1. Dr Gautam Allahbadia is a leading IVF doctor in Dubai and Sharjah and an authority in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and IVF. He also has a clinic in Bandra, Mumbai.

2. He started the first same - sex couple pregnancy in India.

He also initiated the first trans - ethnic surrogate pregnancy involving a Chinese couple's baby delivered by an Indian surrogate mother.

3. A sessions court granted anticipatory bail to 3 doctors including Dr. Gautam Allahabadia, in connection with the death of 17-yr-old Sushma Pandey, who died two days after she donated eggs in 2010.

A chargesheet was filed but a committee from JJ Hospital gave them a clean chit

3a. The Judge wanted the police to investigate the matter. In 2013, the committee — comprising Dr G D Niturkar and Dr G S Chavan from the Department of Forensic Medicine and Dr Tushar Palve from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology found no evidence of medical negligence.

3b. A woman named Noor Jahan accompanied the minor to the clinic as her guardian but soon vanished.
