At the request of the Tver Oblast District Prosecutorʼs Office, bas-reliefs of Polish military decorations were removed from the Mednoe Memorial Complex dedicated to the memory of murdered Polish officers.

In the section dedicated to Soviet citizens, victims of political repressions of the 1930s (i.a. the Great Terror) and 1950s, bust of Joseph Stalin and statues Vladimir Lenin, Felix Dzerzhinsky and Yakov Sverdlov were installed in Oct. 2023.
