We Don’t Fear Death - Paul’s Reminder of Our Hope
On the heals of my recent trip to Dallas for a medical appointment and while I wait to get the results, these are words that the Lord placed in my spirit yesterday. They are a reminder for all of us that we don’t have to fear death because it has been defeated. As we prepare to
celebrate Resurrection Sunday in a few weeks, as believers we have a living hope that the world simply can’t understand. That’s why we can praise Him in advance, even when we don’t understand or when it doesn’t feel good. God’s not done.
Glory!!
The Comfort of Christ’s Coming
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of
God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
– 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

As I woke up this morning after a very long (31-day) March, this is the settling thought that the Lord placed on my spirit. Because of what He has already done and in spite of what rages around us, we ARE in His sanctuary. And in spite of where many of us are going to get up and
go to in a few hours, that sanctuary is not a building. It goes with us everywhere we go. So as I awoke, the Lord gave me (and reinforced) a verse and a song for today as follows:
8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not
driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. 11 Yes, we live under constant

Good & Evil / Power in Weakness
Last night was a great evening of communion and teaching spent with the Lord. Once again He connected many dots for me with things that are going on all around me (indeed all of us) today. In the past two days He allowed me to go through struggles (remember and hold on to this
concept) and thoughts and had me to write about Good and Evil followed by Power or Control and Weakness. Last night He connected dots and showed me a bigger picture.
Believe it or not, this night started out with the Old Testament book of Job. It has for a long time been one of
This is the word on my heart this morning as a reminder. It is a theme that has been coming up recently in my bible studies and discussions. As followers and imitators of Jesus, there is TREMENDOUS power in us through our weakness. More specifically, the way to power is through
humility. God our Father always reacts and responds in an undeniable way when any of us humble ourselves. The bible is filled with so very many examples of it and there are examples of it being played out even still today (trust me, I am telling you what I know with certainty,

The Power of Our Prayers to Bless Exceedingly or to Delay Needlessly
The Power of Our Prayers to Bless Exceedingly or to Delay Needlessly
This morning the LORD woke me up with yet another burden for a word about prayer along with a few examples to illustrate the theme of this devotional. You see, there is indeed great power in your prayers and in
mine. But the sad truth is that we leave most of that power on the table unused at best, or at worst discarded as unwanted rubbish. You ask “How can this be?” Read on to see how along with some vivid examples from the bible along with some from right now today as we pray.
These last words of advice from Paul to Timothy speak to all of us today about living a Godly life during times of uncertainty or instability (Paul was in prison and soon to be killed). Notice how the first thing that Paul addresses here is what it means to be a bondservant (of
Jesus like he was). He talks about serving others and honoring our masters so that the image of the living God not be tarnished by the way we respond to our masters. In verse 2 he points out that these instructions are not just for masters who are Christians but also for those

What We Focus On Today Is Important
It is important because when properly directed, it shows us where true value and treasure is located. It points us to His place of rest and glory where He beckons us to come and join Him. It is important because it can be our incredible source of personal blessing and joy.
Finally it is important because when properly directed it can result in many others around us being blessed as well (see verse 4).
As children of God, where we place our focus is the heavenly key.
