Good morning. Firstly, thank you to the donors that have supported our call for donations to get our Homeless Emergency Fund to R30 000 by this afternoon to R30 000. If we manage this milestone, we will receive an EXTRA R50 000 from three donors. We are R2800 short.

We only need 14 donors to donate R200 each. It has to reflect in our HEF GOAL ACCOUNT by no later than 16h00 this afternoon. So, donations made will have to be made for immediate payment in order to reflect. I cannot begin to tell you how important this windfall of R50 000 will

be towards our commitment to helping as many people living on the streets and in crisis during our Winter Warmers campaign this month and in July. We managed to accommodate over 50 individuals last month and I guarantee you the need is so much greater. We will report on every

single intervention we take on this month and have together with our donors invited the CPFs and NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCHES in Parow, Goodwood, Bellville -in fact any Neighbourhood Wach or CPF to make a donation towards our shortfall of R2800 (AS IT STANDS THIS MORNING) and to then

notify us on this page of any challenges they come across in their communities to accommodate homeless people and we will respond with our intervention on this page to keep everyone up to date with how we handle those situations.

To our regular donors, we have been through a few crisis months and many of youassisted us both myself and the staff to get through that period. The staff have now for their second month received their salary and I too, have received mine. I still struggled last month as

my salary had to be utilised to cover loans as has a portion of my salry this month. I am receiving the balance today and many of you might not be aware of this- but I lost my flat during the crisis and moved into one of the lodges and although they are gorgeous rooms, my flat

stood like a beacon to me of how far I had come from living on the streets six years ago. It was psychologically a major struggle for me to deal with and was affecting me badly. I managed to,with the help of a number of those who follow me on this page to move back in last month

Thank you. It was difficult to approach people for a personal favour but it was all handled through the organisation so that donors would know it was above board. One can never be too careful in this sector as rumours abound over nothing.

I am mentioning this as I know that many donors donated to my personal challenge last month and might not be able to assist right now but if you do have the capacity to help us with R2OO today, please do. If we manage to qualify for the R50 000 today, there will be no further

urgent requests from our side for a while. 14 donations of R200, 7 donations of R400 or 2 donations of R1400 - that is all we need from you for the foreseable future but it must reach us before 4pm this afternoon. PLEASE DONATE AND SHARE IF YOU CAN
