🔴🧵ANALYSIS: Is Trump's Gaza plan real or not? After all the excitement from yesterday's meeting between Trump and Bibi, let's try to understand what is behind it. Is it real, or is Trump just shaking things up?
IMHO, I have significant doubts that the U.S. will take over Gaza; I think Trump put it out there because this is what he knows how to do best—negotiate, and this time, he negotiates using Middle Eastern language.
The best commodity or asset in the Arab world is LAND. People will die for it, and losing land is the worst thing that can happen in Arab culture. So Trump decided to use this commodity to negotiate; the only significant difference here is that now he is using it against the Arab world.
For the past 58 years, the Palestinians have gotten used to the fact that no matter how brutal and savage they act, the world will not hold them accountable. After every act of terrorism, even the most brutal one like on 10/7, the U.S. will immediately pivot to the two-state solution and the need for Israel to give back land. It took Biden just a few weeks after the most horrible massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on 10/7 to return to the two-state solution.
Trump decided to change this horrible policy, but he did it brilliantly. His plan will send a message to the Arab world on two fronts. One, no more rewards for slaughtering Jews; instead, you get a punishment in the form of losing land FOREVER. Second, he ripped the mask off the Arab world that claimed the Palestinians are their brothers and sisters for 58 years and is holding them to it by demanding they accept them into their countries.
In essence, what Trump did is force the Arab world and Palestinians to negotiate on land they lost not 58 years ago but on land they lost NOW. If you want Gaza back, here is what you will need to give for it. Let me emphasize this: the negotiation now is not about Judea and Samaria; it is about Gaza and Gaza only.
You can see the panic in the Arab world today. Egypt called a meeting of all the Arab countries. Reports this morning are that Egypt is pushing construction materials and heavy equipment into Gaza to try to create the illusion that Gazans don't need to be relocated because construction has started.
Trump, the ultimate negotiator, made a firm decision not to follow the same mistakes of the past that only led to death and destruction in the Middle East. For the first time in decades, he held the Palestinians accountable for their actions and forced the Arab world to act instead of just talk. He blew a hole right through their main accusation for the past 58 years, "occupation," because he said the U.S. would take the land, not Israel. Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar, which depend on U.S. support, will not dare to call the U.S. "an occupier." They know that if he actually implements this plan, it's all over for the Palestinians.

🔴🧵As part of the agreement to return the hostages, the Rafah Crossing opened today for the first time since the beginning of May. The full details on the opening of the crossing and the conditions agreed upon between Israel and Hams 👇
According to an Israeli security source, the crossing will only be opened for the EXIT of Gazans - from Gaza out, and NO ENTRY of any party into Gaza.
Inside the crossing is a force on behalf of the European Union, Palestinians who are not Hamas members, and Egyptian workers. All of the workers at the site have been vetted and approved by Shin Bet. Israel will not officially admit this, but the Palestinians who are not Hams - are at least partly identified with Fatah and the Palestinian Authority. Officially, the Palestinian Authority's involvement is only in stamping the crossing permits.

🔴🧵PHASE 2 OF THE HOSTAGE DEAL NEW INFO: An Israeli official involved in the process is hinting that Israel intends to return to fighting in Gaza when the agreement to release the hostages is exhausted. "We are committed to all the goals of the war.
Thanks to our heroic soldiers, we destroyed about 85% of Hams's military capabilities in Gaza and rescued about 2/3 of the hostages. We are committed to returning everyone and destroying all of Hams' capabilities in Gaza. No less," says the senior Israeli official.
His words were addressed to Israel Hayom in response to criticism recently leveled by many in the public, including organizations and individuals who have supported the government so far.

🧵I came across today the story of this horrifying photo. My friend @NoaMagid posted the events leading to this photo in Hebrew, and I want to share with everyone (in case you missed it) one of the horrors of 10/7. Never forget, never forgive. Image
Dozens of terrorists arrived at Kibbutz Hulit, going from house to house and slaughtering people. Adi (the mom of the babies pictured), who heard gunshots, called Anani (the dad), who was outside Hulit, and asked him to remind her how to operate the M16 rifle she had taken out of the safe. After instructing her, she went into the bomb shelter with the children, and since then, they have been in contact. At that time, a terrorist broke into their house, and Anani killed him with a rifle. After him, other terrorists entered, and she protected her children with her body.
Anani said that four-year-old Negev told him that "bad soldiers came and entered the house with drills and drilled the whole house. Mom had a drill, too. They wanted to drill in the basement, and Mom wouldn't let them. She told us to remember that she loved us the most. Then she left."

🧵ALMOST 500 DAYS INTO THE GAZA WAR – DOES HAMS REGRET IT? As the hostage/ceasefire deal in Gaza plays out, there have been many voices commenting on Hams’ apparent “resurrection”. How accurate is this assessment and what does the group really think? Ehud Ya’ari from Channel 12 lays it all out in his commentary this morning 👇
Hams’ supposed recovery is the subject of endless discourse, but one can already detect their regret for the war, which they initiated on 10/7. The most senior surviving military commander in the Gaza Strip - the commander of the Gaza Brigade, Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, lays out a spectacular lie to prove it.
Al-Haddad said that Hams had no choice but to strike a preemptive blow on 10/7 because it had obtained intelligence that Israel was about to invade Gaza in full force immediately after Sukkot. In other words: Deif and Sinwar were not under the influence of a delusion of grandeur but found themselves forced to attack first. Haddad knows that even within Hams no one will believe this lie.

🧵RELEASE OF ISRAELI HOSTAGES – HOW WILL IT WORK? @Doron_Kadosh of IDF Radio published the details on how the release of the Israeli hostages will work from start to finish. Here’s how it’s supposed to happen over the next 42 days 👇
The process starts when the list of hostages to be released are transferred from Hamas to the PM of Qatar about 24 hours before the release. The list is approved by the negotiation team, and the recommendation is forwarded to PM Netanyahu for approval.
After the list is approved, the negotiation team updates the Defense Coordinator, Gal Hirsch. The hostage families are then updated by the Defense Coordinator and the Abductees' Director.
