I have never seen a situation go from a negative to a positive in such a short space of time. I can't thank the donors that got us to the R15 000.00 BONUS. We not only made it, we surpassed it by R 4200.00. The donor alongside two well known businessmen in the motor industry
have in response challenged those who support the Homeless Emergency Fund this winter to continue donating till Friday 3pm. If we can get the fund to R30 000 (it now sits on R24 200 with another donation imminent as the staff will be donating R1500 this afternoon.
This will take the fund up to R25 700 which leaves us R4300 to raise to get - wait for it -R30 000 from our donor and another R10 000 each from the two car dealership owners. That is a total of R50 000 to add to the R30 000. Bringing our total to R80 000 for the
Winter warmers campaign we will; launch on Monday in association with the two dealerships. PLEASE SUPPORT US AND SHARE WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS. THIS IS A HUGE MILESTONE AND THE POINT THAT WILL DEFINITELY CHANGE THE FORTUNES FOR THOSE LIVING IN CRISIS.
Please help us help people in crisis like this lady as well as those living icy cold and wet lives on the street by donating towards the Homeless Emergency Fund. We need R4300 to qualify for an extra R50 000!

Good morning. Firstly, thank you to the donors that have supported our call for donations to get our Homeless Emergency Fund to R30 000 by this afternoon to R30 000. If we manage this milestone, we will receive an EXTRA R50 000 from three donors. We are R2800 short.
We only need 14 donors to donate R200 each. It has to reflect in our HEF GOAL ACCOUNT by no later than 16h00 this afternoon. So, donations made will have to be made for immediate payment in order to reflect. I cannot begin to tell you how important this windfall of R50 000 will
be towards our commitment to helping as many people living on the streets and in crisis during our Winter Warmers campaign this month and in July. We managed to accommodate over 50 individuals last month and I guarantee you the need is so much greater. We will report on every
Good morning all. This is an update on the Homeless Emergency Fund and what we managed to achieve and what the status is towards us again securing the all impoortant extra R20 000 from the funder for June. You will see based on this month's figures how essential this extra
R20 000 is towards us doing the work we do effectively. By the grace of God we also had the best month in so far as individuals that we have assisted over the last 17 months moving out of their rooms into their own accommodation. Most had already paid for the month of May and so
very generously made arrangements for the organisation to be able to take over those rooms for new residents. 67 of our old residents moved into their own rented accommodation. 37 of them on the 1st of the month and 30 of them during the month. These 30 gave us R22500 in
Let me tell you about how our City's law enforcement yesterday gave us an example of the freedom we enjoy in 2025. I understand our hard for fought freedom is enshrined in and protected by our constitution. And the laws that our law enforcement agencies enforce are supposed to be
in line with the rights that are protected by that same constitution. And despite numerous rulings that have found the City of Cape Town and it's Law Enforcement Agency to be incontravention of of those rights when it comes to their actions aimed at individualks who have created
homes on the street for lack of any other options. And NO, THE CITY SAFE SPACES WHEN OFFERED ARE NOT A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE- especially in this case where all those trargetted are couples with children, which the City still cannot accommodate without breaking up the family unit,
Good morning all. I admitted this weekend that I had made a mistake and in a few of my posts, said that I would repay those who assisted me and the staff of CM Homeless Solutions during USAID crisis this month back on Monday, the 15th of April. I explained that I had realised
my "wishful thinking mistake" and that it is in actual fact Tuesday, the 15th of April. Yet I have had one lender insisit I "keep my promise and pay (him) back today. I will find a way of paying this person back today, but I want this person to understand the horrible stress he
has put me under because of this demand. If your intent was to discredit me, I will not give you that pleasure. I will ensure that you are paid before close of business on Monday, THE 14TH! I made an honest mistake and I appealed for your understanding in this matter.
I am extremely upset this morning. Earlier on in the week I mentioned on this page that I had the promise of a loan of R500 to help one of our staff members and have assumed it would materialise. It has not.
The individual that made the offer asked me about each of the staff members and he chose Amanda, who is disabled. An arrangement was made to meet with him this morning at the McDonalds in Parow for breakfast. I phoned to confirm yesterday, nothing. I messaged yesterday -nothing.
I phoned this morning-nothing. I messaged this morning-nothing. Amanda and I and her little one were at McDonalds Parow this morning at 9am as per our telephonic arrangement- called, I message- we waited-
Good afternoon. We are now only R1000 short of helping all nine our staff members after their shock of having salaries frozen and then not paid last month.
This R1000 is R500 each for two of our moms with babies. They desperately need diapers and formula and both no longer have electricity at home.
Please contribute what you can. We need 10 people to contribute R100.
If there are two people that can each assist with R500, I will consider those as loans and will repay them on Monday. These are very urgent needs. Please contribute and share.
