Sam Altman is one of the richest, most powerful figures shaping the future of AI — and humanity itself.
His sister Annie? A sex worker now accusing him of sexual abuse.
How did their lives take such divergent paths? A dark tale of power, control, and financial terrorism.
🧵1/
2/ Background
The youngest of 4, Annie Altman was the "black sheep" of the family. Despite completing pre-med at Tufts, she chose to instead pursue improv, music, yoga — much to her family's chagrin.
Annie: "My siblings and mother Connie were very judgmental about the shift."
3/ The one exception in the Altman family was Annie’s father, Jerry.
They were incredibly close and he supported all her unconventional choices — music, yoga, and even writing a book about "how to human".
In her words: “I will always be a daddy’s girl, and specifically yours.”
4/ In May 2018, Jerry Altman tragically died of a heart attack while rowing on Creve Coeur Lake at age 67.
Despite having a "heart condition," he worked full-time until his death.
Annie had repeatedly urged Sam to help retire their dad, who dreamed of living in Costa Rica.
5/ Here's where the story turns dark, VERY dark.
Throughout her life, Annie struggled with mental and physical health issues, which worsened as she grieved her father's death.
@sama's alleged sexual assault against
@anniealtman108 may have played a role (more on this later).
6/ After her father's passing, Sam, Connie, and her siblings hid Jerry's will from Annie for over a year, until her father's 401K company notified her that she was his primary beneficiary.
It wasn't until September 2019 that Sam finally gave Annie access to her father's will.
7/ Annie then decides to quit her job to focus on her health, expecting that she would receive money that her father Jerry had left for her.
According to Annie, she notified her relatives of this plan, which she described as a "six month plan to heal my body."
8/ While filing paperwork, Annie discovers that her mother Connie, though separated, was still legally married to Jerry — used the "surviving spouse" option to override his will, blocking Annie from the money.
When she asks her family for help, they told her to "work harder."
9/ On December 19, 2019, she posts publicly about her precarious financial predicament on Facebook.
That same month, left without options, she signs up for the first time on SeekingArrangements, a site connecting "sugar babies" with wealthy clients.
Annie: "This is a plan Z."
10/ Annie’s journey in sex work was a mix of survival, trauma, and fleeting empowerment — from her first client's payment immediately covering overdue bills to dangerous in-person meetings driven by desperation, she endured harrowing experiences while reclaiming her autonomy.
11/ Financial Terrorism
Sam and her family did try to offer financial help, but with strings attached — like restarting Zoloft, an antidepressant she’d quit at 23.
Other times, they told her to "figure it out."
On her therapist’s advice, she refused and went "no-contact."
12/ It was during her "no-contact" period (2020-23) that memories of alleged sexual assault by Sam began to resurface (although in 2018, she documented her first memory as a panic attack).
Annie made explicit her allegations in Nov. 2021. Sam's ChatGPT launches in Nov. 2022.
13/ ChatGPT was an instant success. But during Sam's meteoric rise, he said almost nothing about Annie — she was never mentioned in interviews, as if she were a ghost.
At one point, ChatGPT didn’t even recognize Annie’s existence, likely because she was rarely mentioned online.
14/ In 2023, Elizabeth Weil publishes "Sam Altman is the Oppenheimer of Our Age" — in it includes an interview with Annie, unlike previous profiles of Sam.
Curiously, a day before its release, Sam emails Annie, apologizing for not helping her during her financial struggles.
15/ Clearly there's something here. Nobody enters sex work lightly, especially the sister of a powerful billionaire.
At this point, it’s Annie’s word against Sam’s — some say she’s extorting him, others note repressed memories aren’t uncommon in SA victims.

🚨 SCOOP: The implosion at The Daily Wire is accelerating!!
What started with Jeremy Boreing stepping down has now spiraled into MASS LAYOFFS and another FIRING of a senior executive — Alyssa Cordova, the Vice President of Public Relations.
