The BBC has been obsessed with drag for a few years now but the amount of videos BBC News has made about 'drag queen children' or vulnerable adults doing drag is truly disturbing. Here's one from 2019 about an 11-year-old boy who dances for money from adults in gay bars🧵1/9

In 2019, when the public face of BBC News was convicted paedophile Huw Edwards, it produced this film that argues for young children to be exposed more to drag queens 6/9

BBC York described this 12 year old boy as a "totally and utterly incredible human being" simply because he does drag 7/9

There have also been numerous BBC News videos about young people with disabilities, typically Down's syndrome, who 'perform' as drag queens. There have additionally been feature videos on one drag queen with cystic fibrosis, one with dyspraxia and one with diabetes 8/9

This thread is only about drag, not 'trans children', which BBC News has probably covered far more. For example, The Victoria Derbyshire programme alone ran at least three features like this about children aged six to nine 9/9
