What is Dharma?

Top 10 Characters of Mahabharat that teach us about Dharma.

#10 Dhritrashtra

Distorted/Funny Versions of Ramayana

1. Mappila

Ramayana was popular with both communities (isn't it obvious?). There are several versions of Ramayana but this gives it a humorous (read mocking) tone.

"This is the song the old bearded Saint sang a long time ago, the song that we saw as depicting the Lamayana story. We wait to hear it every monsoon."

All R's converted to L's. Rama becomes Lama & Ramayan becomes Lamayana.

One of the oldest trick in the field of propaganda & disinformation is to lavish praise on the person/thing who you really want to vilify.

This is what #AnimalTheMovie does. It pretends to portray a Hindu Hero who does most despicable things that Hindus absolutely abhor.

1/6 Image He indulges in brutality whch's associated only with 1 cult. He philanders the way cultists indulge in multigamy. He impregnates women just to spread his religion, again a well knwn cultist practice. In shrt, he does everything that Hindus find reprehensible abt the cultists

How movies send messages to the subconscious mind?

Why "what you watch" is so important?

Movies/OTT Series find their way into the silent-most corners of our sub-conscious mind, nudging sleeping emotions into often dangerously awake territories.

Purush: Steady, constant, tough, hard to adapt or change
Stree: Easily Adjustable, caring, flexible and calm

1/5 Hence we refer to nature, Earth, country as a mother.

Also, a girl is considered equivalent to the Lakshmi Maa. She brings prosperity and happiness to the family.

Some days back a Hindu couple performed श्राद्ध of their daughter, who married an M after converting.

They did MORAL GRANDSTANDING to impress the Society.

Ms have a mission/goal to achieve, strategy to achieve it & a constant flow of resources to support their strategy.

1/4 Image As against that, we Hindus, just run around like headless chickens blaming our girls for falling for Ms.

In the immediate terms, what parents should be telling their daughters who've fallen victims of #lovejihaad is something like this:

Love Jihad - Why Hindu girls fall into this trap?

1. Diazepam, Barbiturates, LSD are used to counsel people systematically & brainwash them. Drugs are just being used to bring the brain waves to a desired state. Later a well structured discussion makes them believe in M ways. ImageImage 2. These men in groups. A certain M female friend introduces these men to several Hindu female friends of hers. This builds peer pressure on the H girls.

(In any case, there's a lot of peer pressure these days on school girls/boys to have a partner.) Image

Brahman is all, & the Self is Brahman.

This Self has four states of consciousness.

Which state are you in?

The first is called Vaishvanara/Jagrut, in which
one lives with all the senses turned outward, & aware only of the external world.

(विश्व + नर = Vaishvanara)

1/5 Taijasa (तैजस) is the name of the second,
The dreaming state in which,
the senses turn inwards,
one enacts the impressions
Of past deeds and present desires.

Thank you for the question 🙏🏽. The answer given in the main tweet is incorrect.

Adi Shankaracharya and Shudras:

Here is a beautiful story of Chandala and Adi Shankaracharya in Kashi.

1/ When Adi Shankaracharya was at Ganga in Kashi, a Chandala & his four dogs came in his way. Shankara asked the Chandala to move away from him since Chandalas were considered untouchables & dealt with the disposal of dead bodies.

Shri Krishna never went back to Vrindavan while Nand & Yashoda continued living there.

There are a few incidents mentioned in Puranas when he sent his friend, Uddhav to meet people in Vraj. People of Vraj saw Krishna in Uddhav.

1/5 Another mention in Bhagavat Puran says that Yashoda & Nand went to a holy place in Kurukshetra, where they saw Krishna.

Krishna never went back to meet Yashoda.

Krishna, being Bhagwan himself, was above Maya of this world. He had no mother & no father.

#VivahPanchami thread. Why did Shri Ram marry Mata Sita & what does it signify?

Tulsidas describes it as:

देखि सीय सोभा सुखु पावा। ह्रदयं सराहत बचनु न आवा।।
जनु बिरंचि जब निज निपुनाई। बिरचि बिस्व कहं प्रगटि देखाई।।

1/6 Image It means, seeing Sita, Ram was delighted. He was all praise for her in his heart; but said nothing. Her beauty seemed to him as if Brahma had presented the whole world’s beauty before his eyes.

Sita on the other hand kept praying to Paravati & wished Ram to be her husband.

An Interesting #Thread on today's Gurukuls.

While my ultimate destination was #Badrinath , one of my halts were at Rudraprayag. When I was making my way to Sangam, where Alaknanda meets Mandakini, I was surprised to see a Gurukul here.

1/6 Image This Gurukul has the capacity of 40 children. It not only teaches children free of cost but also gives them accommodation and meals at no charge.

At the moment, it covers the primary section. For further studies, they go to Kashi.

I've been on a pilgrimage to Badrinath. Like everyone else on a pilgrimage, I've had various kinds of experiences: some pleasant, some unpleasant & some behind which one can discern a divine hand. However, something that has struck me the most is the amazing work of Adi Shankaracharya aimed at rejuvenation of Sanatan Dharma & unification of its different traditions.

The pilgrimage begins at the holy city of Rishikesh. There's an ancient 🛕 of Tryambakeshwar i.e of Shivji.

There is an ancient temple in #Kerala, India made famous by thieves.

Four times in recent history, thieves stole the temple idol but returned it as they could not go far with it.

The reasons they gave, makes the story even more intriguing. Image Mridanga Saileswari 🛕 is a temple at Muzhakunnu, Kannur district in the southern state of Kerala.

The 🛕 is among the 108 temples believed to have been established by Sage Parashuram. There is a story behind the temple getting the name “Mridanga Saileswari”.

Let's analyze it together. 2. What do people like you & me do? We do our regular office job, earn, spend time with family, watch TV/OTT/YT for entertainment & have occasional trips.

You might think that we all do the same. What's the difference?
