A Project 2025 author recently said its implementation is going “way beyond my wildest dreams.”

Their governing document is now a reality.

8 things Trump’s done 🧵🎥👇🏼
1. They hired the authors of Project 2025.

They’ve been placed in senior roles across the government – from the FCC to Office of Management and Budget.
2. Reproductive freedom.

Project 2025 included an executive order to ban any taxpayer funding for reproductive healthcare. Trump issued that exact order.
3. Dismantling the Department of Education.

Project 2025 called for it. Trump is doing it.
4. Head Start and child care.

Project 2025 calls for the elimination of Head Start which provides early childhood education for millions of children.

One of the first things Trump and Musk did after Inauguration Day was freeze billions of dollars — including funding for Head Start. Some programs still can’t access their money.
5. Social Security.

They want to raise the retirement age and start cutting it and privatizing it.

Congressional Republicans are working on a budget right now that would pursue those cuts – shutting down field offices and laying off thousands of staff.
6. Medicaid.

Project 2025 calls for them to strip away coverage from 90 million people – 38,000 in SW Ohio.

Their budget includes nearly $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts – impacting states, doctors, hospitals, and children.

People will lose coverage. People will die.
7. SNAP – a federal program that provides healthy food for tens of millions of Americans.

Project 2025 calls for cuts, so does the Republican budget. The latest budget calls for over $200 billion cuts in food assistance for tens of millions of Americans.
8. Prescription drug prices.

Project 2025 ends Medicare’s ability to negotiate lower prices. Trump’s executive order already started that. Drug prices are going to go up for millions of seniors.
They’re nearly halfway through Project 2025.

One of the authors said, “Trump is seizing every minute of every hour” to implement this.
The only way to stop this is for a few congressional Republicans to join us and then we will end this.

Keep advocating. Keep making noise. Keep reaching out. Keep calling. Keep doing all of the work you are doing. 🙏🏼💙

The Social Security Administration sent this email out to 90 million seniors.

It claimed their big bill had eliminated the taxes on Social Security benefits.

That’s not true. 🧵👇🏼
1. They did not eliminate taxes on Social Security.

What they did was create a temporary tax deduction for some working seniors.
2. It only applies to a small group of people—

Those who are working and earning between $80,000 and $130,000 will benefit the most.

Also – it only lasts two years.

People are incredibly frustrated, and want to know what we’re doing to meet this moment and fix what Trump is breaking.

Here’s my plan. America needs a new governing document – and a new entity to meet this moment.

🧵👇🏼
America’s unaffordable, people don’t feel safe, the government doesn’t work for those who need it most, and our democracy is under attack.

I put together a framework to fix it.
Number 1:

A new governing document: A Pledge to America

We need a new governing document that explains to the American people how we're going to fix the economy, how we're going to keep people safe, how we're going to fix democracy, the government, everything.

Here’s how…

The situation in Gaza is bad and the humanitarian crisis must end.

Five really important things to know that I believe will help end this crisis. 🧵📽️👇🏼
1. It’s a very good thing that the Netanyahu government is surging aid — something I’ve personally pushed the Prime Minister on many times.
They set up new distribution centers (to go around Hamas) and, while it’s worked to some extent, it’s not enough.

So, Saturday’s decision to send even more aid in was the right one — and a strengthened partnership with the World Food Programme should help significantly.

🚨 We just filed more than a dozen amendments to this terrible budget bill.

If the bill passes, millions of Americans will lose healthcare and food assistance.

People will die.

Here are some of our amendments (all should be easy enough to support) 🧵👇🏼
1. Stops Medicaid funding cuts if they would hurt children’s hospitals.
2. Prevents Medicaid changes that would damage rural hospitals.

The news yesterday was insane. So much happened.

But what didn’t really get covered was one of the cruelest bills to ever pass the House.

6 ways that this bill will hurt, if not kill, children and families. 🧵🎥👇🏼
It makes permanent about $10 billion in DOGE cuts.

These are cuts that Elon Musk, Donald Trump and others in the administration, the billionaires, want.

This bill is a legitimate example of how billionaires are running the government. The world's richest people are going after the country’s and the world’s poorest children.
1. The bill slashes $4.15 billion in humanitarian programs for children.

Globally, this means that 40 million children will no longer have school.

Hunger will spread and at least 3.6 million children will go without clean water.

Trump’s terrible budget is now in the Senate.

5 things you need to know. 🧵📽️👇🏼
1. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (@USCBO) has issued a new report, and it’s not great.

It says 16 million Americans will lose their healthcare and the bill will add $2.4 trillion to the debt.
2. You’re going to hear the word reconciliation.

Reconciliation is essentially a budget. Except you don’t need 60 votes in the Senate for it to pass– you only need 51.

There is a catch….
