And in the new election, though the Candidate from the Conservative party was far ahead in most polls and in the first round of voting, he lost in the second vote to a candidate favored by the EU that used a lot of money and

Am I the only one a bit skeptical about this story?
The Nation is Romania. I would like to hear from Romanians, in English or their own language. What happened???"

ACCORDING TO GBNEWS ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALISTS
1)
The winner of the popular vote in almost every member nation, especially from the UK, by an enormous majority of votes, was the Israeli Song by Yuval Rafael.
2)
They speculated that the Organizers decided to have Austria as the winner, regardless of the popular vote, and regardless of the quality of the music, for political reasons.

I preface my comments with a statement: I believe very strongly in the right of Jews to live anywhere that Jews choose to live in the ancient Jewish Homeland, ERETZ YISRAEL, promised by HaShem in Torah, recognized world wide in the traditions of other peoples,

By the time the rabbis of the Mishnah (a body of Jewish legal text compiled around the year 200 C.E.) dealt with the concept of herem....
1)
the word had transformed to more closely refer to excommunication, also known as niddui. During the seven-day period of niddui, the person being punished was required to observe the customs of mourning (not shaving, bathing, or wearing shoes, for example), and

no one was allowed to be in this person’s presence. Herem was a stricter form of niddui and could last an indefinite amount of time.
Herem required the Jewish community to cut off all ties to the person being excommunicated, and

This parsha has a lot to say about the qualifications for a Cohan to serve in that role in the Mishkan (Tabernacle) or the Temple and about the things that would disqualify a sacrifice from use.

You can read all about it yourself as it is fairly self-explanatory and as such really does not interest me right now.
The second part of the Parsha is essentially a list of holidays - good to be reminded, but lists don’t really make me think all that deeply.
