The Real Reason Why They Cancelled Josh Buice: First Draft
1) A February 22, 2025 post by Scott Aniol (blanks are where Josh Buice's burner @wikipreacher replied)
2) Since @wikipreacher's tweets are currently protected (and later be deleted), my interns culled the tweets from the account and in no particular order, you can insert which reply seems suitable in context.
Ok, this one needs some explaining:
After WikiPreacher (Josh) criticises both Scott, and replies to Kate Joyner, he switches to public alter,
"Josh Buice" to join in the conversation and defend Scott, telling himself Dearest Reader to...
"Move Along".
Why, Georgia Why: The Denouement.
Finally, WikiPreacher contends that he was hounded by fanboys of Aniol after that exchange.
***Josh Buice is the fanboy. He is talking about himself.
So, thoughts? If Dylan Joyner is an elder at Pray's Mill than I didn't see any criticism of him, but just Dylan encouraging "WikiPreacher" to speak with Scott about any concerns he might have had.
Guys, this is honestly the worst that I found. This is
what ultimately got Josh Buice cancelled.
It was probably inevitable, but they're portraying it as if he "slandered", spread strife, spoke with extreme bad intent to take down "great men of God".
None of that happened.

Problem is, he was placed at GCC because of his father's influence and association with the Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. A very influential group at the time.
Second, had the scandals like Paul Guay been exposed then as they were now, I can tell you that he would have
removed immediately. They did try in the 1980s, but that was not successful.
The Kenneth Nally case was the second such instance where MacArthur should have been removed. Over time, John cultivated an elder board of businessmen who voted the way he did as they continued
to amass wealth. John was given houses, cars, property. Quid pro quo.
So, between the money, scandals and abuse, there were many instances where biblically he was disqualified, but he had the elder board in tow. Publishing companies funneled millions to him, though he wrote
Harris: He went to the elders on a Tuesday
Johnson: Steve informed the elders before the father confronted Steve
Trinity: "The elders were informed by Steve"-9/19
One Passion: Confessed to the board-9/20
Doubtful. All of it. Here's why:
1) It's the detail that two sources are saying. I'm forgetting what Benzinger said, but frankly, he'd be saying what Phil would say.
They're all trying to keep focus on Dallas. In both details, the father tells someone presumably in Dallas--either Steve or the elders, making
it possible that she was a Trinity congregant. But folks, this was a small church. Nothing like that could go on for five years unnoticed. No father, believing father, would go to the elders AFTER 5 years in the scenario that both men seem to be saying. It would make the
GCC--August 29th Sunday Service: "This lawsuit is going in our favor".
Crickets.
"Obviously many people contracted Covid...in December and January, that's when I began to realize how many people were ill. That's when Patricia and I "enjoyed" our own bout with COVID".
"We are grateful to the Lord that the County and the State of California want to settle this because they do not want a trial. That would not serve them well since Grace Church has flourished during this time".
Legal fees. Facts fuzzy.
"There has not been any word from the County, the County Health Department, at all tracing any kind of outbreak to Grace Community Church. We are grateful to that".
This kind of double-speak is so on brand. 1) How could the LADPH trace an outbreak if you did not report it?
So..it's been a day. Rained a bit, helped two family members with car trouble, but I see that GTY is being contemplated in the Twitterverse. This current review of Ortlund's book.
Let get right to it. 1) This isn't GTY, per se. Can anyone tell me who works at Grace to You?
2) This is Jeremiah Johnson, son of Phil Johnson, Elder of Grace Community Church and Executive Dir. at Grace to You. He also leads the Fair Oaks Ranch (Indian for Canyon Country adjacent) Grace Life Bible Study. He also is a Contributor to the GTY Blog. (darn bloggers!)
He is also co-undershepherd with Peter Sammons, professor at TMS. Remember both names.
(Peter Sammons, pictured on the left, was one of the professors who flaunted and mocked COVID regs. In addition to being a professor, he's also quite involved in Shepherd's Conference)
9,999th tweet. What can I say? I started this Twitter account to promote MDZ as a brand. It was a pandemic hobby that turned into a bit of fun. There were many highs, but far too many lows. I'm thankful to you all, even the haters, especially the haters, for the profound
blessings, insights, and fearlessness that you demonstrate in your own corner of the world. And to thank you, in the only way I know how: a Mixtape.
I'm fairly certain this is why Youtube was invented.
Tomorrow is Inauguration Day. I pray that it is peaceful and that it is not a continuation of what occurred on January 6th. I won't argue the merits of it. I can't imagine for a moment what the possible outcome could have been for even going to the Capitol. 1/
I watched as pastors were maligned, even condemned if they did not vote Trump. To attach one's own salvation to a vote. Shame on you and your damnable lies for adding to the stress and propping up a bullying culture because someone else thought and voted differently than you.2/
We will not forget still others who told Christians that they were not Christians if they voted "Democratic". It wasn't just John MacArthur, I assure you, but as he continued his campaign for Trump on every conservative outlet that would have him he emboldened other pastors
