This is similar to how Mike Johnson as a Congressman spent two years yelling and screaming about the abuses of Section 702 and the urgent need for reform, only to become the biggest advocate of that power - with no reforms - once he became House Speaker.

Dems will vote in large numbers for Marco Rubio, Elise Stefanik, Scott Bessent: all establishment picks.
But they won't vote for Gabbard - a DNC Vice Chair and Bernie supporter in 2016 -- because she's skeptical of the US Security State. Dems don't tolerate criticisms of that CIA, NSA, FBI, etc.
