The most inhumane thing you can do is force r@ped women to have men in their presence. I didn’t think anyone would dream of punching down on women in a shelter. I was wrong.
And it just happened again. 1/
That last one was in Canada. This one is in Edinburgh. From The Times comes a story of councillors considering cuts to a domestic abuse shelter bc it is for women only.
The councillors are considering punishing the women bc they are daring to say no to men. 2/
The shelter in the first post in this thread also lost funding. What kind of civil rights movement strips shelter women of funding???
This is punching as low as you can go. Unless they go after neonatal units. I can’t think of anything worse. 3/
Both of these shelters are run exclusively by women and for exclusively women who have been r@ped and battered. And activists have decided to threaten women at Edinburgh Legal Aid.
I have no words. I’m speechless.

The conversation of the day on X. It’s very interesting. I am Never Leaving this App. A thread.
It starts here. This seems like a very sensible, middle of the road, what should be obvious position. Very neutral.

Suddenly this person jumps in. I don’t think that looks have anything to do with this argument, but let me just say that profile picture is incredibly heavily edited. JK is not playing around here. 2/
He comes back and tries to manipulate the conversation. Then lays a down a heavy layer of guilt. JK swings it right back around to the issue. She won’t be tricked. 3/
Why is reach down so much for everyone? What is going on?????
I did some deep dives with grok and here is what I found out.
New algorithm rules per Grok:
Likes can penalize your reach. 1/
Replying to people too often can penalize your reach. 2/
Saying Thank You as a reply can penalize your reach. The algorithm sees it as having no value to say that to a person and let them know you appreciate them. 3/
A new study is out and it shows that after medical intervention things get worse, not better. Which is what we’ve been saying all along. This “gender affirming care” is worse than snake oil. It’s damaging.
