Last night I hosted a Reading Party with @getsmartabout.
If you're introverted, it's a great way to meet new people and discover awesome books.
Here's how it works (and how you can host your own reading party):
-Pick a weekday evening like Wednesday at 7pm
-Invite people and tell them it's a BYOB event (Bring Your Own Book)
-Have everyone read their book for 30 minutes
-Then split people into breakout groups of 3-4 people
-Within the groups each person shares what their book is about and a lesson they learned
-Then get everyone together and spend the last 30 minutes having each person share with everyone one lesson they learned from their book or from someone else's book
Feel free to use these tips to host your own reading party.
PS: If you'd like to join our next Reading Party in New York City, comment "NYC" below!
