Russian blogger “Philologist” considers the connection between newly appointed head of Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Force “Madyar” and HUR head General Budanov to be “very dangerous”.

“The appointment of Madyar as commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems…
1/ Image
“…Forces seems to be a much more symptomatic event than the recent strikes on transport communications, airfields for strategic aviation, and the Crimean Bridge. Symptomatic for our sluggish and clumsy side.
2/ Image
“The enemy's overall systematic approach to the comprehensive conduct of war by all possible means and methods is obvious.
3/
“At the same time, this systematicity is supported by organizational and management decisions and personnel policies that meet military expediency considerations.
4/
“The strikes we are missing are not only direct consequences of the war as such (this is natural), but first and foremost the result of the enemy's very effective military management.
5/
“In this case, I consider the connection between Budanov and Madyar, given the successfully functioning and developing public-private partnership program Brave1, to be very dangerous.
6/ Image
“Strikes at our distant and deep rear areas with the aim of undermining logistics, reducing our military potential and generally whipping up psychosis in our ossified command structures, combined with the development of the ‘Drone Line’ concept, …
7/
“…give the enemy quite good chances, given the slow pace of qualitative transformations in our Armed Forces.
8/
“In addition to the fact that the ‘Drone Line’ in principle appears to be a key element of the enemy's overall defensive strategy in terms of further depletion of our forces, this concept, if fully implemented, creates the preconditions for conducting a deep offensive operation.”

A Russian description of evolving tactics used by Ukraine's growing numbers of heavy drones (“Baba Yagas”) at night.

“‘Baba Yaga’ in conjunction with other types of drones.
1/
“The enemy, don't be stupid, does not stand still - he not only hones the most effective ways to use various types of weapons, but also improves them, inventing more and more new tactics for using this or that type. And heavy agrodrones like ‘Baba Yaga’ are no exception.
2/q Image
“So more and more often the enemy uses drones like ‘Baba Yaga’ accompanied by several attack FPV kamikaze drones, which are designed to strike at points from which anti-aircraft fire is conducted at ‘Baba Yaga’.

After the strategic aircraft attacks, a Russian blogger bleakly describes how aircraft are at risk all over the world.

“The passions about the planes have died down and we can take a sober look at the situation. Was the airport prepared to repel a UAV attack?
1/
“Yes! The famous conscript prepared to shoot down aircraft-type drones with an anti-aircraft gun. Could a conscript do anything against an FPV drone? No!

Let's face it. No airport in the world can repel an FPV drone raid. Let's take American facilities.
2/
“In Niger, I was filming a panorama of the capital and didn't even know that my drone was hanging over the American embassy. My commercial drone calmly flew over the Stars and Stripes, and even the satellites didn't jam it.

Ukraine's operation was not just brilliantly executed but perfectly timed.
Russian blogger “Russian Arms” said the following just yesterday!

“❗️⚡️Over the past two weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have redeployed about 40 Tu-22M3 long-range bombers to the Olenya airfield, …
1/
“… as well as about 20% of all Tu-95MS aircraft in the country. This is the largest redeployment of strategic aviation since the beginning of the conflict.

This redeployment may indicate that the Russian Aerospace Forces are preparing for a large-scale operation…
2/
“…designed to deal a crushing blow to Ukraine's key facilities - energy, transport, logistics, command centers, if Bankova rejects the proposed memorandum, which should become the basis for a future peace agreement with Ukraine.

EW expert Serhii “Flash” discusses possibly turning off Ukrainian mobile networks during mass “Shahed-136” kamikaze UAV attacks.
There are indications that the GLONASS guided Shaheds can receive instructions to change their flight profile after launch via these services.
1/
Modems with SIM cards for Ukrainian mobile networks have been found on downed Shahed-136s, as well as “Gerbera” and “Parody” decoy UAVs.
These drones were designed as cheap decoys to divert and saturate Ukrainian air defenses, but reconnaissance functions have been added.
2/ Image
The Russians claim to use them as reconnaissance drones to provoke and identify Ukrainian air defenses, and pass information back to Russia using mobile networks.
The flight profiles of the Shaheds can then be modified by communicating over the same route.

Ukraine has published a manual of standardized, detailed instructions for building anti-FPV road net tunnels.
Two main designs are covered, one for up to 20km from the front where the risk of FPV attacks on the construction unit is acute, and another for greater than 20km.
1/ Image
The first type uses no mechanized equipment heavier than a hand-held auger for drilling wooden post holes.
This allows the rapid evacuation of the crew into a shelter when Russian FPVs attack.
2/ Image
The second type more distant from FPVs allows the use of pile-drivers and other large equipment to rapidly set steel posts, and install a tunnel with a higher net roof.

An excerpt from Russian blogger “Philologist” argues that maneuver with masses of “fat” vehicles is being replaced by highly mobile, precision-strike drones.

“The issue of massing forces and assets in the direction of the main attack, I believe, requires a certain rethinking.
1/ Image
“Speaking about massing, in my opinion, it makes sense to focus on the concentration of highly mobile and high-precision strike assets (strike drones, loitering munitions, frontline aviation with guided munitions) with appropriate reconnaissance support, …
2/
“…by analogy with the massing of strike aviation during the Second World War, but without a dense concentration of ground forces vulnerable to long-range remote weapons of the enemy. It is precisely this concentration of strike assets that I regularly talk about.
