An eye popper today that comes about just by the chance of looking 🧵

Liberal Government pays $935K for a $150K paving job🤪

While looking for something else I saw this description and my bullshit radar went off

WTF is “lane rehabilitation” 🤨 Image
I found the contract details which detailed a repave of a 540sq m parking lot, and a 411 meter bike path in Ottawa, for a million bucks??😳

Its not easy to understand what this means so I keep going🧐 Image
And because you can’t hate a woke wasteful Leftist Government enough, they had to do an environmental review, an indigenous consultation, and a public consultation, to repave a parking lot and build a bike path beside a road🙄

Bet this required at least 30 Govt employees🗑️ Image
Here is the detailed work order

- repave a 540sq m parking lot
- make a 411 bike path Image
Here is the parking lot repave - Image

Here is the bike path that was created, with before and after Image

Image
The tender was open bidding and awarded to the lowest bidder.
So who won this wonderful contract?

A company called Green Infrastructure Partners

This gets better stay with me😘 Image
However, after the contract for the lowest price was awarded to Green Infrastructure Partners, 8 different contracts amendments were made, increasing the total cost to $935K ✏️

I’m not going to list all nine but you can find here if interested canadabuys.canada.ca/en/tender-oppo…Image
Green Infrastructure Partners is a subsidiary or related company of waste management company GFL Environmental 🫣 Image
Seems the CEO of GFL Environmental had his home shot up, and said it was a mistake, a mix up, an error, nothing to do with him 🤥 Image
Then when it was reported another GFL executive home was shot up, the CEO said it was another mistake, a mix up, an error, nothing to do with him🤥🤥

What are the odds?!?

These are our Govt contractors Image
So what does it cost to re-pave a 540sq m parking lot and build a 411 meter bike path?

About $150,000🤯 Image
Image
Just one payment, for one contract, for one paving job looks at least 500% higher priced, with contractors who may be suspect.

And just by chance, cause I was looking to shut down BS from MP @Francis_Drouin who suggested the dairy industry doesn’t cost taxpayers /fin

🧵This Brookfield company has 46 renewable energy projects in Canada, some developed in partnership with the Liberal Govt, while Mark Carney was an “advisor” to Prime Minister Trudeau

Is conflict of interest and self enrichment important to anyone? @EthicsCanada @OAG_BVG Image
Here is a few transactions with Govt of Canada while Mark Carney was contracted by the Prime Minister as special economic advisor.

New rules to vote for Liberal leader🧵

Liberals are going to see a large decline in expected voters, at least by actual Canadians.

Liberals still left the door open for foreign interference (aka China) to get their desired candidate (Carney) Image
Everyone wanting to vote must confirm they are a Canadian of some fashion and they live in Canada more than half the year. Not sure how they will confirm that, other than pinky swear🤪 Image
The major update is how to confirm you are eligible to vote.

They give two options
1. Use the Canada post App
2. Go to Canada post in person Image

People say we need a DOGE style investigation on CDN Government spending

If I was given that gig I would start here;
$52 Billion in various forms of 'foreign aid' over 5 years

Its in this thread
Then I would look inside here, which might cross into the foreign aid file

$1.5 Trillion given to charities over 9 years
Then this ;

The amount we spend on refugees who aren't even in Canada.

$2.6Billion a year on people who haven't yet decided if they are going to come to Canada.

Doctors, dentists, food, clothes, shelter, etc, all while in their own country

Got asked how to follow Govt reports - its easy, and how I start most every day, with loads of frustration🤣

These reports lead to so much digging - here's where to find em👇
Govt has loads of Committee's to study all kinds of things - when you sign up for Committee reports they will generally send links on one email almost every day

- Notice of Meetings - this is where you can see who and when
- Committee Evidence - its a written record of everything said during the meeting
- Committee Minutes - its a basic summary of events
- Committee Reports - these are the summaries of all their work into a single report and generally the juicy load of crap that raises many questions for you to look into

Subscribe to Committee info here - ourcommons.ca/cmte-subscript…
As you may know I think Canada's Senate @SenateCA is a complete waste of time and money.
It must be an elected office that has a ballot every election, not a friggin lifetime post of irrelevance.

Senators must be held accountable for their complete and utter insignificant role in Democracy. For a hundred years they are useless

Senate has Committees just like Parliament, and are more/less the same structure, but useless

Almost 100% of my "work" was from publicly available info and below share places to look for Govt info

1. Global Affairs publishes what it gives away and to whom on this page - its a bit sketch but you'll figure it out
w05.international.gc.ca/projectbrowser…Image
The search result will provide links to the details of the specific effort that came up in the search Image
Global Affairs Dev Dashboard is a little more general, and a lot more graphic when you want more general info

When I am Prime Minister -

Three 🧵’s to reduce Canada’s spending by at least $100Billion year, with almost zero impact on Canada

Reducing spending $100Billion means we can reduce individual taxation by about 20% per year

Imagine getting a 20% raise in take home pay Image
1. Charities - Canada gives away almost $290 Billion each year to charities

Surely some are worth supporting but its double what is was in 2015

Audit charitable donations and cut to $150B/year
Save $140 Billion/year - easy
2. Foreign donations

Canada gives away at least $10 Billion every year, and much of it is to despots and war lords. We gave North Korea, Iran, Syria, and China money FFS

Gonna reduce that by half - no problem
Save $5 Billion a year
