1/ An ongoing Russian bid to capture the hamlet of Novoiehorivka appears to have caused such an acute shortage of personnel, due to heavy casualties, that scarce UAV and electronic warfare operators are being expended as assault troops. ⬇️

2/ Novoiehorivka has become the subject of a scandal among Russian warbloggers over the last two weeks, since the Russian MOD falsely announced it had been captured before it had even been assaulted.

3/ This was reportedly due to false reports by Russian commanders on the ground. They have since been throwing 'meat waves' against the entrenched Ukrainians holding Novoiehorivka, which Russian warbloggers say has resulted in huge Russian casualties.

4/ The 'Ural Drone Hub' Telegram channel reports that UAV and electronic warfare specialists are being "thrown into the assault of the 20th Army of the 3rd Motorised Rifle Division."

5/ "They send 4 people to the front, saying that they need to find a position, and then they take them to zero [the line of contact] and force them to assault under [fire from] machine guns.

6/ "5 people, out of an already incomplete platoon – 200 [dead].

7/ "It's not just us, they're sending out electronic warfare operators, we already have problems with equipment because of enemy FPVs, and these assholes have apparently decided to fuck up the war altogether.

12/ Even medical personnel have been drafted as assault troops. After an outcry by Russian warbloggers, this practice was supposedly prohibited, but it appears that localised troop shortages have resulted in it effectively being reinstated. /end