Here’s all the juicy details. 🧵1/
2/ The Daily Wire just fired Alyssa Cordova, their VP of Public Relations.
And according to sources, @lysscordova was "Jeremy’s minion" one was responsible for crafting the company’s aggressive and paranoid media strategy.
3/ Cordova allegedly:
- Stalked former employees online
- Kept folders of clipped videos of their "enemies"
- Helped wage internal vendettas under the guise of PR
One source: The disaster of their PR strategy over the last year was "cooked up between Jeremy and Alyssa.”
🚨 New forensic findings have just been released in the death of Suchir Balaji — a whistleblower against OpenAI.
Police ruled it a suicide.
But the evidence just uncovered tells a very different story: drugging, a possible second bullet, and a botched autopsy. 🧵1/
2/ On November 26, 2024, San Francisco PD informed Suchir Balaji’s family he had died by suicide.
According to the family's attorney, an autopsy was completed just "40 minutes" after arriving at the scene — no interviews, no toxicology report, no ballistic analysis.
Why? 🤔
3/ This is the last known footage of Suchir Balaji before his death.
Multiple other CCTV cameras in his apartment complex — including one covering a secondary entrance — were mysteriously disconnected around the time he died. 🤨
With CEO Jeremy Boreing out and the company in turmoil, let’s dive into the powerful investors backing the Daily Wire — some familiar, others newly revealed. 👀
🧵1/
2/ First, the stuff you already know.
In 2015, Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing launched the Daily Wire, with $4.7M of seed funding from billionaire petroleum industry brothers Dan and Farris Wilks.
3/ Over the next decade, the endeavor was wildly successful, mostly relying on profits to fuel its growth.
...That is until 2023, when Axios reported that the Daily Wire raised an undisclosed round of capital at a valuation north of $1B — with a few surprising new investors. ⬇️
Less than 3 months after the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, healthcare elites gathered just blocks away in a glitzy Midtown ballroom for the "Oscars of Big Pharma" — and to set in motion a plan to "win back public trust."
Here’s what they’re up to... 🧵1/
2/ On December 17, 2024, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was murdered in the streets of New York by Luigi Mangione (allegedly), and many Americans' reaction: "Eh, he had it coming."
In response, the industry is doubling down on PR to take back control of the narrative.
3/ Pillar 1: Aggressive Storytelling
The healthcare industry has learned that they need aggressive messaging to shift public opinion.
From crisis management to bold campaigns, the PR game is now about controlling the message with conviction.
🚨 Gavin Newsom & his allies just forced 12 historic family farms & dairies out of Point Reyes National Seashore in California.
They claim it’s about saving the environment — but the truth couldn't be more different.
Here is the true story — and it's heartbreaking. ⬇️🧵1/
2/ For over 100 years, ranchers and dairy farmers have worked the land at Point Reyes. They built Marin’s organic food movement & supplied fresh milk to Californians.
Now they’re being forced out — by environmental groups, the federal government, and Newsom’s political allies.
3/ When Congress created Point Reyes National Seashore in 1962, ranchers voluntarily sold their land to the federal government under one condition: they could keep ranching.
That promise lasted 60 years — until powerful environmental groups decided to change the rules.
Trump wants to make a historic nuclear deal with China and Russia. Great!
But there’s one nuclear-armed country that never gets mentioned — because officially… it “doesn’t exist.”
Here’s the untold story of the world’s worst-kept nuclear secret. 🧵1/
2/ Israel’s nuclear program began in the 1950s with help from France and later, stolen U.S. materials.
A now-declassified State Department memo from 1960 warned that Israel was building and hiding a weapons program under the guise of a “peaceful reactor” at Dimona.
3/ In the summer 1963, President Kennedy sent a series of increasingly urgent letters to Israeli PM David Ben-Gurion (and later Levi Eshkol) demanding full inspections of Dimona — including threatening to cut off U.S. aid if Israel refused.
