Gavin Newsom claims $24B for homelessness went "missing".
Well, I found evidence of CA officials possibly, allegedly, embezzling hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars through a sketchy Cayman Islands group! 🧐
🧵1/ 2/ In response to an April 2024 audit which exposed that California did not know how money going to solving homelessness was being spent, Gov. Newsom responded by stating the results “did not surprise” him, but added that California has taken part in “unprecedented investments”.

Except, no such thing happened according to numerous legacy publications, including CNN (which retracted their initial report), +972 Magazine, Le Monde, Business Insider (which cited Israeli officials retracting the claim), and Haaretz.
But the lie continues to be regurgitated to this day, most notably by Kamala Harris in her debate last month against Donald Trump.

Mega 🧵1/2/ Before we get into all the receipts, a little bit of history.
Israel's decisive win in the 1967 Six-Day War cemented its military dominance in the region. But the lead-up saw intense geopolitical maneuvering and rising tensions, including Soviet threats to back Arab nations.

You may have heard about the man whose wife died from an allergic reaction at a Disney resort—only to have Disney block his right to a jury trial because he signed up for Disney+.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Here’s what you need to know about forced arbitration. 🧵 1/ 2/ The Federal Arbitration Act, passed in 1925, was originally designed to help businesses resolve disputes outside court.
But over the decades, corporations have weaponized it to strip consumers and employees of their 7th Amendment right to a jury trial.
