Benny made a comment threatening to "hunt down every J6 and ICE agent" three days ago on X.
Why should we care that Benny is threatening federal agents? Because Benny is an active duty Navy JAG Officer. 1/6
Benny proudly shared his taking of the oath to join the US Navy JAG Corps last year on his LinkedIn account. 2/6
Yesterday, Benny got into a scuffle with the wrong one, and he quickly found out he wasn't as anonymous as he thought. 3/6
As soon as he was identified and called out in the comments, he nuked his account. 4/6
Normally I wouldn't care about comments like this, but since Benny decided to threaten federal agents, I'll post his comments directed at @SecDef as an added bonus. 5/6
Benny's chain of command has been notified. However, in case you'd like to follow up, this should help.
This kind of threatening behavior towards agents, who are already under fire, simply cannot be allowed, especially from an officer whose job is to provide legal advice to his command and holds sway over policy that affects potentially thousands of sailors. 6/6
The saga of Colonel Cinnamon Chielens, the Executive Officer of US Army Legal Services, continues to grow. (This is a thread 🧵)
While she was promotable to Colonel and attending Senior Service College (USDOJ Fellowship), she made numerous posts on her Facebook which have now been deleted.
In a series of posts she called "The Chaos Chronicals," she stated:
"One of the more frustrating aspects of this absolute dumpster fire of an administration is walking the very thin line of what I am, and am not, allowed to say. For decades and decades the military was a non-political 'agency' that kept rowing despite the party in power. Because of that AND the fact that we have to obey the LAWFUL orders of the Commander in Chief, Servicemembers talking shit about the President was not a good look. Times have changed, folks. When an administration politicizes US and uses US as pawns, as talking points, and has the unfathomable audacity to communicate that they somehow have the entire support of the military, then we have a problem.
This should not and cannot be a one-sided gag order. But because it is, for now, and isn't changing anytime soon….I have to find my form of resistance so that there is no doubt of where I stood when history judges these villainous cretins.
How are you finding your resistance voice? /1
In one of COL Chielen's Chaos Chronicles, she stated:
"I'm really struggling with how surreal it is to just be living our daily lives while Democracy crashes
down around us." /2
Full context on COL Chielen's conversation calling Republican Members of Congress Traitors... /3
Today would be a good day to update the JAG Corps thread. Let’s take a look at some of our military’s finest legal aficionados and what they've been up to since Trump was elected and see what kind of sedition, malicious compliance and/or calls for violence they’ve been engaged in…🧵
A group of field grade JAGs discussing the pride affinity network and how they'll work in the shadows to block Trump's Executive Order.
An Army JAG officer is having a conversation about the new administration’s policies and how “the silence is scarier” in reply to a comment about scary times. She replies to a comment about compliance and states “malicious compliance” in quotes, subtly suggesting more will be done to subvert the new policies.
According to my contact in the JAG community, “MAJ Revelle is one of the "anointed ones" of the JAGC and was given the unique opportunity to pursue an LLM in government affairs and then work in the Legislative Affairs office as a fellow. What this means is that Hope is representing the U.S. Army in Congress. I can only imagine the poisonous influence she will have in that office and the damage she will do to anything the GOP Majority attempts to do with regards to the military. She would be one of the first people they would go to for the Army's POV on legislation. Such a person can't hold this position during a Republican congressional Majority and Administration.”
🧵 This will be an ongoing thread for memos and emails pertaining to DEI policy changes within federal agencies.
As the DOD and other federal agencies respond to new guidance and directives, I want to track what they say vs. what they do.
The DHA (Defense Health Agency) issued a memo to their work force stating:
“We are taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DELA-related contracts in
accordance with President Trump's executive orders titled Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions.”
Minot AFB rebranded their DEI office under the new name “Organizational Culture Office.”
