OK, going to get something off my chest, I don't want people to see this as criticism, but a way to say "think about it".
I have to say I'm not impressed with people who use the #TimeToTalkDay as a way to promote their own business or activities, it seems rather cheap 1/6

and offensive. The day was set up by @MindCharity for people to talk about mental health and stop stigma and some people think it's a way to talk about the activities (free or otherwise) and make a bob or two. I think this is wrong, we should be signposting people to 2/6

charities and letting them talk about their mental health issues, tactics, things they do and ways they have improved (or maybe not) so that others can learn, understand, and make the right choices. Some people are scared to go to the doctor and chat about this, and this is 3/6

why we need these days of recognition where someone struggling can come to a community hotspot and chat with someone, and feel like they've been supported, and possibly signposted for further help. I know this group means well, but it takes the spotlight off the MH aspect and 4/6

puts it on them, and sure they have great activities that can help with MH issues, but it should be a place where X person can sit down and say "I'm not feeling good, I'm worried about X" rather than them coming in and being bombarded with stuff about their eg knitting group 5/6

The focus has to be on mental health, and have a strong emphasis on the support professionals and local communities can play.
