This is the greatest social experiment ever conducted:

He created a fake restaurant on TripAdvisor.

No food. No staff. No venue.

Yet it became the #1 ranked restaurant in London...

Here's how he pulled it off: Image
Meet Oobah Butler, a Vice Magazine writer from South London.

His side hustle? Getting £10 for fake restaurant reviews.

But after watching restaurants gain traction from his fake reviews, he had a genius idea...

Butler hatched a plan to create a completely fake restaurant:
He wanted to test how easily the internet could be fooled.

His goal was to make London's #1 ranking restaurant out of nothing—except completely fabricated hype and exclusivity.

But first, he needed a convincing profile...
So he set up his restaurant on TripAdvisor:

• Bought a £10 burner phone as the "official line"
• Named it "The Shed at Dulwich" (literally his home)
• Listed it as "appointment only" with a vague address

Then came the most creative part of his deception...
Without actual food, Butler got creative:

• He added mood lighting
• Used his foot to mimic "meat"
• Added shaving foam as whipped topping to dishes

The results looked strangely convincing.

But the menu is where his real genius emerged:
Instead of actual dishes, everything was named after emotions.

"Comfort", "Lust", "Empathy".

This made it seem innovative and modern rather than fake— a great way to show some uniqueness while covering his tracks.

"The Shed" was coming to life, but there was one more job:
For months, he had friends write fake reviews.

Each review had to mention eating outside, reinforce the appointment-only policy, and emphasize how small and exclusive it felt.

And somehow, TripAdvisor never caught on.

But then something wild happened:
As reviews piled up, The Shed climbed the rankings.

After 6 months, it reached the top 1,500 of 18,000 restaurants.

But it quickly hit the top 300, and the phone wouldn't stop ringing with reservation requests...

And his attempt to handle the demand only made things worse:
Butler told everyone, "We're fully booked for six weeks."

But this created a frenzy. People loved the exclusivity.

Food suppliers sent him free samples, and the media begged for reviews.

He was London's hottest secret.

Within 6 months, something unbelievable happened:
The Shed reached #1 on TripAdvisor.

Butler's garden shed—with no staff, food, or customers—outranked 18,000 real restaurants.

The world had lost its mind.

But the prank was about to get even wilder:
Feeling the pressure, Butler hosted one dinner party.

He invited 10 persistent guests.

The menu? Supermarket microwave meals with garden garnishes.

The venue? His backyard shed, decorated with fairy lights.

As guests arrived expecting luxury, Butler's nerves built...
Surprisingly, they loved it.

Some claimed they tasted subtle flavors in the microwave meals.

No one suspected they were eating budget frozen food in a garden shed.

Perception became reality.

The aftermath? Equally fascinating:
In December 2017, Butler revealed the hoax in Vice.

TripAdvisor removed the listing and claimed their system "usually" works.

But he'd proven how easily digital trust can be manipulated when we crave exclusivity and validation.

This reveals something profound:
What makes Butler's experiment fascinating isn't just fooling TripAdvisor.

He understood the importance of perception and branding. And perception is the most powerful force for today's most successful entrepreneurs.

But only a few leverage it to its full potential:
Though Butler's restaurant was fiction, some results were real—media attention, demand, and recognition.

And when you make your brand as important as your product, this will happen for too...

Your thoughts become sought-after. Your companies gain trust.

Let me explain:
Today's most powerful brands are personal brands. They're what control perception above everything else.

Elon Musk, not Tesla. MrBeast Burger, not Burger King.

Logan Paul & Prime—not Coca Cola or Pepsi.

Why?
Because they could sell anything, and people will always buy from them because of their personal brand.

They built trust with millions at once. They're PERCEIVED as familiar.

Because when you showcase yourself & intentionally shape people's perception of you:
Every aspect of business becomes 10x easier.

You automatically attract talent and investors who align with what you stand for.

You build trust with an audience who will listen to your voice over others.

So:

The Canadian government was trying to hide something TERRIFYING.

One psychologist spotted their evil plan.

What he found was so disturbing, he risked everything to speak out.

