🧵1/4 RE: Troops in LA, DT at Ft. Bragg -
I lived in Germany before & after Desert Storm, didn't hide my service, no need to, nobody said anything negative, even if they didn't know I served. I moved back to the US in 94, still didn't hide it. But then I overheard some things...
2/4 My high-end client berated his roofer & implied he was dumb, coming from the Army. The son of a client, who was being encouraged to go into the military, yelled "I'm not dumb". I started to sense a pattern, made me decide to never tell anyone that I served, let alone in war..
3/4 Since 95 I kept it a secret. I also heard a number of comments about ppl of color which let me know I was not alone, but they couldn't hide it. Years ago I got on Twitter & didn't hide my story anymore. Then came DT & this abhorrent cult. Now they're saying it in the open...
4/4 Now, the military will be more vilified than ever. Whiskey Pete's band of thugs. Bonespur DT is running every level of honor into the ground. I'm here to tell you that's okay -- tell them what you think, nobody had issues with telling me. People been saying it all along.

🧵2. The plight of Gazans has nothing to do with the "Free Palestine Movement" that lives in the west. Gazans have no voice in this world, their government is Hamas, a terrorist org. If FPM cared about Gazans they would be doing their best to secure aid & human rights for them.
🧵3. Comparing Gazans to FPM, the Holocaust, the horrific acts towards the Black community in 400+ years of oppression is a totally false equivalency. One event is no worse than the other, all were sparked & driven by inhumanity.

🧵Small sample of foods with eggs. Dairy, overall, should skyrocket due to #BirdFlu. Chicken, beef, pork, as well. Fish are unaffected but will be in high demand.
2 major concerns:
*cost / availability
*infection danger

🧵Cost / availability - supply & demand, they're culling thousands of chickens right now. Main concern is pet food, cats are strictly carnivores. Stock up on wet or dry food, back that up with canned tuna, etc.
Ezekiel brand bread is vegan & in the frozen section, my go-to...
🧵There are plant based alternatives to most every food now, these will be in high demand. I don't foresee a a shortage with the usual Covid-era products like TP, masks, etc. Could happen if the virus mutates to human to human transfer / aerosol, not yet, but looks possible...

I made a lot of new friends, as we all do here. I figured out that I always had Jews in my life, they were my classmates, clients in Europe. I felt I never belonged in my own settings so this made a lot of sense, I found my people...
Still, I'm an American first, a soldier, an NCO, a sergeant... but the more I learned, the more I understood what makes me intrinsically Jewish & why I needed to learn more about this & where I came from, who my brethren are...

🧵US Muslim storytime! I had a huge art studio in Houston & hosted events. A public institution reserved the whole room for a party, 2O female coworkers, all nice. One was wearing a hijab & drinking a water at the bar area, nobody was interacting with her but she looked calm.. Image
I went to her & greeted, "Salam!", she smiled & returned greeting. We chatted, she was from Oman. I wanted her to have a seat near the front, by me, instead of stuck in the back, alone. "Let's reserve your seat!", & I led her to the front, writing her name on the placemarker...
