Breaking: I've uncovered that Columbia's Mohsen Mahdawi served as the "coordinator" for Fatah’s Student Movement at Birzeit University.

The group glorifies mass murderers, urges students to become "martyrs," has members who ARE terrorists, and hosts terror parades on campus🧵 Image
The other day, the NYT offered a glowing portrayal of Columbia University's Mohsen Mahdawi, whom they bizarrely portray as a lifelong advocate for peace.

In doing so, they unintentionally helped me find previously unreported facts that show who Mohsen really is. Image
But first, let's look at some other nuggets the NYT gave us:

This seems to be the first time it's been reported that Mahdawi’s best friend was killed while throwing stones at IDF soldiers.

That’s a far cry from how he told the story in past appearances, like on @60Minutes Image
Stone throwing is extremely dangerous and has taken the lives of many Israelis.

If you're throwing stones, you may well be shot—and for good reason.

The NYT might call sneaking through the security fence into Israel romantic. I'd say it's illegal. Image
The NYT writers note that Mohsen glorifies Dalal Mughrabi, but fail to mention she took part in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre, killing 38 Israelis, including 13 kids.

They also incorrectly suggest he wrote the poem, whereas he simply expressed support for it (still vile) Image
Image
They also can't even get their facts straight. Nobody accused Mohsen's cousin of being Hamas.

Rather, he was a member of the US-designated terror group the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (Fatah's armed wing). And Mohsen adored him.

🚨BUT HERE'S THE MOST NOTABLE PART🚨

The NYT helped me figure out that circa 2013 (at the very least), Mohsen was the coordinator of Fatah's Shabiba ("Youth") student movement at Birzeit University.

So what do we know about Fatah's student wing?

Image
This is them. Image

And this is them too:

web.archive.org/web/2025041807…Image
And this is their Facebook page.

The person that Fatah's student group is glorifying here is senior Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist Zakaria Zubeidi Image
Around the period when Mohsen served as the Fatah student movement's coordinator, the group glorified the aforementioned mass murderer Dalal Mughrabi Image
This isn't the only time the group posted support for Mughrabi around the time Mohsen was its coordinator. Image
The group has also encouraged students to become "martyrs"—clearly referring to terrorists, based on the images included in their statements.

palwatch.org/page/6664
According to @terrorisminfo, Fatah's Shabiba Student Movement has had members who were ALSO members of the US-designated Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. Image
Fatah's Shabiba Student Movement isn't a student movement in the Western sense.

It's an entity that explicitly endorses, promotes, and calls for terrorism.

Here's a terrorist parade it held at Birzeit—Mohsen's alma mater—in 2018.
Ask yourselves: Should someone who served as the "coordinator" of this group be allowed in the U.S. or given American citizenship? Image

Please also amplify @mishtal's amazing thread with even more info!

Clarification: Mohsen DID write the poem about mass murderer Dalal Mughrabi. I missed this in the beginning — thanks @kweansmom for flagging Image
Bonus: Mohsen Mahdawi's admiration for Dalal Mughrabi clearly carried over to Columbia SJP.

How do Islamists like Mohsen Mahdawi, Mahmoud Khalil, and even Mehdi Hasan infiltrate institutions, manipulate media, and win sympathy in the West?

Simple: Through a set of Islamic doctrines that explicitly permit deception—as long as it serves the cause

Let's break some down🧵 Image
🔸 Taqiyya: Originally developed for Shi’a Muslims under persecution, taqiyya allows someone to lie about their beliefs or intentions if telling the truth would cause danger.
Radical Islamists have weaponized this to publicly pose as moderates, while secretly supporting extremism
🔸 Kitmān: While taqiyya is about active deception, kitmān is about strategic silence. It’s the calculated omission of information to mask radical beliefs, allowing Islamists to blend into institutions, avoid detection, and operate freely

Qatar's Campaign to Influence America: A Brief Intro 🧵

As @DouglasKMurray rightly points out, while critics obsess over Israel, it's Qatar that’s spent billions quietly shaping the US—across lobbying, media, universities, and more.

More funded. More opaque. Less talked about.
1. Lobbying & FARA Compliance

🔸️ Qatar spent $250M+ on lobbying since 2017, hiring 35+ firms, many under FARA.

🔸️ In 2017–18 alone: $19.5M to rehab its image during the Gulf Crisis.

🔸️ DOJ ordered AJ+ to register as a foreign agent. Qatar refused.

🔸️ Israel’s gov doesn’t lobby through FARA. AIPAC spent $3.3M in 2024—all legal & disclosed.
2. University & Academic Funding

🔸️ Qatar is the #1 foreign donor to U.S. universities: $4.7B–$6B+ since 2001.

🔸️ Texas A&M: $404M, Georgetown: $450M+, Carnegie Mellon: $100M+.

🔸️ Israel’s government? $0. No records of direct university donations.

For those wondering, the Director of Gaza's Al-Ahli Hospital, Dr. Fadel Naim (@fnaim65) is Hamas through and through.

Let's break down the evidence 🧵 Image
According to @JoeTruzman, Dr. Fadel Naim (second from right) is the brother of Basem Naim (second from left), a senior Hamas official sanctioned by the U.S.

He has served as Hamas's Minister of Health and is currently Deputy Head of the group’s Arab and Islamic Relations Office. Image
Fadel’s son, Anas Fadel Naim, was a Hamas fighter killed by the IDF in a 2009 airstrike.

Fadel's nephew, Naim Basem Naim (son of Basem Naim), was also a Hamas fighter, killed in combat with the IDF in 2003.

Update on Hamas Lawsuit Against the UK:

A new website has been launched presenting legal arguments from various so-called scholars, experts, and professors, all pushing to overturn Hamas’ terror designation.

But hilariously, some of the contributors are terrorists themselves🧵Image
Two of the submissions are from Sami Al-Arian, a convicted Islamic Johad financier who was deported to Turkey from the US Image
Image
Another is from Charlotte Kates, one of the heads of Samidoun, which has been designated as a terror group by the US, Canada, Germany, and Israel Image

Meet Hamas' UK Lawyers: Fahad Ansari and Frank Magennis.

The third lawyer, Daniel Grutters, doesn't have an X account.

So let's dive in 🧵 Image
Let's start with Fahad. Image
Fahad has shown some serious love for October 7th.

He's also describing Israel as engaging in "genocide" since October 9th, weeks before the IDF even entered Gaza.

My God, the bodies of the people slaughtered in the Kibbutzim were practically still warm. Image

🚨Breaking: Hamas Launches Legal Challenge Demanding UK Remove its Terror Designation🚨

The 106-page legal application claimed that the 2021 decision "pursued explicitly political objectives by a politically compromised Secretary of State."

Hamas' UK-based lawyers include:

Fahad Ansari, the director of Riverway Law, which is leading the challenge; Daniel Grutters, a barrister at One Pump Court Chambers and Frank Magennis, a barrister at Garden Court Chambers.

What do we think the British courts will rule?Image
So, who's funding the lawsuit? After all, the lawyers claim they were not "paid by Hamas," but that's different than "not being paid at all."

One clue points to an unsurprising source: Qatar Image
See, the UK-based Middle East Eye (MEE)—reportedly a Qatari-funded psyop—was the first to publish news about the lawsuit, which it claimed was an "Exclusive." Image
