🧵BOMBSHELL FINDING: Hamas inadvertently admits in new data release that far more men died than shown on “identified” list of fatalities, corroborating IDF claim of 20,000 combatants killed. Hamas reports 7x more fathers killed than mothers during war! Sources & analysis: 1/Image
See Hamas MoH report below. 32,152 children lost father and 4,417 lost mother. This 7.3x ratio is far higher than 2.2x adult men to woman listed on Hamas fatality list from Oct 2024. It can only mean many men killed missing from Hamas fatality list. 2/
Ratio of females age 18+ listed killed to “children who lost mothers” is almost 2:1, but for males it is 0.6:1. A staggering difference of almost 28,000 more “children who lost fathers” than a mother; this can only mean far more male fatalities not counted by Hamas. 3/ Image
Hamas fatality list from Oct 2024 has ~10,000 excess males of combat age versus women, which are likely combatants. But IDF says 20,000 combatants killed. New data on fathers vs mothers killed corroborates notion that 10,000 combatants were not placed on ANY list by Hamas. 4/
New orphan data strongly supports my estimate from Jan 16 (see thread) that assesses 10,000 combatant deaths were not placed on any list by Hamas and are additive to the Hamas MoH identified list of deaths, with other key adjustments (natural deaths). 5/
Note: One cannot tell from new data how many men died as a deceased parent can have multiple children; but a 7x difference in orphan fathers to mothers vs 2.2x male to females in MoH fatality list can only mean many excess males deaths never put on any list (i.e. combatants). 6/
Anecdotal evidence supports this as well. There are now many images and funeral notices of male deaths found in Gaza; no videos of women & children have been posted. These are being compiled on X. Eventually the truth will be revealed on fatalities. END
Some have questioned the source, since they know the data shatters all the fake notions on Gazan casualties. Andalou Agency is a major & credible Turkish news outlet. They report that they spoke to MoH official Zaher al-Wahidi who confirmed the numbers. aa.com.tr/en/middle-east…

🧵Many anti-Israel biases of the Gaza fatality story are encapsulated in this article citing 50,000 killed. This is willful ignorance on the part of CNN and these journalists. Here is a review of how this article is a gross misrepresentation on many levels: 1/ Image
The Health Ministry IS Hamas. H-A-M-A-S. There is no separate independent entity. The media knows this, everyone knows this, but CNN deliberately obscures this fact. 2/ Image
"Authorities in Gaza" don't just fail to distinguish civilian & combatants, but HAMAS deliberately presents all fatalities as civilian as a core policy of disinformation to sway the media and international opinion. CNN knows this too but does not want to report it. 3/ Image

🧵Hamas’ core war doctrine is the use of human shields to deter attacks against its military assets, see core elements below. Hamas supporters & apologists actively cover up for this strategy with false arguments and fake int’l law. This thread debunks 6 of these falsehoods: 1/Image
FAKE ARGUMENT 1: "Hamas does not force or direct civilians to shield their military so they don't use human shields." This fake argument misrepresents international law. Geneva says upfront, merely the "presence” of civilians, even if they are unware, violates laws of war. Image
FAKE ARGUMENT 2: This strange argument was used recently by @peterbeinart, it goes like this: “Everyone does it so who can really fault Hamas. Do you really expect them to adhere to laws of war?" No, we do not. But then the blame for civilian deaths is on Hamas, not Israel. Image

🧵UNHRC “report” is a new low, a blood libel falsely accusing Israel of “systematic” sexual violence, inverting reality as Hamas committed these crimes. UN disgustingly claims Israel's policy is to rebuild "national masculinity through aggression." Detailed review & analysis: 1/Image
Report relies on 3 key false claims: (1) IDF targeted women & girls by policy; (2) IDF hit medical facilities by policy to stop female reproduction; (3) IDF had Gazans remove clothes not for security reasons, but as sexual violence by policy. See some report section headings: 2/ Image
The FIRST evidence UN cites to “prove” Israel targets women by policy is CNN video of woman shot in Gaza street. The UN "verified" video does not show who shot her. CNN claims IDF was positioned 200m away but that’s it. No actual evidence in video of anything just conjecture. 3/ Image

🧵Nasty “Purim” article by @PeterBeinart uses 3 common & inane arguments to justify Hamas' use of human shields: (1) All insurgent groups use human shields so we can't expect Hamas not to. Hamas would lose quickly otherwise so it's OK... so civilian deaths are Israel's fault! 1/ Image
(2) IDF also uses human shields with HQ in Tel Aviv. Key differences: HQ is clearly marked as military, is solely military & not co-located with civilian uses. Beinart pretends he doesn’t know all this; he knows the Pentagon is also in a civilian area and not a human shield. 2/ Image
(3) Strawman argument: just because Hamas uses human shields does not mean civilians are "fair game" as Beinart puts it. No one argues civilians can be targeted, but human shields means when targeting Hamas civilians WILL be killed. It does not then mean it's Israel's fault. 3/ Image

🧵CRITICAL: Until Hamas is defeated, Israel is NOT the “Occupying Power” in Gaza and NOT obligated to provide Gazans food & aid per international law (IHL). IHL defines occupation as authority over territory that can be exercised, which Israel does not have in Gaza. Analysis: 1/Image
There is a false claim that Geneva IV.55 obligates Israel to supply Gaza as an “Occupying Power.” But despite claims that Israel occupies Gaza (often citing an ICJ Advisory Opinion or because the UN says so), per Geneva & IHL, Israel is not an "Occupying Power" today in Gaza. 2/ Image
The definition of “occupied” per Geneva and IHL is derived from the Hague Convention Article 42. See below from ICRC legal article. Importantly, for Israel to be considered the “Occupying Power” it means the “local sovereign” (in this case Hamas) cannot “exert its authority.” 3/ Image

🧵Israel is often accused of "Collective Punishment” of Gazans since many suffer due to war. But this is not at all what Collective Punishment means. Geneva prohibits specific penalties against people who did not commit a crime. It's a false usage of the law to attack Israel. 1/ Image
Concept of Collective Punishment is that “penal liability is personal in character.” You cannot penalize someone who did not commit a crime. Collective punishment DOES NOT refer to general suffering from war or other reasons. Here is the explanatory commentary from Geneva: 2/ Image
Collective Punishment is NOT: Difficulty finding food, closing borders for security, demolishing booby-trapped buildings, evacuating Gazans from war zones, people living in tents, etc. It is related only to penal actions or sanctions against people who did not commit a crime. 3/
