somewhere at the back of the plane, and the little girl sat next to me up front.

I didn't notice her at first; the moment the plane lifted, and leveled off, I dug out my laptop, and started to work on some presentations for my upcoming seminar

After about 20 mins, I felt a tap on my arm, and turned to her. She said : "Hello"

I replied : "Hello".

"What are you doing?"

I was taken aback at first, but I smiled and replied : "Just working"

Her : "Yes, I can see that. What are you doing?"

Her reply struck me as amusing, so I replied : "I'm drafting

Two boys were selling fish in the marketplace. The business was very dull, at last, a customer came He went to the first boy & enquired the price of the fish “It’s 7$ per kilo, Sir” said the boy, the customer just glanced at the second boy & realized that he was also selling... the same variety of fish, hoping to get a better bargain from him, he moved on to him and enquired his price, without any hesitation the second boy said, “It’s just 15$ per kilo.” sir

“ What ! 15$ per kilo ! You are demanding double the price of what the other fellow is demanding, and that too for the same kind of fish. It’s atrocious !”

“ No, it’s not the same kind of fish. It might appear so, but it is a special kind of fish.”
“What’s so special about it?”, the customer became curious.

A few years ago, I received a call from my son's school he was then in grade 6, I was told it's a really important issue that had to be dealt with in person, I was with a client which was an hour away, so they have to wait until I got there in "the Quiet room" when I arrived... At the office the principal summoned my son and proceed to inform me that my son had pushed another kid. I am not one to condone violence however something didn't seem right so I asked for more details about the incident. The principal told me the details were unimportant as the school had a zero-tolerance policy when it came to violence. I explained to him that without knowing the facts I would not be able to give my son the proper punishment. The principal again objected so I finally asked my son for his side of the story

night Come bill time, President Obama placed his credit card on the bill and our server when to process the payment. Declined. Awkward. What to do?

I should also add that the server was nervous enough to actually spill hot tea on the President during his meal. (He was a great sport about the situation I might add)

Upon the server returning, She politely said something to the notion “Mr President, your card has been declined”. Michelle and President Obama had a good laugh with the Server and Michelle reached

I was working long hours and feeling put-upon when I would come home... to my wife needing help with the housework and the baby. She didn't come right out and accuse me of slacking, but I felt the suspicions.
