Imagine claiming you “win” when you’ve got a fraction of the TVL, and most of the TVL and volume is memecoins slaughtering retail.

The point of the L2 thesis is that anyone can launch a trust guaranteed purpose built chain for their use case whether you like it or not.

Not that every L2 will gorge itself on low quality NFTs and shitcoin flipping.

But good maybe we shake out some of the people who don’t care about decentralization or removing middle men, they can chase memes get rinsed and we can get back to building without them complaining all the time 🤷‍♂️Image

Today the DoJ was supposed to send the full Epstein files to Congress.

They didn't.

Instead they released hundreds of redacted pages from Ghislaine Maxwell's filled with lies and more questions.

Here's just the first part as I slog through these documents: Image
2/23

Right off the bat we're told that there was existing conversation prior to going on the record.

While that's not uncommon, it's worth remembering that Todd Blanche is also Trump's former *personal* lawyer and DoJ Deputy, and its *very* odd to have him doing this interview Image

Maxwell claims she met Epstein in 1991, after the death of her father.

The problem is Epstein's business partner Hoffenberg says Robert Maxwell introduced Ghislaine Maxwell to Epstein in the 1980s. Image

The New York Times released a great piece of pictures from Epstein’s home showing Trump, Musk and hidden cameras.

But they missed the most important picture that proves Epstein’s smuggling crimes and fills in a *HUGE* part of the puzzle: Image

This picture right here shows Epstein being very friendly with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, an Emirati businessman.

He holds three important positions:

-Chairman of the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in Dubai.
-Chairman & CEO of DP World.
-Chairman of Branson’s Hyperloop One. Image

Why is any of this relevant?

When Epstein was arrested the first time, they found in his safe two passports, one of which was an Austrian passport.

The passport was authentic, but included a fake name for Epstein and listed his location as “Saudi Arabia” Image

Wait...!

Did Trump mess up here?!

From March - May the DoJ and FBI were redacting Trump's name from the physical Epstein files **before** they briefed him on it.

But, once briefed in May, the TOP priority became to edit and rush out the Epstein video:

Why?

Well...Image
2/8

It's no surprise to anyone in this administration that Trump was associated with Epstein.

So they had no problem removing his name from those files preemptively.

But, none of his current DoJ or FBI senior leadership was the same from his first administration. Image

So had the Trump administration been involved in a cover-up related to Epstein, these current senior leaders wouldn't have known.

They believed the biggest exposure risk was his name in the files...

So like good little foot soldiers they get to work! Image

On Friday, Bloomberg did some great reporting that the DOJ & FBI seem to be *illegally* misusing FOIA exemptions to hide Trump's name in OVER **100,000** pages of the Epstein files.

It gives us new details on the cover-up:Image
2/12

In March, the FBI suddenly moved over 1000 agents from field offices in Washington, and New York field offices, to the Central Records Complex in Virginia for a "temporary assignment" Image

This 256,000 square foot facility holds more than 2 *BILLION* pages of physical records for the FBI - including the Epstein files.

The dense warehouse has so much physical evidence that it uses ceiling robots to move and store the large crates. Image

Insane that we’re here.

Where well intentioned laws get twisted, and turned into privacy nightmares.

But it’s seldom about censorship, and more often simply ignorance that gets us here.

Let’s breakdown why these weird regulations are happening:
2/16

Years ago I worked on helping lobby privacy protecting bills in the EU, Canada and California - and saw first hand what causes this insanity.

It’s not a purposeful ruse or about censorship, it’s about bad policy getting abused.

Most of the time bills that remove privacy are extremely well intentioned.

They are also written by people who are well intentioned, but who are technologically illiterate.

And then they are reshaped by social media lobbyists who are legal-nuance illiterate.
3/16

**The UK Version**

The UK version of the law we’re seeing now is “The Online Safety Act of 2023” which came into full effect July 2025 to give companies time to adjust to the new regulation.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much wrong in one post.

So let’s have a history lesson and tell you all the things wrong with Ben’s post and Trumps claims about being “Scottish Nobility”:
2/24

1. Clan MacLeod is not “Scottish nobility”

They were a significant clan, of regional Galeo-Norse Scots, primarily in the Isle of Skye.

They descended from Leòd/Leòid/Ljótr who was a descendent of Norse royalty but not royal himself. Image
3/24

They claimed nobility through Hebridean ties but not Scottish mainland lineage.

The Chief of the senior branch of the clan would be considered a noble among Scottish chief peers, and so would his family, but the clan had no noble standing at large.