Here's how Jordan Peterson brought the Canadian government to its knees: Image
Before 2016, Jordan Peterson was a psychology professor at Toronto University, Canada.

He also maintained a clinical psychology practice, helping up to 20 clients a week.

But after 18 years of delivering lectures, he wasn't afraid to explore the darker aspects of the mind:
A large part of Peterson's work was exploring control.

He noticed that small restrictions become more invasive as people get used to them over time.

Eventually, an entire society could be dictated by a select few.

Then, the government did something that terrified Peterson:

In 2010, Dana White accidentally tweeted his phone number to millions of fans.

His phone EXPLODED with calls from fans.

His team panicked...

Until ONE woman saw a multi-million-dollar opportunity.

Here's how one epic mistake changed social media forever: Image
In 1979, Amy Jo Martin was born in the small town of Green River, Wyoming.

In 2006, she joined Arizona's basketball team, the Phoenix Suns, as Director of Digital Media.

Twitter had 7K users then, and brands saw social media as pointless updates.

Martin saw it differently...
She wondered, "What if professional athletes could speak directly to fans?"

She wanted athletes to communicate without a PR team filtering their words and without media gatekeepers controlling the narrative.

Just authentic connection. And the timing couldn't have been better:

This is Howard Lutnick:

Trump's Commerce Secretary leading manufacturing talks with Taiwan.

In 1996, he built a trading platform that processes $400B PER DAY.

Now, his master plan will end America's dependence on Asia.

Here's why Trump REALLY picked Lutnick for Commerce Sec: Image
Howard Lutnick's path to becoming a key figure in tech policy was anything but conventional.

After losing his parents at a young age, he went from a struggling college student to a Wall Street prodigy.

And adversity became his greatest teacher:
When 9/11 claimed the lives of 658 of his fellow employees at Cantor Fitzgerald, Lutnick faced a challenging decision.

Most expected the firm to fold. Instead, he rebuilt from the ashes while caring for the victims' families.

This taught him something few understand about tech:

The entire VC industry is a filthy ponzi scheme.

And Chamath is burning their playbook to the ground.

He's profiting on founders' successes, not high fees like traditional VCs.

Here's how Chamath's $6B war chest is reshaping Silicon Valley: Image
Chamath was an early Facebook executive who helped grow the platform to 1 billion users.

After amassing his fortune in Silicon Valley, he founded Social Capital in 2011 to reinvent how startups get funded.

And his unconventional views have built him a reputation...
Chamath is both celebrated and criticized for his challenges to Silicon Valley's status quo.

When most VCs were chasing unicorns, he questioned whether the entire model served founders or just enriched investors.

And his thinking is backed up by data...

This is Chamath:

The billionaire investor who scaled Facebook to 1B+ users.

In his viral interview with Andrew Schulz, he just exposed how global trade is rigged against America's middle class.

Here's the harsh truth the media doesn't want Americans to know: Image
In 2000, the US pushed China to become more capitalist.

China was then welcomed into the World Trade Organization.

This evolution allowed companies to make products cheaper in China than in America.

But the consequences went far deeper than anyone expected...
Instead of paying American workers $25/hour to make Nikes, companies could make them in China for much less.

Apply this across every industry, from shoes to iPhones, and one consequence becomes clear:

America's middle-class workers no longer have jobs.

And most shocking:

This is Scott Bessent:

Trump's Treasury Secretary leading tariff talks with 70+ countries.

In 1992, he DESTROYED the Bank of England with George Soros.

Now, his $600B gamble will completely transform global trade.

Here's why Trump REALLY picked Bessent as Treasury Sec: Image
Before joining Trump's team, Scott Bessent made a name for himself by working with George Soros.

Soros was famous for making billions by predicting market crashes and currency collapses.

In 1992, Bessent and Soros bet against the British pound and made $1B+ in one night.

How?
They speculated Britain was inflating the pound's value by buying its own currency with foreign money.

When Britain eventually ran out of money, the pound dropped 15%.

Bessent became famous for seeing what others had missed.

Then he made another move...
