Pakistan is the country of terrorists. There have been multiple terrorist attacks on or near Pakistani facilities associated with its nuclear weapons program, but there is no confirmed case of a terrorist group successfully capturing or seizing a nuclear warhead.
There have been terrorist attacks on the Sargodha nuclear missile storage facility (2007), Kamra Airbase (2007, 2009, 2012), and Wah cantonment (2008), all of which are linked to Pakistan’s nuclear infrastructure.
The 2008 Wah cantonment attack was significant, as it targeted a major nuclear weapons assembly site, raising concerns about terrorist intent to seize nuclear components.
In these and other cases, terrorists breached security perimeters, sometimes using disguises and coordinated assaults, but did not reach or capture actual nuclear warheads.
There was a serious incident involving Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood, a former senior Pakistani nuclear scientist, who met with Osama bin Laden and Taliban leaders in 2001.
Mahmood, who was later placed on the UN sanctions list, discussed nuclear technology and weaponization with al-Qaeda operatives and reportedly provided them with technical insights about nuclear infrastructure and effects.
US has repeatedly raised concerns about the security & protection of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal. Since 2001, the US has provided significant assistance-nearly $100 million-in the form of equipment, training, & technology to help Pakistan secure its nuclear warheads & facilities.
US officials have openly discussed the risk of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons falling into the wrong hands, especially amid concerns about internal instability and terrorist infiltration.
Now Indian leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, have publicly called Pakistan an "irresponsible and rogue nation," questioning whether its nuclear weapons are safe and urging that they be placed under international supervision by the IAEA
The recent incident in kirana hills proves that Pakistan is not capable of protecting their nuclear facilities.
This will lead either giving up their nuclear protection to USA or changing their number policy. In either cases it will lead making Pakistan a nuclear free state 😅
