SANREMO 2025 SONGWRITER DEEP DIVE 🇮🇹🕸️📊
Always a highlight of the Eurovision year, Sanremo is back for the 75th time. And as always, the songs feature many familiar faces from Sanremo past and present. Let's take a closer look at all the connections (a thread 🧵) #sanremo25 Image
Sarah Toscano - Amarcord
"Amarcord" was written with the help of regular writers Federica Abbate and Jacopo Ettorre who previously collabed on "Due" and "Fino a qui", as well as a team of less frequent writers who worked on "No grazie" and "Furore" Image
Serena Brancale - Anema e core
Another Abbate/Ettorre song, this time with Nicola Lazzerin in the mix. Nicola is making a big debut in this years contest, being behind 4 of the original 30 songs. Serena herself competed in the Newcomers section back in 2015 Image
Olly - Balorda nostalgia
Making his second Sanremo appearance, Olly is once again helped by "Polvere"-writer Julien Boverod. In addition we have Pierfrancesco Pasini in the mix, who worked on "Fino a qui" for Alessandra Amoroso last year Image
Fedez - Battito
Fedez makes his second appearance as an artist, helped by Abbate and Lazzarin. In addition Alessandro La Caa, who previously wrote songs like "Diamanti grezzi" and "Insuperabile" helped out Image

Always eclectic, Achille's entry was written with the help of frequent cowriter Gregorio Calculli, as well as Tananai/Annalisa/Geolier-writers Davide Simonetta and Paolo Antonacci Image

The most boring plot of the edition. The song was written solely by Brunori, who hasn't been involved with any previous entries Image
Giorgia - La cura per me
A legend of Sanremo herself, Giorgia has cowritten her song with modern day hitmakers Riccardo "Blanco" Fabbriconi and Michele "Michelangelo" Zocca. A recipe for succes? Image
Shablo feat. Guè, Joshua and Tormento - La mia parola
A big collaboration, but not one with ties to many other entries. Luca Faraone helped write two other songs this year, while Shablo worked on Irama's "Ovunque sarai" and Clementino's "Ragazzi fuori" Image
