This is a special message that the Lord actually gave me earlier this morning but had me to wait to send it out until this afternoon at this specific time (at 3:16 PM CST on 3-16-25). It is a short message based on a very familiar passage of scripture that talks about God’s love
(the same love that He calls for us to have).
Our world is being torn apart today because of the prominence of hatred being displayed all around us (even by people who self-identify as Christians). This response (hate) is the opposite of how the Lord calls us to respond.
And ultimately it leads to death and destruction (the desire of Satan, our enemy). But God’s love leads to eternal life. The choice is ours today of how we choose to respond based on what we believe.
Now, here’s that special scripture verse delivered at this specific time:
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. – John 3:16-17
God bless and keep us all. This world needs Jesus.

We Are Ministers of the New Covenant in a World that So Desperately Needs to Know
At the end of verse 16 below, God seems to be giving us a challenge… This morning, He assured me that He Himself is indeed adequate and faithful to keep us on His path. Even though our enemy is persistent in his attacks to get us off of the path (he is also powerless to distract
us unless we allow him). But God… He is all-powerful and faithful to keep us, never gives up on us, and always comes along side and gently reminds us when we stray.
He sees everything that is happening and our lives are a sweet aroma offering unto Him. Our lives are also a

Words that are Much More than Mere Words
This morning, this was the theme with which the LORD gently nudged me out of my slumber. He coupled it with some of my own life examples and then pointed me to this section of scripture below.
From my personal life, for a couple of years now I have been pouring into my middle
son the concept that the words that we say are good, but they simply can’t compare with the things that we do. Our actions demonstrate what we truly believe and what is in our hearts.
Next, for the past almost two decades since my spiritual awakening, I have always prayed before

Running On Empty – Another Counter-intuitive Blessing
Earlier this week we looked at the beatitudes and noted how through them Jesus taught the people that God’s true blessings for His people come from very surprising places that we would never imagine. This morning He woke me up with this theme of running on empty and sent me on a
quest through the bible to connect the dots and add this to the theme of these messages.
I found the example later in Matthew 16 when Jesus gently admonished Peter telling him that he needed to “empty” himself. It’s easy to look at verse 23 as a sharp rebuke when just looking at

The LORD is with and Fights for Us – Seriously?
Today’s verse is from another one of the most well-known scenes in the bible. It takes place immediately before the LORD parted the Red Sea and rescued Israel while defeating her enemy. These five verses zoom in and show a close look at just what was going on in the camp of the
Israelites during this critical moment. It is clearly a picture of pandemonium, panic and hopelessness. The question for today’s devotional is this:
“How much evidence of God’s presence and power is sufficient to calm and reassure God’s people?”

The Interplay of the Beatitudes – The Key to Heaven – To Lead or Be Led
When Jesus gave His famous Sermon on the Mount, it was revolutionary to His listeners. The beatitudes were counter-intuitive to our nature and seemed to not make any sense at all. In every line they are the opposite of what we would expect.
We are blessed when we are poor?
When mourning loss or hungry we are blessed? Really?
Yes, there is a very important key interplay between each one of these beatitudes that relates to us having a need AND also the understanding that we have that need. When we fully understand the presence of this need and

Making a Way – More on God’s Promises
In my last devotional message, we looked at God’s words through Isaiah that talked about His identity and promises while commanding us to not be afraid. I left out two verses from that section that dealt with our adversaries or things that opposed us. Today we will look at some
other words that He says through Isaiah where He again makes promises that deal with those problems that oppose us. Please take note of the way that He uses the past (what He had already done in a very famous event) as a reminder of what He had already done and an indicator
